We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, the pool and hot tub were great. The continental breakfast was great, probably the best one I’ve been to that offers breakfast included. The only thing that was a decent con was that the room smelt really bad whenever we first entered after being out of it. We tried opening the window, putting the fan on, etc but it smelt like mold or mildew quite badly. We asked another guest if her room smelt and she said yes it did as well so it wasn’t just ours. Otherwise a great stay.

They served the right food for the breakfast and it’s free for all guests.

Room was nice. Grounds were nice. Area was nice. Service was ok. Could hear neighbors so noise was a slight issue. Was surprised to see a bit of a social position displayed by the hotel.

Pros: safe, quiet, and nice and professional staff who were able to handle irate guests. Cons: Rooms are clean but well used in places, like carpeting, caulking, etc. The maintenance in and around the pool needs more attention, as there is a lot of mineral deposits and rust around the equipment etc. towels for pool area appear to be chopped in half and was thread bare. Cleaning is quick and efficient but definitely not thorough. The carpets are no vacuumed regularly enough and the tiles not wiped/mopped. Action plans to make it Marriott standard: 1) update rooms 2) retrain staff with an improved attitude in mind of what standards they want to achieve and beat the competition 3) have better oversight of cleaning staff. I have been to many hotels around the US and Europe; best hotels have very noisy cleaning staff - you can see them working the cart and the rooms. Many are friendly and will always greet us and/or ask if we want our room cleaned or not. These people are proactive. 4) provide complimentary water to guests. It's a nice and very cost-effective gesture for all guests who are travelling. It makes guests feel welcome and want to come back again. Plus it cools potential fires and conflict that may arise.

Came in for WWU graduation. This is a convenient location-close to college, town and hiking. Nice little free breakfast included.

Lovely hotel, but the person behind the bar should pay more attention to who is waiting at the bar. We were hungry and had been waiting, another couple walked up and was immediately waited on after we had patiently waited for two picky older ladies who were ordering specific ingredients for their drinks. We left to go elsewhere to eat. We were tired and would have preferred to eat in.

Very nice property & was a great place for my family & I to stay. Staff was great & kind and we all liked the breakfast & it wasn’t the same everyday of our stay. We liked it so much that we decided to stay here again when we come back through town. Thanks for a great stay!

The cleaning person was so helpful I stayed at 235, he was so helpful with to bring fresh towels and toiletries. Well done as a young guy was so respectful and pleasant to talk knowledgeable when I asked anything about the property. He is such a great worker

Nice property

I paid 370 dollars for one night here and I could have had better experience at a Motel six. It was horrendous. My Friend and I were looking forward to staying at the Marriott because it is suppose to be luxury. It was NOT. There was someone else's toothpaste in the sink, the floor was dirty, the bed had someone else tissue paper in it. I called the front desk and I told her and she literally said nothing I said did you hear me? she said I will tell housekeeping. I would have made a big fuss normally however we were tired as we had been up since five shopping since 7, now after four in afternoon, as well as huge rain storm. I thought they may offer another suite but nada just rude, slow poorly dressed staff. We decided to clean it ourselves-great day away cleaning. Then we went for dinner and the menu was very limited and I am gluten free so that limits it more, so we ordered BBQ chicken nachos- what we got was just gross stale chips, no chicken and a few specs of cheese and wait for it BBQ sauce drizzle all over it - so gross- the sourcream was old the guacamole the same and the salsa from a jar and not a good one. We also had very greasy wings. . Fun girls trip and so far we had cleaned our gross suite and now this. We noticed that only religious groups were given free water when checking in no one else. I send a letter to the Marriot and they just offered me points which I do not collect. No impressed at all. Done with the Marriot.

We stay at Springhill Suites every time we come to Bellingham! We love the free breakfast which always has a ton of choices and is very good. The location is excellent and the staff is normally very friendly and efficient. The facilities are usually very clean and pleasant. They could use a few more options in the gym and this last visit they did not clean our room on the appointed day, but they did the next day. We will return.

staff was courteous. The worse Mariott Ive ever stayed in. room,.wall, floor and sofa was dirty with stains. bathroom faucet loose and sink wouldnt drain.

While we loved the property and the staff, ammenties, and breakfast were fantastic, we were really surprised at the fact that our room was never tidied during our staff. While we were only there 3 days, 2 nights, the garbages did fill up and as we had brought some food back, it did somewhat cause the room to smell. As well as the towels being limited, they weren’t as fresh as you would usually expect. That being said, we still had a wonderful stay and the hotel was very clean and well managed. Also in a great area very easily accessible to the highway.
