ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

The hosts welcomed us in like family, our beautiful cottage was set up just as we expected. It was absolutely Devine! We will be back and have made it a tradition Atleast once a year to be there. Thank you Monkey Thorn.

Lovely apartment and welcoming hosts!

Awesome stay.!Everything you could need and more. Attention to detail was amazing. Monica went above and beyond to assist us when our hired car broke down.

Little wonder on it's own

The place is a little wonder on it's own. I liked everything about the place. Everything was so perfect. We had the privilege to meet the owners of the place and they shared the history of the place with us. I will definitely visit the place again.🙌👏

We will stay here again

Lovely cottage, tastefully decorated and has everything you need. We felt safe inside the secure estate and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is well equipped, but The Fairway Clubhouse is literally around the corner if you don’t feel like cooking… you can walk there from the cottage…. the food there was fantastic and very reasonably priced.

Although the owners said we are not bothering them, we felt bad contacting them whenever we had to exit and enter the estate because you are issued with a pin code to enter and exit and it can only be used once. Not really a negative thing as it adds to the security of the estate, but it would be nice to receive a code that will last your entire stay so you don’t have to contact the owners every time you need to go out or in. It won’t stop us from staying there again though… we will definitely be back.

Very Decent

I loved the privacy, the space of the cabin its perfect for couples. The bathroom was perfect despite that we would hear funny sounds on the roof during the night and would struggle to sleep after that, think it was probably birds or something. There's alot of creepy crawlies, geekos, bugs, impala, raccoons, but nothing really to worry about if you don't mind nature I love that there was pots stove and all the cutlery needed. There's a fuel station, kwikspar and tops very close by so you don't really have to drive out to shops

- There's no braai stand just a braai area, so wasn't sure if it's a fire place or what - Pool is just big enough to just cool down not really swim - Microwave, plates and cutlery weren't not 100% clean

Ein Kleinod unter den Lodges!

Das Haus liegt in einem wunderschönen Garten, ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit Kamin und einem paradiesischem Pool. Auf Wunsch wird täglich das Geschirr gespült und der Kamin gefegt. Der nahegelegene Golfplatz hatte leider keine Schläger im Verleih, ein dickes Dankeschön an unseren Vermieter für die geliehene Ausrüstung! Es gibt Solarenergie, d.h. kein load shedding und immer Internet!

Das Haus ist perfekt, für uns war es nur gewöhnungsbedürftig, täglich mit den engstirnigen Securitybedingungen zu leben. D.h. täglich bekommt man einen neuen Sicherheitscode für die Schranke von der Vermieterin, (der bei uns nur einmal funktioniert hat). Dann wurde Monica angerufen, trotzdem mussten wir jedes Mal ihren Namen und Adresse angegeben, täglich den Führerschein vorzeigen, das Auto wurde fotografiert……..

Abslolutely Beautiful!

Loved everything about this venue! Absolutely worth it! Units are beautiful and attention to detail is just amazing! Beautiful! I would definitly book this anyday and soon again! Peaceful! Safe! All you need for a break away...sleep over or any kind of accomadation.

Beautiful property and cottage (but cold in winter)

The property was lovely, in a gated community surrounded by countryside, but still had convenient access to shops and the highway to Pretoria. The porch was a wonderful and peaceful place to relax, looking at the trees and birds. The cottage was very well made and nicely decorated and felt comfortable but also special. It had a full kitchen, which we used a lot during our 20 (!) day stay. They have solar power, so we hardly noticed loadshedding.

They had no form of heat in the cottage besides an inside braai oven in the kitchen area. We burnt a lot of fuel in the braai every night, since the temperatures went down to near 0C. I would strongly recommend that they get portable heaters or a wall heater for winter visitors! We had to ask for a new code to enter the club grounds using Whats App every time we left and enterred the property . SInce we were there for 20 days, a short term access or automatic delivery of a daily code would have been much more convenient.

Superb

Beautiful location, bush feeling, relaxed and quiet. Well equipped unit, all has been considered in the design and layout. The interior is classy. Neat garden. Monica is a great host and her staff are friendly and know how to make one feel at home taking care of all requests.

Enjoyed our stay, will definitely book this again, next time for more than one night.

The quietness, safe location, hot shower, comfy bed. Unit was clean, nicely decorated. Loved the fact that we were able to enjoy the birdlife in the morning with a cuppa. Host were very friendly, shared information, very pleasant host to deal with.

Not having WIFI - needed to do some work while on our overseas holiday, but it has been communicated to us on arrival. The host also informed us that they are working on getting this sorted. Actually enjoyed a night without wifi 😉

Where should I start, maybe it's best you try yourself. If you do you will be welcomed by a fantastic host and a safe, secure environment. Then you will be taken away with the beauty. Some Nyala for breakfast and just an amazing time. It's a must. Thank you and will be there again.

A little piece of heaven

Beautifully decorated and fully equipped, such thoughtful extras like ice in the freezer and wood for the fire. So peaceful and quiet. We spotted a bush baby, a bunny family, guinea fowl, and buck. Wifi top notch and zero loadshedding.

Everything. It was a quick sleep over and we arrived late. The hosts was very welcoming. The gardens stunning and the unit a real Gem of a place! We were the first people to sleep over in this new unit. Stunning!!
