Sadely we don't seen the owners...
We arrived at 6:00PM, nobody at home, just a paper on the main door invite us to enter.
I've sent them messages by WhatsApp but nobody has answer us.
We've going to sleep early, because we weak up early at 5:00AM for take the ferry boat.
Owners comes back home around 10:00PM when we are in bed.
So we never meet them, and we don't take the breakfast.

Well…it started off badly.
We called ahead twice for instructions to get access and we’re told there would be a note waiting for us on arrival.
Found the note and followed the directions to the unit.
At the top of the stairs I heard a voice shouting”who are you and what are you doing in my house?” I couldn’t see anyone yet but replied that we were there to rent her suite.
She finally appeared, her hair in a towel, admitted she was in the shower! She said we couldn’t possibly be as she knew who to expect. She told us to get out and she and my husband hashed it out. After dealing with the passive-aggressive hostility, we were given access to a different unit and settled in.
Inside the unit we had no water glasses. We had a mug with water still in it and another one with a sticky rim.
There was no Kleenex.
The 2 steps down to the bathroom was dangerous and another step to the shower area was a construction zone in progress. A long cobweb strung out from the shower light and water was still on the shower step!
The bed was saggy and tippy- felt like sleeping in a bucket seat.
Finally…sharing the 2- car drive with the owner and two other visitors didn’t work for us as we had an early morning ferry to catch, therefore we had to park across the street.

We had the north room, which was large and comfortable. It was accessible via a tight spiral staircase indoors or an easy staircase from outdoors. The hostess was not as outgoing as some B&B owners but she was pleasant and happy to have breakfast ready very early before our fishing charter. Breakfast was good but more basic than some B&Bs. Several menu choices were offered. Dogs were noisy on arrival but quiet otherwise. Those looking for a classic B&B experience with an elaborate breakfast and a chatty hostess might be mildly disappointed, but if you are happy with a comfortable room and good breakfast for a fair price this is a good choice.

Our host woke up super early to accommodate us for breakfast one morning. We felt very taken care of.
4.3
The property was all but neat and not very clean. Other guests were terribly noisy and the landlady either did not want to or did not seem to be able to request them to be less noisy. She also was not very friendly when and after we checked in.
4.3
Host was extremely accommodating.
She helped to make the stay another enjoyable part of our time in the area.
4.3
Neighborhood not very appealing with several houses in poor condition. Fishermen house nice and tidy. Ok breakfast but not very welcoming.
4.3
Andrea (Host) is very friendly and cooks a great breakfast. She even has gluten free options for those who need it.
4.3
We do not recommend this B&B. Out of all the stays this far in our 32 days road trip it is the worst.
Host shouldn't be in hospitality. Very poor welcome, no clarity on protocols, old tired decor, furnishings, bedding and towels. No curtains, blinds didn't fit windows. No coffee/tea/kettle facilities in room or communal areas. Clean but cluttered.
Left early for Ferry, the reason for going to PR so unable to comment on breakfast. Luckily we had taken our own provisions.
4.3
the breakfast was good. The host not so friendly
4.3
Check in involves a note taped to front door with a request to call when we arrive. I did call and host not welcoming. No instructions or directions
Towels had holes and bleach stains. Burned out lights. I reserved 2 nights but turned out it was 2 different rooms.no fridge or amenities Ad shows pic of same room?
Don’t stay there if you’re not a dog person.
Breakfast pathetic. Property needs a clean up.
Host did make us coffee for our 5am departure 😊
4.3
Same pic for every room.
Questionable safety -front door always open
Barking dogs
Breakfast pathetic

The photos on Expedia are much different looking than the actual property. Pretty misleading.
4.3
It was definitely different than we anticipated, and the photos online are of what it maybe used to look like. Our room smelled quite musky, had quite a lot of flies, and some of the kitchenette appliances had mold in them. The bed was very soft, even for my soft bed loving partner, and it felt unsupportive.
It is important to note that the bathroom is down some stairs, which someone with mobility issues may not be able to access easily.
The free breakfast was a pretty uncomfortable experience and one that we would not recommend. When we went in the main house for breakfast, we were greeted by a very quiet, seemingly unhappy individual, and we felt very awkward and as though we were an inconvenience. Coffee mugs and plates had somd crusted food on them, but we were too uncomfortable to say anything.
Meeting the dogs after breakfast was nice though!
Overall, definitely not a 'bed and breakfast' vibe- maybe it used to be.
The highlight was that it was a pet friendly place.

Some work needs to be on the taps on the tub, they were broken.
First time staying at a B&B and although nice set up, if i had a worse back issue i couldnt have gotten up the tight staircase to our room and we didnt find our hostess very hospitalible. Although nice, just wasnt what we were expecting.
4.3
Very comfortable room.
4.3
Lovely spot in a very quiet neighbourhood. The owner is an enterprising woman who made us a fantastic breakfast. It was interesting to learn of the politics and economic picture of Prince Rupert.
4.3
Pleasant neighborhood, very quiet.
4.3
Property is old and unkept but it suits the neighborhood. Relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was okay, very simple, not really as advertised. The house is unique but needs some care, paint, repair ect
4.3
Awesome place to stay
4.3
Check in is via a bit of paper stuck to the front door, the front door to the property is unlocked all day and night. I understand guests arrive at different times but I would have felt safer and more relaxed with a key code entry to the property. The property is quirky and it was quiet through the night. The host was unwelcoming and quite rude.
4.3
I don't normally stay at a B&B but since the place had high ratings, I made an exception. In spite of the high ratings, I found my suite to be average at best. My room faced directly towards a driveway and with the open curtains there was no privacy. Bed was soft and lumpy, not good if you have back problems. Bathroom was in the basement and not easily accessible if you have mobility issues.
Perhaps the other suites were better,

Our stay was lovely. Breakfast was great. Andrea is a lovely hostess. Got to enjoy the giant soaker tub. King size bed, lots of entertainment. I’m usually sensitive to smells and chemicals but I was fine, nothing bothered my breathing. We would stay again.
4.3
Close to park, easy to walk dog

Tall trees is a lovely, unique place to stay in PR. The owners also lovely and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was made from scratch and very good. I stayed in the East suite, which would be good for families. The room was clean and quiet, but the bed a bit soft for my liking. I would stay here again and maybe try one of the other suites, if available.
4.3
Very nice and quiet place. Noth room was very comfortable and provided us with plenty of room for the 4 of us. Grand kids enjoyed their breakfast and the 3 puppies that live there. Easy walk to town. I would stay there again.
4.3
Really friendly owners, room is comfortable, but it's a little chilly in the winter. A space heater is provided but is a bit slow to heat up the space. Otherwise really pleasant
4.3
Decent rooms.
Clean enough.
Mattress on bed seemed well-used but comfortable enough.
Breakfast was over-rated. Very basic.
4.3
I like the jacuzzi and fare size of the room.
4.3
Since this was a heritage home, there was no central heating so we needed the down comforter and the electric heater provided. The breakfast was fresh and made to order. It was nice to visit with the owner and other guests.
4.3
The stay was great, comfy bed and rhe host is great

I had read great reviews for this property and had been trying for years to get to Prince Rupert and to stay at this bed and breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not quite up to the description. It would have been nice to know that one had to go down some steps to access the bathroom. Even though we are an older couple without any mobility issues, we were always extremely careful about going down to the bathroom, especially as the lighting wasn’t great. The room looked okay, until I had to find items that had rolled under the bed and sofa. Someone needs to take a little time and “swifter” under the bed, sofa, and wine shelf. There was a bar fridge available which was nice. Unfortunately it had to be located under a stairwell. Understand why it had to be put there, but I never could find a light switch so that I could see in the room. I had to use the flashlight in my phone when getting something out of the fridge. Only two bath towels and one hand towel in bathroom and neatly empty hand and body soaps. The day of our check in, the property manager was very helpful in explaining which remote to use in order to access various tv options. But when we wanted to pay our bill so we could check out early the next morning, it was difficult to connect with her as she was extremely busy. Never located the smoke detectors - hopefully they were somewhere. Pluses - pet friendly and private entrance

This is the first time for me at a b&b, and I was pleasantly surprised at being able to walk right in and get settled :)
The decor is brilliant and we loved that we entered and experienced the circular staircase with the convenience of the side stairs. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning!

Lovely made to order breakfast. Friendly owner with very welcoming demeanour :)

Such a great stay st my favourite bnb in Rupert! Clean and friendly, with lots of room to relax!
4.3
Pillows and towels need replacing. Glassware in our room needed washing. Room looks nothing like the photo. Most basic breakfast we've ever been served in a B&B. Little effort put into it. Floor between bedroom and bathroom needs immediate repair. It's a hazard.

We had a great stay at Tall Trees - we were able to self check in when we got off the ferry at midnight. It was a little tricky knowing which door to enter, but we got to our room which has a chalkboard showing we’d got the correct one. We had to park on the street because there were two cars in the driveway and despite plenty of space we were worried about parking someone in if they left early. Street parking was fine though and we left all our luggage in the car overnight with no worries.
We had the east room for our family of four. The king bed was massive and SO comfortable, the kids were comfy in a bunk (watch your head on the roof!) and the room was super clean and a great size. We met Andrea downstairs who had had a hard night but warmed up quickly and cooked us a delicious breakfast with perfume eggs and yummy bread and we really enjoyed her conversation, anecdotes and tips about the area. We met the crazy little band of dogs once we’d finished breakfast and we left via a beautiful nature trail out the back and saw a Bald Eagle on our walk to the jetty. Great value, happily recommend.

Went down for breakfast and no one there, when host did come in,there was no greeting, I had to ask for cream and sugar for coffee, eggs were kind of slopped on the plate had to ask for salt and pepper. Cold toast, no fruit . Host didn’t seem to hospitable. She kept blowing her nose while we’re eating, she could of gone to bathroom to do this😗
