Been going up to Ludington, MI for over 63+ years and finally bought a place on Hamlin Lake so I needed somewhere to stay and Ive always wanted to stay at Viking Arms it looks very Welcoming! It was the Best! Great rooms, friendly owners, Clean, well taken care of and just perfect for what I needed. Always recommend.

We stayed one night this time. We were in the area a few nights again this trip like we were in 2021. This time we were not as impressed. In 2021 the place needed some updates and this has taken place but this time we were in room 155. The rate was the same, we were surprised about this. However, I guess they had not used the room in sometime. The room was dusty. The jetted tub would not come on without messing with the button for 5-10 minutes. The TV seemed to be going out. The picture was blurry, and the colors were off. Of course, no one was at the front desk to address the concerns at check out. I just dropped the key and left.

Clean, comfortable, Mom&Pop motel. Motel is older, but well maintained. Bathroom was small, but appreciated that sink area is separate from tub and toilet room. Great shower pressure. Outside sitting areas around the pool and separate gazebo area were welcome places to rest after a day of golf at beautiful Hemlock Golf Club or hiking in nearby Nordhouse Dunes recreation area.
Will definitely stay here again on our next trip through.

The family that owns this property were so kind and good. Always a hello and how are you doing and they meant it. didn't seem like you were just a number. The room smelled so good when I first entered, a very light floral scent. The grounds were kept immaculate. A pool for the kids, a gazebo for smokers and Adirondak chairs under a shade tree. Thank you for a great stay

The front desk called my room twice at 10:50 pm waking up my family only to ask us if we had a white car (we don't). Apparently there was a white car parked in the wrong spot and instead of just improvising they decided to call rooms on the loud room phone late at night and ask if they were parked in the wrong spot. It was beyond inconsiderate and unprofessional, i will never stay here again and would recommend others not to stay here as well.

Hotel was fine. Older hotel but kept up, nice pool. But they gave us a room that had a locked door that led to our room and 2 others. We go back to tell them this and they acted like it wasn’t possible. So the desk lady comes out to check and sure enough it’s locked. She says she’ll get the key and be right back. She doesn’t come back but some teenager comes and checks the door and then says she’ll get the key, which she eventually does. Did you think we were lying? Just grab the key and unlock the door. We sat there with our bags waiting far too long just for you to grab a key and unlock the door.

Old-school family vacation motel, complete with pool in the courtyard, with some modern updating done to the rooms. My room was clean and comfortable, and refreshed every day. I didn't like the tiny shower, and I'm not a fan of PTAC units, but overall I was satisfied with my room. Great location, just far enough away from the thick tourist traffic that clogs downtown on weekends.

My family and I have been going to Ludington for a very long time. We have almost every time stayed here, even with the ownership change this place doesn’t fail to be enjoyable and relaxing. Nice pool and hot tub. Awesome gazebo. The only quarrel we have is the gazebo being the smoking area. Overall great choice, usually more affordable than other stays.

The Viking Arms was a pleasant surprise. It appears to have been recently renovated and everything was clean and well maintained. Nice landscaping, complete with gazebo. Fresh, clean room with comfortable beds. Equipped with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Being able to park in front of the room was a treat. Breakfast was very basic and was designed to "dash and dine." Carry out items (yogurt, fruit, granola bars, coffee) were available; no seating. The front office was never attended and the owners were nowhere to be seen. The room was so nice and clean that I would definitely stay here again.

The Viking Arms in was perfect for us! Family-run, pool and whirlpool were clean and available until 10pm, quiet, clean, affordable, comfy beds, close to the beach and Ludington activities...we would recommend it to anyone!

Breakfast was coffee, bananas which are fine and there was toast plus muffins. Sunny D and yogurt, too. So, in other words it was ok.
