Definitely a no frills property for people looking for a place to crash after a long night out in Bairro Alto. No response when asked to drop bags early (via text). No one arrives at the property until checkin time at 4pm. The AC didn't work in the room and when asked about looking into fixing it they made an attempt, but when that didnt work the response was like "well, what can you do? Works great in the winter." Wouldn't stay here again.

I travelled continually for 7 years and stayed in many hostels, and this one was by far the worst for comfort. It’s impossible to sleep at night due to the noise. I had expected a certain level of noise and being able to hear music due to the hostels location, however the music is so loud the bass vibrates the room until 4am, then the sound of bottles being emptied into large bins continues until 7am. Unless you’re on a trip solely to drink and stay out late (perhaps a stag do) this hostel wouldn’t work. Further to this the air con didn’t work in the rooms at all, it turned itself off after around 5 seconds of being on despite all settings being changed, upon complaining about this we were advised this was in all rooms and they were very good at heating- not useful. My bedsheets were also stained. There also isn’t a communal area other than the kitchen to meet people, which is often offered in other hostels. Positives are that the hostel other than the bedsheets was very clean- including the bathroom, and it’s in a very central location. Overall I think the description of the hostel needs updating to reflect the levels of noise, and that there’s no air con so people can be better placed to choose whether they’d want to stay there.

Hox!! We were charged for late check-in, which is fine If it was informed more than a couple of hours before our check-in. The hostel is in great location on a clubbing street. The hostel is a bit noisy but we slept still well. There was a French balcony in our room, which was lovely. The check-in person was nice. Tourist tax was paid by cash, which does not necessarily bring reliabiliness.

Very well situated and not very expensive. It's a very good place to visit Lisbon. The beds are ok. Nevertheless, you can hear the noise of the street and the street can be very noisy... Just one toilet for 4 rooms at the last floor. Lock the main door correctly otherwise someone drunk can came in and try to open the doors of the different rooms... You will not sleep well once again :)

You get what you pay for! Rooms are small.and basic. If you're looking for a place in the heart of the nightlife then you've picked the right spot. The staff are very friendly and there is a cleaning person daily to clean up the mess of people staying there. However, sharing amenities like a kitchen and bathroom with others can lead to messy places. The bathroom was full of hair (not the fault of the accomodations as they cleaned it the next day) and the kitchen was filled with crums from guests. Also, you're right in the heart of Bario Alto and the party goes until 4 am!!

Very good location for restaurants and bars and quite near the tube station. The room was clean , the only problems were the bathrooms, no hook for the shower, you had to hold it and the other shower room flooded so you couldn't dry yourself properly with nowhere to put your clothes whilst you showered. But all in all ok for what we paid.

Me with me friends( 3 ppl) went on a vocation and so we wanted to party a lot, and this places was best for it, the location is great, many many bars close to it, and even beside that restaurants and grocery stores, so it is a good place to chill with friends, staff was sweet and cute and helpful so thanks to them

Yes its noisy as other reviews say. I brought ear plugs and I thought it will protect me but... no lol its really noisy until 2-3am, I woke up several times because of noise. But location, room condition, cleanness, every other things were good except noise. I never waited for using wash room or shower even its shared. You have your own room with a/c and TV. Staffs were really nice.

The staff were extremely helpful in printing out bus tour tickets etc. to help my trip be as good as it was. The rooms are very clean, if you're on the street side do bring ear plugs as they like to party until the early morning hours!Great location, cheap and clean, what more can you ask for?Michael

Liked the fact it was a traditional converted property with most of the original structures still there, but I wasn't happy about the busy street without a kerb, all activities are very loud. The bar next door had people coming out all night until 4 am, talking loudly, drinking and smoking under the windows, without any respect for those sleeping. It is in an area where people go out clubbing all night long, restaurants open late and loud music booming into your ears.

Excellent rooms, central location, there's a large staircase if you're carrying a big bag, but the hosts are helpful with that too.
