My room did not have a bathroom, but the available one just down the hall was very clean and I think I was the only one using it. Day or night it was clean, close and always available. The staff were excellent, so friendly and attentive. Because the hotel is quite old and historically registered, there were few modern conveniences in the rooms, but not missed to be sure! I watched my "TV" on my phone and they do have excellent wifi availability.

A beautifully restored historic property in a very sweet little town. Abundant hiking and natural beauty. The restaurant at the hotel is way better than it has to be — the chef knows how to cook. We will definitely be back!

Very clean. Owner friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to get me a glass of ice water when I arrived hot and tired. We loved this gem of a hotel and will be back. The ride is beautiful leading to the hotel. The view is spectacular.

This os a wonderful place to stay in all respects! And the shared bathrooms are no problem at all: my husband and I each had one to ourselves, they lock so you have privacy alone, and they are modern, sparkling clean and huge! This inn is fantastic!

The Bush House is amazing! It's an OLD building, so it's a little quirky, but they've maintained it extremely well. It's very clean, and the people are all so nice. Our room's hardwood floors had some slivers popping up, but other than that, the place appears to be in pristine condition! Definitely will stay there again, if we have the occasion to be stopping in the area.

I stayed in the cottage, right behind Bush House. Charming, private and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious food and had a barista available for coffee anytime!

We stayed in the cottage for a night and were greeted with warm staff and beautiful, rustic accommodations. The restaurant is fantastic and there is natural beauty all around. Great place for a weekend trip or extended stay in the mountains.

Last minute we decided to stay in the beautiful town of index after a hike. Booked the inn, I’ve stayed at the cottages next door before. It’s a beautiful, historical building. Bathrooms were updated, friendly staff, easiest check in and out. Would definitely stay again.

What a great place to stay. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Don’t be put off by the “shared bathrooms”. There are lots of them and they are very clean and convenient. This 120 year old historic inn was more convenient and less expensive than an air b&b. There aren’t many nice places to stay out this way and we will definitely be back for our next ski trip (30 mins from Stevens Pass).

Interesting historic building, nicely renovated and appointed. Common spaces very nice. Check in apparently at 4 PM, though my docs from hotels.com says 3 PM. Need clear that important detail up. Too bad they didn’t soundproof at renovation. The rooms are really very noisy. I could hear the next room word for word.

This is a wonderful place and absolutely worth the trip. You’ll feel like you stepped back in time but with all the modern conveniences. The people are amazing, the food was outstanding, and the natural beauty of the area is breathtaking. Can’t wait to return!

Bush House Inn is a lovely historic inn which has been nicely updated. The setting is beautiful. There are two features that a prospective guest should know. 1) not all rooms have a private bath. 2) there are trains that run regularly through the town of Index which make some noise. Whistle blows are far less frequent at night. For some the sound of trains may be very nostalgic.

We stayed in a room with a bathroom. Updated bathroom was great in a Heritage Hotel. So fun to read about the history of the Inn. Very close to Wallace Falls State Park where we hiked the morning we checked out.

What a beautiful Inn with an amazing restaurant! Apparently, it has been recently updated: our room & bath were beautifully new and clean, while the group rooms retained their historic charm. The food was fresh, healthy, and extremely tasty menu. I will book early if I'm back in town.

Great property close to Stevens pass. The only thing that really impacted the trip was the air conditioner did not work and we absolutely roasted. It was pretty miserable and we didn’t get much sleep. With a shooting competition the next day, this was unfortunate.

So glad there is such a great option for an overnight in Index. Great location for 2 day skiing at Stevens Pass. Place is is spotlessly clean with very welcoming hosts who have lovingly restored this beautiful and historic place. A great stay.
