Quiet room, comfortable bed. Great breakfast and right next to Fred Meyer and Starbucks. And gas up before you go at Costco across the street! There was a homeless camp across the street but no troubles. About 15 or so minutes from Western Washington University.

Everything was great until the 5th night of our stay… I stopped by the front desk to redo our keys … The flippant front desk person named Sydney was incredibly rude and combative, on top of being completely inexperienced and inept . I will not be back until the property discharges this liability .

Nice clean property, friendly staff, homeless population is a little concerning but my car was not impacted. They should fence the parking area and not allow loitering.

They have a giant fireplace in the lobby that can get uncomfortably hot and one can smell it’s vented smoke outside in the parking lot and even inside sometimes if you have a room drawing in air from that direction. There do seem to be some non guests hanging around in the parking lot and the police were there in the parking lot at least once to deal with some situation.

There was several disappointments. First, the wifi in our first room was non-existent or paralyzingly slow. We told front desk after first night and we were offered a room change which the wifi improved immensely. The bathroom fans were extremely dusty in both rooms. We mentioned it and it was cleaned in second room. I dunno, just something I notice and clean all the time in my home. The containers that contained our shampoo, conditioner, etc were low and we could not extract any through the pumps. I mentioned to the front desk and it was not refilled for the next day use. Luckily I always carry some with me, so used my own. Our room was not cleaned one day, so I had to call to front desk to get towels refreshed. I had thrown them in the tub after use, so they were wet and could not be re-used. Lastly, they got our reservation wrong. Had us checking out a day early. I checked our reservation to see if I made a mistake… nope! Also across the street from a homeless encampment - I know that is part of society, but chances of theft or damage to parked cars is greater.

The rooms had a very old feel to them, the parking was atrocious and the area is very unsafe. There were not enough parking spaces at the hotel and some of the other guests were quite unsavoury. Our room smelt of campfire in the morning and the bedding was not very enjoyable. This hotel would not be our first choice for a place to stay.

This is my second stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites. The staff are very pleasant, the facility is decent but the TV service is very poor. Newsmax and Fox are NOT actual reputable news channels and that's what was on offer. Yes CNN was there which was more balanced. The selection of channels for regular shows was poor as well. There are lots of options in Bellingham and I'll pick another hotel next trip.

Very good service at the check in and out desk. Room was good, bed was comfortable. Things are looking a bit worn. Paint was peeling above the shower. Overall a good deal and a comfortable room.

I feel like, and I mean this nicely, but I feel like when u bring up something the staff doesn’t care. I don’t believe they fix it or try to. For example my phone wouldn’t work well. I explained why and the gentleman said ok I’ll let them know but u could the body language was eh who cares. So #2 my wake up call also didn’t get done. Again he said the girl the night before put the note in for my date time for a year earlier ??? Which I found was odd and the answer was so I didn’t want to wake u up at 6 incase. Again umm ok. The last time I also had issues. I had maid service come in when I had do not disturb on. My key card also wouldn’t work and the new outdoor jack in box voice box? Kept me up in the night as it sounded like the wizard of oz in the sky talking. When I inquired he just said yah it’s Jack in box so it was nice to know but i have never heard it before and it kept me up. The next guy I checked out with was super pleasant. He thanked me. Asked me how things were. SMILED omg he SMILED and was personable and gave me more info on jack box voice outside as others complained. The breakfast is always amazing there. I loved it. Parking is great. Beds are so comfortable and sofa in room is to die for comfortable. So pros cons but I overall would go back. Just wish staff were more friendlier, confident and knowledgable and want** to help and willing. Anywho…

Pros: friendly staff; good breakfast; nice room. Cons: abysmal internet - reminded me of the old dial-up days, waiting for the circle to quit spinning; and dogs. Dogs everywhere. Dogs in the halls, breakfast room, lobby, elevators, and all around the grounds. I later learned from another guest (with a dog) that this is a go-to property in Bellingham for dog owners. I don't mind dogs, but by the end of the visit I couldn't help imagining all the dogs that had slept on the bed.

Pros: Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was Great! Cons: A lot of homeless outside and some came inside. Walls a bit thin. Someone was vacuuming at 6am next room and woke me up. Needs a lot of work to fit the pool area.

The hotel was fine. Dog friendly. There was a homeless camp across the street & there were many druged out people walking about. When we took our dog out we were aporoached by these people. It is really sad that the city does not help those people.

I stayed here a bunch of times in July of 2024, Stephanie at the front desk is a gem! Right by a Fred Meyers store, which does attract some homeless, but they’re harmless I found a great running route nearby, it’s close to downtown Bellingham and would recommend staying here

The place was nice and clean. The were some general maintenance issues that needed to me done to make the hotel just that much better. Little things such as peeling wallpaper around the shower and the shower curtain leaking and water all over the floor. Good thing was the grab bars in the bathroom and shower.

The property was ok. It is a bit older and a little run down. My husband enjoyed the breakfast that was included. Our room was next to a busy street ane the lot across the street had a motion activated sound system- that warned of loitering in the moddle of the night. It went off alot. The employees were friendly and helpful.

I’ve stayed here a number of times the night before the Ragnar relay race. It’s safe enough and clean. The parking lot is small and it’s in the back of a hotel cluster. Not a destination and can be loud when guests aren’t quiet, but serves the purpose of a place to rest your head. Staff are courteous and efficient. Coffee is pretty terrible, but Starbucks is across the parking lot.

We were there the night of the Stanley Cup hockey final and were disappointed that their tv channels didn't include a sports channel or the ABC channel that carried the game. It was a surprise that the tv channels were so limited. That's not usually important but that one night it was!

The staff was nice and friendly, the room was as expected. The facility is older with a new facelift. The swimming pool area needs work. The shower was broken, hot tube was not working when we were there and there were no towels. The elevator was most annoying because the doors would not close and you had to wait, the close door button was not responsive. The area the hotel is located is a little sketchy but it’s right next door to a Fred Meyers which was convenient.

The counter staff was great. The cleaning crew very good and the breakfast lady kept everything clean. The suite was good but not enough seating. The sofa bed had seen better days unfortunately.

Very good impression. I have stayed at 2 different La Quinta’s in a seven day adventure and this was the economical hotel chain that I was most impressed with. Clean, safe, nicely updated.
