This is the best boutique hotel in Papeete. Location is central to everything, especially the ferry which is right across the street. There was an awesome Polynesian reggae band that performed at the rooftop bar, the vibe was electric.
5.0
It was a very easy check-in, location is right across the street from the ferry terminal which was not noisy. The room was very clean, organized and had all the amenities of home. Looking forward to a 2nd visit soon.
3.0
The room was very spacious, the bed was great and the shower excellent. The balcony however was very tiny, impossible to really sit out there.
Unfortunately, we were given a room overlooking a construction site but this was due to my concerns about noise on a lower floor. What was still a problem was the late night noise from the rooftop bar which indicated that the hotel is catering more to local entertainment than client comfort. Also, there was language confusion from reception staff with taxis organised for 12.30 pm when we had asked for 12.30 am. Overall the room and staff were great but the noise is something to consider.

Only dissatisfied with time to access room - told it would be ready between 12-1 but didn’t get in until after 3:30pm

Good stay except a did not work well, and the hotel needs an additional elevator.

This hotel is in downtown Papeete and only ten minutes away from the airport. The clean room was beautiful and furnished with a kitchen. The breakfast- the most wonderful spread of delicious items (I’m still thinking about it). We only had one day to explore and asked the hotel staff for recommendations. They went above and beyond, recommending a scooter rental company, circling beautiful spots to see and restaurants on the map. We had a great time on the island thanks to this property!
5.0
Beautiful hotel located right by the ferry terminal. The concierge was incredibly helpful, and the service was outstanding. I wish i had stayed more nights!
5.0
Excellent very welcoming staff. Our room was ready so we were able to check in an hour early. We stayed in a Super-cute beach bungalow that was well decorated and comfortable inside and had a nice seating area outside facing the beach with lounge chairs.

This hotel is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed. The room was not ready at 3:00 pm. You hear the club music whole night… it’s almost 5:00 am and the music still going on. .. So unpleasant. We will never stay here again for sure! No value for money!!

Great Location and Staff.

What makes this property great is the fact that it is steps away from your cruise. But that’s its biggest problem: it’s very close to bars and the crazy night scene. The street noise was very loud, could hardly sleep. On the upside, their food is really great.
6.0
Nightclub Nextdoor and on roof are noisy at night.
8.0
Good location across from the ferry dock and short walk to the cruise ship dock. Comfortable bed. Good air conditioning in the room. Lobby didn’t seem to have A/C. Wish there was a pool. Would stay there again.

Perfect location for access to the port. Can walk across the street to catch the ferry or cruise. Accommodations were good. Slightly disappointed with the pricy breakfast buffet.

Perfect transit hotel if hopping on a boat the next day !!

Beautiful hotel. Wish they had a pool. Nice people working at the front desk and nice lunch restaurant inside the hotel while we waited for checkin time.

Lovely little hotel close to the port but watch for noise from nearby disco
4.0
It’s centrally located (right across the ferry terminal) so getting around town is easy. Although there is only one lift/elevator, the hotel’s staff always prioritised getting guests in and out first even while they had cleaning duties. The cafe next door is also very convenient for meals before 6 pm.

Hotel looks very nice and modern but our room smelled like the sewer! Which was extremely unpleasant! No outlet in the bathroom to use a straightener or anything like that.
Close to the airport and the Ferry is right across the street

Booked this hotel bc we needed a place to stay before boarding for a cruise. Flight landed at 5am and boarding was at 3pm.
I read many reviews and at first I was a little hesitant on location. But for the price compared to the others around the area, it was a great deal.
I was very happy to learn the location is so close to downtown, the markets, and to the cruise port. All within walking distance.
The place was clean, the staff was so nice and helpful. The room was clean and of a great size. Any questions asked, the front desk was there to help and provided so much Information. They gave us access to the 1st floor after check out so we had a place to relax before 3pm came along.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a day stay.

Located very close to the ferry terminal. Easy walk to shopping district, pearl market, open market and restaurants. Cute coffe shop on first floor and local artisan vendors onsite.

Had a great stay but the room was supposed to be a double queen and it only had 1 bed. Also the couch was a fold out bed but it couldn't be pulled out do to the size of the room. We ended up one of us on the couch but overall a nice place where'd we stay again after confirming that the room has the right number of beds.

Make sure to check out the rooftop bar

We spent one night here before our flight home. It was perfect, great room with a city/water view. The bed slept great, room spacious. I wish we had an extra night. They stored our luggage and provide a huge lounge with coffee, microwave, fresh water shower and bathroom's, free
Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Kon Tiki is a modern hotel, overall very clean and comfortable. However, we had some hiccups that diminished considerably our view of its quality.
1. Staff is underprepared, should be better trained. I checked in and it was not provided with the wifi password nor information on breakfast, having to inquire later about those. The parking information was confusing, and the front desk forgot to give the remote control to enter the parking lot - so we could not open the gate until I went back to the front desk and asked how do we open the gate. It was not explained previously that a remote control was necessary - nor provided.
2. The bathroom sink looks nice and modern, however the slanted design is flawed and water splashes out, flooding the floor.
3. The rooftop bar is owned by the property, however if you are staying there because of it (our case), as a guest, you have no advantage whatsoever. The rooftop is quite popular among city residents, and usually packed for sunset. We tried 3 times to enjoy the sunset there, without success. Usually, hotels will set aside a few tables on rooftops for guests of the hotel, since it is part of the hotel amenities - I've visited some hotels around the world in which the rooftops are even exclusive to hotel guests. So, as a guest, the fact that you have no advantage in enjoying the rooftop reduces the appeal of the property.
4. Parking area is not the best, particularly if you have luggage.

Great stay whilst staying in Papeete, room we stayed in was quite spacious with all the kitchen amenities with a dining area. Newly built hotel with everything that you require.

Cute hotel in a great location! I loved being able to walk to the market, around town, and to the cruise ship I was sailing on. Had a very nice breakfast (included with rate I paid). The nightclub on the top of the building was noisy, but it wasn’t horrible! Great front desk clerks too!
4.0
Lovely place right across from the ferry port. The hotel had an excellent patio bar on the roof. The music did keep me up until the wee hours however the crowd there sure seemed to have a lot of fun. A great place to stay at a reasonable price. Not far walking distance to the market and harboir.

1.Near dock, easy to Moorea
2.Friendly staff
3.clean, free coffee

The property itself is really nice, very new, modern and clean. Rooms are a good high spec with comfy beds.
The hotel is next to a nightclub which on a Friday and Saturday night is noisy- you can hear the music. It’s not mega loud but it’s loud enough to disturb you unless you are a deep sleeper.
10.0
Staff was great and very attentive. Also across the street from the ferry.
10.0
The hotel was stylish and the staff went above and beyond. It’s a unique experience in an already unique destination.

Great location. Well kept property and nice staff. Perfect for short stays with families. Great value.

Clean & spacious room, convenient location, the bar & restaurant at the roof top is a bonus, with super nice view to the Papeete harbour & Moorea Island!

Clean and spacious rooms. Convenient location walkable to most attractions in city centre and ferry. Friendly and helpful staff. Have to take taxi or drive to the nearest beach through. Overall enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend..

This is a really cool Boutique Hotel. The Roof Top Bar... The Reef, gets rocking. We just had drinks and fries. No salt, no ketchup. The drink was ok. Had to chase the gal down to pay, but she was cranking.
The room was nice. Weird that you have to insert your room key to
have electricity, so that you can't leave any lights tv or AC on when you leave, so room always had to recoil.
Perfect location easy to unload... Very difficult to find their parking lot at night, the gal was NOT good with instructions, but we found it.
The worst was e bar next door that kept the bass and the noise coming ALL Night Long well, till 4:30 am.
Good place but I probably wouldn't go back, but it's awesome right across the street from the ferry we were talking to moorea

The room smelled like sewage, for real. I spoke with the front desk and they offered to move us from a single with a balcony to a hostel room with a bunk bed, no windows, and a communal bathroom. This was just insulting. Do not recommend.
The only saving grace was the concierge was very helpful in the morning and is reporting the incident to the management. We will see if they do anything to apologize for a horrific smelling room.
