Cute little motel in Ludington. Older, but very clean and comfortable. Check in was super easy and front desk lady was very friendly. Definitely will stay again!

This motel is a step back in time. Very clean very quiet. There was coffee in the room. Other than that no amenities. However we got clean towels every day. I would stay there again honestly because it reminded me of all the motels my family stayed in during summer vacations back in the 1960s. If you book here, just remember, there’s no pool and basically no TV. It does have Wi-Fi, which is free. When I say no TV, I mean no channels that you recognize.

It was a reasonably priced place to stay in a very high priced location. Although there is typical motel vibes, it was clean, the staff was nice and the property was well maintained. The only downfall was a ridiculously loud ac unit. We couldn’t run it at night because it would disrupt our sleep even with ear plugs. Also, we left before the office was open, the return key drop has no lock on it so anyone could walk up and grab your keys and make themselves at home. There was about 4 other rooms keys in there when I added ours.

The rooms need to be updated. The Hvac system fan was either all on or all off with the only control being temp. It was noisy! There was too much furniture for the size of the room, and there was a medium sized refrigerator, but no microwave in the room. The only microwave is a very small one in room with the ice machine. The bathroom is very small. The TV channel listing doesn't match what is actually on thr channels. The only "breakfast" for everyone are prewrapped small muffins and cups of yogurt..

We did a last minute short trip to Ludington before starting school but didn’t want to camp since it was supposed to rain. We normally stay at another property off season but it was overpriced for what we wanted to spend this time so opted for a more inexpensive option this time. This was our first time at Vista Villa and we were fine with the accommodations. It is outdated and could use an update, tear out the carpet, and it was a little musty smelling, as other reviews stated but overall for the price it was a good stay.
Service was nice and had daily maid service if you wanted it. Motel is fairly quiet, unless you have a loud Harley parked outside your room!
One complaint we have is there could have been more pillows that were fluffier. If the air was kept on consistently, I think that would help with the musty smell. Also because this hotel is only open during summer season, being closed up for 5/6 months, they need to find someway to keep the mustiness down. There was visible mildew on the bed frame and stand with the refrigerator but it was dry.
I do wish the TV’s were updated, channel surfing was hard because there was a delay for every station it landed on which was annoying but did appreciate having cable.
The window coverings are not blackout which would be a good upgrade to consider too.
We would definitely stay here again and would recommend you try this family owned motel.

Reasonable price. Available for a last minute summer getaway. Older motel, very clean, but a bit "dated" and musty. Fresh towels offered each day. Service with a smile! Would recommend bringing your own shampoo/conditioner as the brand offered was low quality (i.e. watered down). Also, if you don't like weak coffee, plan to bring your own. (Coffee maker available in room).

I was informed a bit after 6pm that I had two hotel rooms for the same night, and I tried to cancel this one. It was a no-go, and I had to eat the cost of this hotel room. I am very wary of using Hotels.com in the future.

Check in and everything else went smooth. First night went fine, they even came in and made beds while we were away for a bit. Second night not so great. While we were winding down, laying down, a cockroach was crawling across the wall. We captured it and kept it in a cup to take to the office but office was closed. We kept the cup in the room while we proceeded to sleep in our car. Talked to office in the morning and she said because we booked through hotels.com we might not get the partial refund we wanted. After all we didn’t use the room the second night.

Property is clean easy access, easy parking, and very reasonably priced. Not fancy at all but a good safe but if you just need a place to sleep, they supply coffee in the room , hair dryer and refrigerator. The place is in good shape for the age pleasantly surprised I stay here again.

The hotel is a bit dated when you first enter your room, but after looking around and spending three nights there, I found the motel to be very clean and well maintained. Appears to be a family business, and you can tell they take pride in the facility.

room had a musty/ damp odor, bed was the most uncomfortable i have ever slept in, wall a/c unit was dirty, noisy and inefficient, cleaning staff came in to clean the room even when asked not to the first day and before we checked out the last day. this room was so awful that even though we paid for this room, we elected to get another room in town to sleep in.
