We had a nice room in the courtyard of the pub. It was quite simple, but had everything we needed and was comfortable. The breakfast we had was excellent - especially the butcher's sausages.

Enjoyed a lovely, romantic mini break here. Very clean room (no.4 in the garden) great shower pressure, working tv, tea, coffee, hair dryer, iron, easy check-in. Excellent full english cooked breakfast and fruit cereal etc. Although its a pub inn its a very peaceful room because the pub is more of a gastro pub and everyone went home by 10pm so we had an extremely good night sleep. Recommended!

The owner and his wife, and every other member of the team we encountered could not have been more polite and helpful. We'll definitely be back next time we're down that way.
Special shout out to the fish pie, if you eat there, order it!

Excellent hosts
Room a little tired, but clean.
Breakfast very good, generally all the food option great.
Staff friendly and helpful

Very welcoming staff, and food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. The only reason I’ve marked it down a little was the mattress in one of our rooms didn’t fit the bed frame! The mattress was a double on king size bed frame. I also felt that the taped up loft hatch in our room was untidy looking which is a real shame

Lovely quiet property conveniently placed for Chichester and surrounding area. Fantastic breakfast will definitely be back.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay as a surprise birthday treat for my husband at the Bull’s Head and have had the most enjoyable time. I cannot praise it enough. Of all the various types of accommodation we have stayed in over the years, I have to say this comes out on top. The food was absolutely excellent, having eaten in every evening and both trying different meals each time. The breakfasts are to die for & will be sadly missed when I return to my morning porridge! The actual pub is very old and maintains all the charm of its ancient history- so cosy, with little ‘nooks’, plenty of seating to enjoy your food. It has a very friendly atmosphere which reflects on all the bar & waiting staff. They work extremely hard & are so friendly & helpful. The outside seating area is perfect, plenty of places to sit & enjoy last of evening sunshine.
We stayed in a converted barn - one of four - I think it is next in line to be refurbed. The owner and his wife Nicki are so friendly & nothing was too much trouble - and I must say - after the few days we were there, made us feel as though we’d known them forever.
Thank you so much for our stay & you certainly haven’t seen the last of us!

Very easy ground floor access with own entrance, handy if, like us, you were arriving after theatre and pub was closed. Well appointed room, excellent, freshly cooked breakfast to order, and friendly staff.
Strongly recommend

Extremely pleasant stay the staff were friendly and efficient, The room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. The only minor issue was the lighting by the mirrors we found inadequate for getting ready for a wedding and it would have be nice to have a full length mirror. Breakfast wad great and will certainly stay again. Many thanks for making our stay most enjoyable.

Nicki and Craig were awesome! The staff were just great - friendly and very helpful, even when they were very busy. Food was just great - you have to try the sunday roast - you won't be dissapointed AND the breakfast was enough to get you through the dya. Highly recommendede english pub!

Single duvets were a bit small, otherwise a very pleasant stay and lovely breakfast

Friendly, but chaotic welcome! We were asked to order our breakfast, but there weren't any breakfast menus left so the person who checked us in hoped he remembered everything we could have!
The room was fine, needs updating, something the owner told us over breakfast they would be doing.
Breakfast was very nice, perfect poached eggs and delicious mushrooms, and the fresh fruit was welcomed.
The owners were both very friendly at breakfast - and helpful about where to visit locally.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, food was above average pub food. Rooms fine but getting a bit tired. Convenient for Goodwood event we were at.

Both the evening meal and breakfast were very good. Really tasty food. The room itself was only ok. Stains on carpets, rickety toilet seat that squeaked, stained ceiling in bathroom, dated decor and facilities, All little things. All in all it was fine. It is rated a three star and it is, but with a higher charge. Not sure it should be £145 a night.

Excellent service amazing food great comfort

Breakfast was lovely, friendly chatty chef, breakfast box was a little dissapointing, more a packed lunch than a breakfast and provided the night before with no fridge to keep it in, ate it the night before as wouldn’t have touched it the next day! Nice rooms in the car park, a little over priced for what they are in my opinion.

Our booking was partly based on previous feedback, and the need to be close to Chichester.
The problems we encountered were dealt with professionally by the proprietors, and breakfast was absolutely 5 star.
However, compared with other similar places we have stayed for the same price, the en-suite was small, carpets grubby, and the bed and pillows uncomfortable. As we entered the room, there was a smell of damp.
All this said, it would not take much to refresh the room, including the curtains having enough hooks so that they hang properly!
2.5
A very nice self contained room which was clean and tidy and very quiet, even though it is part of a pub.
It is also in a great location, 10 minutes from a train station and 25 minutes walk to Chichester, and easy to get to Brighton, Portsmouth and other tourist sites.
2.5
We had a really lovely stay here. Room was comfortable and clean. The staff were amazingly friendly and very helpful. Food was delicious and came out piping hot and very well cooked. They obviously have somebody who know what they’re doing in the kitchen.
Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

A Nice friendly pub with good food and helpful staff.

We enjoyed our stay at The Bulls Head. Chose the location for a few days break close to Chichester and the Coast. The accommodation was just right for a few days away. Nice location - if the weather had been better, we would have loved to explore the public footpaths nearby. We walked to Fishbourne Palace which makes for a good day out. We went to Chichester by car and really explored the City - fascinating Museum
there. Went by train to Portsmouth - railway station is also walkable.
Accommodation was just right - newly renovated room, good shower, comfortable bed.
Breakfast was very good - freshly cooked, local ingredients. Also ate in the Restaurant three nights - wide ranging menu, freshly cooked. Can particularly
recommend the Fish n Chips and the Fish Pie. Always a good sign when the locals choose to eat in their local pub.
Hosts and all staff we met made us feel welcome.
Would definitely return!

We had a wedding in Bosham rectory farm. Booked the Bulls head for one night stay over. Were able to pick our keys up earlier in the day. Rooms were seperate from the pub building so perfect for coming back a bit later when the pub was closed. Beakfast was second to none. People very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean. Highly recommend and would use again. Thankyou

We went out for the evening and on return, switched the kettle on. The electricity then blew. We were situated in an annex to the public house which closed at 10. We phoned and left a message explaining what had happened.
In the morning, we were still without power. I went over to the pub where they were setting up for breakfast to ask someone to address the issue. They had received my message on their answerphone but hadn’t come out to us to rectify unprompted. The owner then came over to the room to trip the switches. (These were in a box on the wall which was too high for us to reach).
Whilst tea and coffee were provided in the room, this hadn’t been checked as there was only one tea bag. After raising the issue, more supplies were brought to the room.
There were bedside lamps, but no lightbulbs. The owner said they must have been stolen. It was irrelevant anyway as we had no power!
The owner promised us a £50 refund for the inconvenience of the lack of power and were told it would be refunded by Hotels.com within 5 working days. 16 working days later and we are still waiting ….
Breakfast was good.

Lovely staff and owners breakfast was smashing and dining was very good, beers and wine excellent. This is not a moan but an observation. Our room was fine but it really needs a makeover and a deep clean of the carpet, but overall very, very good and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night break.

A comfortable and quiet room. Good location for activities in Chichester. A very good breakfast.
2.5
Very comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped room at this friendly pub. The rooms are housed in a separate building from the pub and very well set out. I stayed in room 1 which is accessed directly from the car park. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate with a great shower and the facilities in the room couldn’t be faulted.
Breakfast was cooked to order and the food in the evenings was plentiful and very tasty - the steak pie was exceptional!
This is a gem of a hotel, the staff are very friendly, the food is great and the rooms have everything you need.
