Welcome to The Chattahoochee River House 1, situated on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. Relax in the peaceful screened porch with new furniture while overlooking the sights and sounds of the river cascading over the rocks. It is perfectly located for convenient access to everything Downtown Helen offers with the added bonus of being nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains! You may want to take a refreshing dip in the river; go next door to the Helen Festhalle for bingo and dancing; cross the street for miniature golf; head up to Main St. for a horse drawn carriage ride and shopping; take a hike on one of the many trails close by; or take a drive through the beautiful North Georgia Mountains.
This Luxurious Condo was recently updated with New Décor and Furnishings throughout that highlight the River~Mountain Motif. The Chattahoochee River House 1 is the downstairs condo and features Amazing River views throughout from the many Windows and Balconies! The Welcoming Screened Porch opens into the large main living area that includes a well-equipped Kitchen with Granite Counters, Stainless Steel appliances and more, plus plenty of seating around the table in case you decide to eat in instead of sampling the many delicious restaurants around town! There are both a standard drip coffee maker and a Keurig for your convenience. The comfortable Living Room has been updated with 2 New Sofas, New Rug, Custom made Tables from a local craftsman and is the perfect setting to Enjoy a Movie on the TV with Roku streaming. The gas fireplace is temporarily out of service while we wait for ordered parts.
The main bedroom also features a New king bed, a Roku streaming TV, a gas fireplace, and a private bath with jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and a double vanity. The second bedroom has a queen bed, a Roku streaming TV, and a private bath with jacuzzi tub/shower combo. Both bedrooms have New Bedding and for additional guests, there is a Queen sleeper sofa for two in the living room with access to the hallway half bathroom!
Some of our Favorite things to do in the area around Helen…Hike the 6 mile round trip Unicoi Park trail that starts in Helen to Unicoi Lodge and back; have lunch or dinner at LaPrade’s Marina overlooking Lake Burton; relax on the Patio with a glass of wine while listening to live music at Yonah Mountain Winery; Hike the 2 mile round trip trails at Hemlock Falls or Angel Falls for a beautiful Waterfall view; walk around the cute stores of Sautee Nacoochee village; eat a Balboa sandwich (add jalapenos) at Bigg Daddy’s in Helen or get the Fried Banana Pepper rings at Clyde’s in Cleveland! This was our first time visiting Helen but it won’t be our last. The rental was perfect for what we wanted…on the water so we could enjoy the sound of the river, within walking distance of restaurants and other attractions, and stocked with pretty much everything needed to enjoy our time there. Communication with the rental company was great as well. Our favorite spot was on the screened porch!

The reservation process and checking in/out is very easy and property management courteous and professional. The rental has lots of room and is furnished nicely. It was very clean. The mattress coverings in the master bedroom were uncomfortable with the bottom sheet sliding off the mattress. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance and it is located in a quiet area. We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch by the river.

Stay stared a little bad as air conditioning was not cooling. I called the office and they thought it was because it had just been cleaned and probably had not been own but as the night went on it really never cooed down. Luckily with all the fans in the rooms we made it through the night. The next morning I called and Hal came right over. He determined it was frozen up and called the service company. It got fixed around 2 pm. We have stayed in this condo for at least 8-10 years but the traffic in Helen is so bad now we may have to find another place. You can’t get into a restaurant anywhere, anytime. Hal the maintenance guy was wonderful. Oh the shrubbery outside the condo is in dyer need of trimming.

The condo was very clean and within walking distance to town. The property has easy access to the river which we sat by every afternoon and watched/talked to the tubers. The management company was super nice and handled some of our issues with professionalism. Would highly recommend.

This apartment is spacious and immaculate. The location is perfect being right on the river. Beds are comfortable. Perfect for doing laundry, grilling out and relaxing. If you are staying long term, there is no great place for your clothes like a drawers in either bedroom. Only the closet. Also wish we had a toaster as well. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We (two adults & toddler) thoroughly enjoyed our time together at this beautiful, spacious, peaceful creekside condo perfectly within walking distance of Helen's Alpine Village. (Saving $10 for parking everywhere). The fireplace was warm and cozy, we enjoyed lunch on the porch, and at naptime, the master bedroom was dark enough toddler-approved. We enjoyed opening the doors to the balconies for fresh mountain air into our bedrooms. 1st overnight trip with my toddler and 1st time visiting Helen, GA. The customer service team was extremely helpful when we called and prompt response time from the after hours too. We were hoping the condo would have had a recycling container. We'd highly recommend this gorgeous condo! We loved it!

We love this condo but the king bed is in horrible shape and needs to be replaced before I would stay here again. There is only one bed side table and lamp which made it difficult to read at night and no place to put anything. No lamps in the living room so you had to have the overhead lights on at night. A few upgrades and this would be one of the best places to stay in Helen.
