Completely remodeled Calafia Motel rooms are excellent.

Conveniently located on PCH Calafia Motel's newly remodeled rooms are small but elegantly appointed and quiet. The Calafia State Beach, San Clemente Golf Course, and the hip Del Mar Street shopping/restaurant district are all within a one mile walking radius. The staff is helpful and the rooms are affordable.

The parking is a bit cramped, but the newly remodeled rooms make up for it.

Modest motel, good for a short stay.

Good location, very clean room. I only stayed overnight for a wedding, so all I needed was a modest room.

Rooms were really clean and nice, owners were super nice and helpful!

The owners were great and always available to help a get something needed!

I have a big truck and parking was tight but for people with normal cars it's not a concern

This place is a diamond in the beach!

The rooms were super cute, had a wonderful beach town feel. The rooms were also very clean and well kept, had everything I needed. Additionally, the front desk staff were friendly, very welcoming and offered helpful suggestions for getting around.

We were grateful that you allowed our precious dog. that was the reason we picked you.

No breakfast. Couple was friendly, kind courteous, and generous.

I wish there had been a Bible in the room. Owners may or may not care about Bible, but it is still a US tradition.

Calafia is amazing hotel. 100% my go to place when I go to San Clemente.

Location is so practical close to everything I love how my car was park right outside my room so that was very convienient.

perfect dive inn to rest your head

property was easy to get to and was inviting

walls were thin, could over hear other guests in next room if they were talking loudly - for my husband and me it was not an issue that negatively affected our stay as we both come from big, loud families, however it is something to note

Great little beach hotel located a short distance to downtown San Clemente.

Very friendly staff made us feel welcomed to the property. The recent renovations really transformed this older property into a cozy hotel with comfortable beds.

Calafia Inn, a nice little quaint place to rest your head for a good nights sleep.

Perfect little place for a my stay. Calafia provided a comfortable, clean, enjoyable stay which is all I needed for a visit in San Clemente. I was very pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again, if I didn’t need a place with a pool and all those extras. Thank you for a good restful stay.

For my purpose this place was perfect. For a family looking for pools and frills, maybe not so much.

Surprisingly

We loved the room and the whole facilit. Facility goes above and beyond my expectations. They provided more amenities than more expensive Hotels.

Too kuch hiway noise. And beds were too small. Don't feel like a queen. I enjoyed the shared kitchenette being separated from room but the hot plate didn't work.

The owners of this hotel are wonderful. They were friendly, accomodating, hard working to keep everything clean and in order. The stay was very enjoyable. The room and location were a great value.

Clean hotel w/ a relatively reasonable price.

The place was spotless and everything in there worked. Including, tv, lighting, toilet, bathroom sink and shower. Air conditioning excellent. No problems whatsoever. Friendly owners / staff.

Could have had some sort of basic chair in the immediate bedroom area. Had a portable seat in the shower, I guess for elderly and disabled. I pulled that out and sat it when I needed to. I know the places that work in progress but that's pretty basic. Go down to Sam's Club and get some $8 plastic lawn chairs and put them in each room. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever! Wish the prices were lower all over San Clemente. But, welcome to Joe Bidinflation's economy and Gavin De Blasio's Golden State! Where all the gold goes to the professional politicians. 😄
