The hotel was very clean and comfy. Had all amenities listed. They let us check in early. Owners were very nice. That being said, free breakfast was not what I expected. It wouldn't even be considered continental. Would be better off not to advertise free breakfast and just have free coffee and tea throughout the day.

Check in was lacking enthusiasm & appreciation for stay, no added extras, just checked us in. The pool wasn’t heated as I was told, but opened. The door to get in the hotel had to be manually opened & closed; risking safety for people staying. The rooms were clean but outdated.

The grounds were clean and there is a long piece of property that meanders down towards the lake area. Down that path is a set of swings, a lovely vegetable garden, then a chicken and rooster pen and house. It would be nicer if you could walk down to the lake, but there was a path with clam shells covering the path further down, which was decievingly impassible. The owners tried to pile clam shells in the area to build up the soil, but a couple people in our party sunk into swamp holes with their nice shoes, and we couldn't continue down to the lake we were told was accessible. There was a distant view of the lake from the balcony off the room, that also overlooked a golf course. The balconies were under the shade trees, which was lovely. The pool and hot tub were large. Though the pool was unheated, it was clear, with just a few leaves and debris. The hot tub was wonderful. There is a cute shuffle board court. The free breakfast was okay, and very limited, but at least they tried. The coffee was Folgers, and mediocre, but I was happy to have coffee to drink at 7:30am. The room was clean, but the coverlets weren't fresh. I left a cookie wrapper on the bedside table at night, and in the morning, a large swarm off tiny ants were everywhere. Considering we were on the second floor, I would imaging the problem was longstanding, and they don't have a professional pest control company. There was a problem with the balcony slider doorhandle, and they were prompt in fixing it.

Reading all the reviews I was very iffy about this property. But I met the owner and his wife they are very lovely people they are just from a different culture. They’ve literally built this place I think they said I’m the 80’s and told us the whole story. This place was very nice. And there was breakfast. A small selection but the owner was very attentive and just wanted to help. They had bagels, muffins, fruit, cereal, and yogurt. The place was clean, nice pool and close to Misquamicut beach. Would highly recommend. Oh and the restaurant right next door was fantastic!

My order was deluxe room with two queen beds , when I got in the room was not any different from a standard room. The beds were not queens size. I spoke with receptionist. He rudely confirmed it was queen beds. I do not think I am mistaken they probably advised all double beds as queens. The room number is 101.

The property and rooms are clean and attractive. However I was put off by the brusque manner of the Management - both the desk clerk and the woman taking care of breakfast. I didn't do anything that called for the clerk to be crude to me when I only asked for the WiFi password.

The facilities were great - pool, hot tub, hotel room; but the check in staff was not very helpful or friendly! Also, for the price of our stay, the breakfast left a lot to be desired as there were very limited choices on what to eat.

The heated pool was not heated, the hot tub was not hot, the room smelled like cigarettes, the room was damp, the blankets and towels need a serious upgrade, the staff at the front was difficult to communicate with and was dismissive of concerns I tried to verbalize.

It was a nice room that overlooked the golf course. Quiet too. Had option to open door to porch for air or air conditioning. Bed was comfortable too. I put out the room service card and it was done nicely when we returned. Very clean.

Very pleasant room and grounds. Large clean pool. Nice breakfast. Quiet and comfortable. Very close to Misquamicut and Watch Hill. Venice Restaurant was great. Affordable price.We would highly recommend this hotel.

Winnapaug Inn was nice, clean and we enjoyed the restaurant nearby. The rooms are big and had everything we needed. We only stayed for a few days but I would definitely consider staying for a week here. The continental breakfast was simple and was kept up and the restaurant, next to the restaurant was convenient. We enjoyed watching the golfers in the morning, from our patio so if you are a golfer, this resort offers that for viewing or the chance to play as well. I will definitely be back and the only thing I could suggest to the owners is to maybe offer a weekly rate or even a few special rates during slower months, for guests.

A good deal at this price point, and very convenient and quiet. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Location is close to the beach and the highways, but far enough away to be quiet. Great for a weekend getaway!

While booking I was told they don’t guarantee Expedia rooms. I could get there & if they were full from their own bookings we wouldn’t have a room. Wanted to change me 3 times what Expedia charged us! He (Alex) also had hung up on me twice! When checking in very unwelcoming & never told us about there coffee room from 7-10. Happened spin it night before we left. Or that they had towels at pool. Sink & shower were clogged. No one at pool stopping some guests from jumping, diving, running around & being loud!
