Stay and experience all the charm and nostalgia of 1925, but with modern amenities in this cozy 1,100 sq ft, recently updated and restored historic home.
Whether it's a quick weekend getaway, or an extended work stay, this home provides all you need to make your stay most enjoyable. The primary bedroom has a king bed, two closets -one with drawer space, a lighted mirror on the vanity, and built-in chargers in the lamps. The second bedroom has a queen bed, closet with drawer space, a cozy desk with a lighted makeup mirror, and built in charging plugs on the lamps. The third bedroom has a twin over queen bunkbed with lights over each bed, outlets and charging plugs next to the bedsides, a dresser and fun wall hooks for hanging clothes. All bedrooms have smart tvs with access to YouTube tv , charging ports for your electronics, and white noise machines with blue tooth capability to help you unwind.
In the living room there is a smart tv with YouTube tv, a DVD player with a few “classics” and multiple board games.
The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances and most commonly used cookware, serve ware and dinnerware for 6. A popcorn maker for those late night movies, and a waffle maker for those early morning breakfasts will make you feel right at home. A Keurig Duo Plus, Nespresso Pixie and French Press will have your coffee and espresso needs covered. We offer three k cup varieties of local Texas flavors, plus a My K-cup reusable filter, both decaf and regular Nespresso espresso pods, and Fresh Roasted Breakfast Blend coffee to get your day started. Plain cream, French Vanilla cream, sugar, Sugar in the Raw, Sweet n Low, Stevia, and honey sweeteners are also provided.
Enjoy that morning coffee relaxing on the deck, or lounging in the hammock in the tree covered backyard. You can also grill lunch or dinner on the Weber gas grill while playing cornhole or giant Jenga with family and friends. The Hideaway Grill and Bar is located directly behind us. If you decide cooking dinner is not conducive to your relaxation, a short stroll through the parking lot and you will have food, drinks and a few playscapes for the kiddos to enjoy. The Hideaway often provides live music or a dj that can be heard on our deck, so there is no need for a Bluetooth speaker to convert the deck to a private dance floor!
Downtown and all it has to offer is just two walkable blocks away. Historic Gruene and Gruene Hall are a quick 10 minute drive. You will also be approximately one hour to Austin and 30 minutes to San Antonio via the easy access to I-35.

I’ve stayed in a lot of vrbo houses and this one was one of the best! The host has thought of EVERYTHING you might need for a good stay. We loved the house and it was in a wonderful spot. We walked to breakfast and the farmers market. The hideaway was behind the house which was neat to walk out to that and to hear the music, but some nights it was rather loud. She did provide sound machines and ear plugs that we used! The candle store across the road was also a wonderful spot, the kids made their own candles! It was a lovely stay, thank you!

Everything about this house was perfect. My family and I took a road trip to New Braunfels for my birthday and stayed at this property. Communication with property manager was quick and friendly and my family could not stop commenting on how perfect everything was. The property has plenty of parking space and an excellent outdoor setup with bbq grill and seating area. The home furnishings and amenities made us all feel right at home. I would definitely come back and recommend without reservations.

We pretty much walked everywhere except the Float-In and even that was just a $10 uber ride. The decor is also SO freaking cute!! The backyard is cool too and you can hear the music from the bar/restaurant right behind it BUT somehow you can’t hear the music inside which was nice too. Melissa was easy to get ahold of and really nice. There are also some cool board games (like a vintage Backstreet Bots trivia game lol). We come to NB every last weekend in July and liked the house so much we asked to book for next year before we left. Highly recommend!

This house could not be any cuter! It had the perfect setup and they literally thought of everything! We really enjoyed the backyard area and playing the games. The location could not have been any better! We opened the back gate and had our own little dance party jamming to the live music at the bar/restaurant across the street. Would love to stay here again!

This house is perfectly decorated. Every detail is so thought out. We we’re provided with coffee, Nespresso, snacks. She even knew we were teachers and left us a apple streusel from the local bakery. The house has a great back patio with plenty of shade and games.

We were in New Braunfels for a family wedding and stayed in this beautifully renovated cottage. The furnishings are even more stylish than the photos can portray, the mattresses and pillows and linens were wonderfully comfortable, and the deck was delightful. And Melissa has thought of everything! There is a wireless speaker in the living room as well as one in the kitchen--both matching the decor. There are 3 ways to get your caffeine going in the morning--and a milk frother provided as well! Accessible charging plugs, more towels than we needed, fresh microwave popcorn bags and snacks, dishes appropriate for young children--the attention to detail for making our stay comfortable went above and beyond what I have ever experienced in any rental I have ever stayed in. Most impressive, though, was that the home is IMMACULATE. I have stayed in many rentals over the years, and I have NEVER stayed in one that was so clean. Not only were there no crumbs in the kitchen drawers or cabinets anywhere to be found, the utensils were beautifully arranged. The kitchenware looked brand new. The bathroom was spotless. All of this on top of a great location with an easy walk to Krause's, the town square, and an awesome local bakery. The icing on the cake was Melissa's message on the day of our departure wishing us safe travels and instructing us to simply head out. We did not have to worry with starting the cleaning process! THIS IS A DREAM RENTAL!

Our stay was wonderful and exceeded any of our expectations! We were really impressed by all of the thoughtful touches throughout the house. We loved using the Nespresso and Keurig! We ❤️ coffee! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything, including a KitchenAid mixer. We used the grill to make s’mores! The decor was beautiful. The house was extremely clean and welcoming. The beds were perfectly comfortable and we slept well. We enjoyed the live music from the venue behind the house. Lots of close restaurants and fresh beers on tap. Recommend Bootleggers Pizza in walking distance. Yummy pizza and a place for kids to play out back and lots of local beers on tap. Also located close to the river and tubing. We really enjoyed Landa park with our kids! Highly recommend and we will stay again! Thank you Melissa!

We enjoyed our time at this property. I was immediately wow’d by the decor and thoughtful touches, including a snack bowl, plenty of tea and coffee supplies and board games.
The kitchen was well setup, we appreciated more than enough crockery so we weren’t having to wash dishes after every meal.
Beds were very comfortable.
Sitting in the garden playing giant jenga was bliss.
The location was handy, only word of caution for the light sleepers is that the property has a popular outdoor bar directly behind, and a train line. Ear plugs were kindly provided if it bothers you!

My team and I spent the weekend here hashing out goals for the 2024 year and found this cute house that was quiet, charming and had tons of restarurants, wine bar, beer garden, antique shops and more all within walking distance. The house is absolutely beautiful, very clean and just enjoyable all the way around. Walking distance to several restaurants. They all told me how much they loved staying there.

This house is incredible. No detail was spared in the remodel of this precious home. It was cozy and inviting with new appliances, comfortable beds, and a well stocked kitchen. The back yard is a fun place to relax and catch up. It is very close to all of the restaurants in town and tubing spots. The owners even left a cake to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We will definitely come back.

We use short term rentals quite a bit and this one was one the best ones that we have seen! The house was very well decorated and extremely clean. Melissa, the host, was very responsive and no detail was overlooked in the rental. The backyard was perfect for an outdoor meal, complete with live music from the bar behind it (note: we couldn't hear the music from inside the house so it didn't disturb us inside at all). We would definitely stay here again when back in the area!

We had an excellent weekend in New Braunfels, and the house and it's owner were both 5 stars. The house was clean, in a perfect location, and had a great modern cottage vibe. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, including Wurstfest. Melissa was very gracious, communicative, and made everything a breeze. Our only difficulty was with the noise from the bar next door on Saturday night, but it was manageable. We will definitely be back.
