The room was clean and minimalist, but had everything I needed! The bed was comfortable, and since I was mainly in the room to sleep, I was grateful for that. The towels were not the most luxurious, but they did the job. Good coffee from the lobby and I was pleasantly surprised by the hot breakfast! I was in the area for a conference and needed to print something at the last minute, so I was very happy the hotel had a computer/printer in the lobby where I could do that. The hotel was also very convenient to the highway. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Due to the noise issue of my last stay, I asked to be away from the elevator and on a less crowded floor. While it was much quieter, the room I was in wasn't as clean as last time. Still, for the price and lack of carpet (easier to check for bugs) you can't beat it.

Need soundproofing in the walls. Very very noisy hallways and rooms. You can almost hear people’s conversations and they weren’t yelling. Lots of drywall repair needed in our room and the floor and shower area were filthy. Too new of a place to need that much work

It was ok for the price and location. Easy to find, friendly staff, easy check-in, ample amounts of parking, many food options within 15 minutes and comfortable beds. I didn't make it to breakfast so I'm unsure of the quality food. I will say, people were loud between 11pm-1am; lots of people in the hallway and I could hear the people next door to me.

I absolutely love the vibes in this hotel. It truly gives the vacation and relaxing feeling you’re looking for. The bathroom is my favorite. I loveeeeee the mirror and the shower. The check out time is also a huge bonus!

I used to clean hotel rooms so I'm incredibly picky, OCD actually. Definitely one of the cleanest places I've stayed. I won't nit pick about the negatives of the cleaning done on our room because of my OCD and it wasn't anything major, just things my crazy brain notices! Only worth while mentioning negatives were- the design of the handicap shower, why put the shower head facing the shower curtain so water gets outside of the shower easier? Second, the shower wall had a big crack in it and the bathroom exhaust fan is almost non existent. Steam built up horribly. I barely heard the traffic but the neighboring rooms were noisy. I could hear stomping all night and morning. The fridge was junk, my cooler was keeping things colder. And my biggest issue, why is there no signage on Hoover Rd?! Drove right past because both hotels have absolutely no signage ANYWHERE on that side of the buildings or by entrances!! Also, this isnt Avid's problem but more so Hotels.com, there is a security deposit they hold on your card that is not mentioned ANYWHERE on the site or receipts. Positives- I liked the flooring in the rooms. No carpet, so better for allergies, cleaning, and bugs. I also liked having all the hooks on the walls! Beds were comfy with big fluffy pillows and I appreciated the white bedding because its easier to check for bed bugs or hair(just needed another lighter blanket other than the comforter). Staff were awesome, everyone was super nice! I'd stay again for sure!

I really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were very clean and super comfortable. It was very convenient to get around the Detroit metro area from this location. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a very easy check in, and the young lady on the desk was very nice. The hotel and room were absolutely on point. It was very clean and quiet, plenty of car parking and easily accessible. My only issue, and don’t let it put you off as this is my personal opinion, the breakfast area was a little untidy. I felt that the area could have been kept cleaner but it’s not complaint it’s an observation and it wouldn’t put me off staying there again. Overall it was a cracking hotel, and we enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great with the hotel. I would be careful booking on Expedia for this hotel, I selected two queen beds and when I arrived it was a single king bed. The problem was resolved the next day so no issue moving forward from that point.

We just stayed one night. The hotel was convenient just off the highway. Price was good, they offered a free breakfast , but we went out for breakfast. It was clean, rooms were a bit small. The shampoo and soap containers in the bathroom shower were empty and that was the only real disappointment.

I had to choose a star and unfortunately it had to be the terrible one. We were not able to stay at the property due to them not responding nor answering their direct phone number! Their 1 800number did answer however were not able to help since we did a third party reservation, expedia, and they were the ones who hat to fix the issue, which also tried calling and were not able to contact the property as well. I Lost my $$ and my reservation

The inside of the hotel is nice, but it was not in the best part of the city. The upscale area is on the other end. Because there is a fairly large homeless population, the garage smells like urine. Because of construction, I couldn't even get into the garage one afternoon, as trucked blocked the entrance. That was hard to take with the additional $45 a day parking fee. Across the street looked like a nice park to walk, but is actually a very large homeless camp. A walk around the block made me feel unsafe. Breakfast was the same thing every day, not very tasty and only overripe bananas for fruit. Pretty disappointed for the large price I paid for 4 nights.
