We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday night. The bar was rammed, and noisy, and we had reservations about whether to stay or not. But then the manager took us up to our room, and there was no way we were going anywhere! We had booked the suite, which has a lounge area plus bedroom area, a bathroom with a bath and a walk in shower, and even a dressing room. It was beautiful - so welcoming - we genuinely couldn't fault it. The bed was comfortable too. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning, so when I enquired about what to do with the key as we would be leaving before breakfast, the manager rustled up a continental breakfast for us, which he brought up to our room just a few minutes later. Granola, fresh fruit, croissant and jam. It was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We had dinner in the restaurant too - which was much quieter than the bar area - and the food was great. If we were in the area again we would hesitate to stay here.

Fantastic stay at this wonderful pub/restaurant with rooms. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our room and had everything explained. They managed to get us into the restaurant for our evening meal, even though they were very busy and full. Room was outstanding, very spacious and comfortable and extremely clean. The evening meal was also spot on, we ordered different meals but tried each others and I was completely impressed with both. Both of us were full after the main course, but because it had been so enjoyable, I couldn't not have a dessert, we decided to share, and that was my only mistake, once the Sticky toffee pudding arrived I wanted it all to myself. The staff were brilliant, very friendly and even during the busy evening they still attended to every whim and need. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely room in a friendly pub/hotel - was as good if not better than more expensive hotels stayed at. Very nice location in the countryside. Good breakfast! Would definitely recommend

Really friendly and welcoming staff, rooms are great. didn't actually eat in the restaurant but we did find the breakfast was slow and below the standard, we would have expected for the price point.

Very friendly welcome. The room was very clean. Nice food in the pub. Pillows could have been better but to be fair they had a sign in the room saying others available- we just didn’t notice. Little bit of noise from the pub while it was open but very quiet once closed.

The property is spotlessly clean, superb standard. Food was excellent, we had the Sunday lunch and breakfast. Staff could not be nicer truly all round amazing experience.

Overnight stay with dinner to celebrate partners birthday. Excellent, friendly service, great food and good drinks selection (decent yet affordable wine list, cocktails and gins), clean and comfortable room (though partner found the mattress a bit too firm) and a great breakfast. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent hotel and helpful staff. Clean and well presented. Some problems with breakfast service due to short staffing. Main concern was that no staff wore masks and hotel guests not wearing masks in shared spaces. Difficult to enforce as hotel reception is at the bar and within dining area. Plenty of sanitiser available however.
