Lovely property - centrally located - quaint - quiet - felt right at home! Great communication with owner. Great place for a lads golf trip, family trip, or couples getaway! Can’t recommend more!

We stayed for two weeks and truly enjoyed the accommodation. Very spacious and lots of room for our extended family of eight. Loved the village atmosphere and proximity to down town Stirling. Bob is a kind and gracious host and always available . He even had us over to his own house for a visit and glass of wine. When we arrived we were surprised and delighted to find some extra gifts such as croissants. milk, juice etc. Very much appreciated after arriving late at night after grueling flights from Victoria, Canada.
We visited Foresters Pub downstairs a number of times and it was very handy to host friends and family members visiting us from other parts of Scotland. Sandy the pub owner is very friendly and some of the regulars are indeed characters.. It seems that everyone in Cambusbarron owns at least one dog :-)
Will definitely stay there again on our next visit home to Scotland.

Bob was a fine friendly host, communicated well, speedy replies. Nice surprise of a welcoming treat of bakeries etc! Comfortable, spacious and homely, clean beds, but elsewhere hadn't been cleaned sadly. Dust even on towel rails. Oven and cooking items were filthy. After my family gave it a thorough clean throughout, had a good week in the flat. (A few 8-legged guests shared our accommodation!) Overall for the price it's good, just needs cleaning better please! Thanks 😊

I highly recommend this well appointed accommodation for both families of all sizes and multiple couples.
All the rooms are spacious and the bedrooms come with nice touches such as USB charging points.
The addition of a 9 foot plus Xmas tree in the living room was an amazing addition!
Being above a pub downstairs wasn't an issue at all in terms of noise and obviously has the upside for those wanting a drink or two in a convivial environment.

Perfect family holiday
The host was immensely responsive throughout the process. We booked months in advance and they responded within the hour any and every time we contacted th through Vrbo site. More was provided on the property than I anticipated, down to washing up liquid and pastries waiting for us. The town is small but butchers and cafe were great, with a co-op just a block or so away, though there was a hill coming back up. :-). Highly recommend!

Perfect for larger group
This flat had exactly what we needed. Owner was very responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay, even helped us get our belongings inside. We had wonderful croissant, jam, and snacks left for us as well. The pub downstairs was a great place to meet locals, and everyone was so friendly.

Lovely Village
We were welcomed not only by the owner but by the neighbors as well. Shop owners were welcoming and accommodating. Apartment is great-very spacious and conveniently located. Only disappointment (to us and to multiple taxi drivers who commented) was the closure (temporary?) of Forresters, the pub below. Would definitely recommend location! We had a fantastic girls’ trip that we will always cherish.

Outstanding Accommodation
We cannot rate this accommodation highly enough. It exceeded our expectations. It was clean, tidy, spacious and well equipped. We were particularly impressed with the size of the bedrooms and communal rooms which had a homely, family feel. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need.
Bob the host is very friendly and helpful.
It was a fantastic base for our golfing holiday with easy access to numerous courses.
We will definitely be returning and will recommend this to friends and family.

A perfect time and a perfect place
Our first overseas trip after Covid and we couldn’t be more pleased!
This property lives up to all of its charm and more. From our splendid host Bob to all of the wonderful people in the village, the Forester was the quintessential spot for being away from the hustle and bustle of the city but completely accessible to our needs for an extended holiday in the heart of Scotland’s historic treasures.
Bob, Mike the butcher, Bronny and her mother at the cafe as well as the staff at the Post Office and Co-op - were friendly and helpful as can be.
We loved having extra refrigerator space and freezer (we went to the butcher almost every day) and loved the extra touches such as fresh flowers and tea and biscuits provided by Bob. He was also an excellent guide providing suggestions on sites to see and places to have some of the best food in the UK. Very prompt in replying to any questions or concerns. Top marks all around.

Lovely place to stay
With the covid-19 we had to change our stay several times as we were trying to get home. Bob was amazing in allowing us to change several times. He always answered and responded quickly. Would definitely stay again.

A well kept large appartment which suited our family of six beautifully. The pub downstairs was very friendly and we had no noise at all from it. A fantastic holiday base.

A very spacious apartment for a family group.
Plenty of space in the appartment. Made to feel very welcome on arrival by Kirsty and throughout our stay by Bob. There is every facility you need and an ideal location for everything we wanted to do. Definitely recommend visiting the local butchers.

Stellar Property for a Family Vacation
We absolutely loved our stay at Forester’s apartment. The apartment was huge and full of Scottish charm and it was perfect for our family of 6. Forester’s Pub was a huge hit with us too! We loved the atmosphere, mingling with the locals, even ‘Sarge’ the resident boxer! On another note, The airline lost a piece of our luggage and the staff in the pub were so understanding, even trying
to help track the bag down by calling the airline as well! When the bag was finally located and delivered to the property the staff were happy to accept it on our behalf and store it safely until we returned from our day outing. We would highly recommend Forester’s to anyone that is looking to experience the real Scottish experience!

Love, Love, Love!
This place was brilliant! To start with it was huge. We had a family of 5 and could have easily doubled that number comfortably. Lots of windows and light throughout. Apartment was very clean and well stocked with towels and kitchen needs etc... A huge plus was having a washer AND dryer! Had a separate freezer and second refrigerator at the base of the staircase. The living room was large and comfortable, also the WiFi and television set up was great.
This amazing apartment sits above the most precious pub by the same name. Filled with locals that were extremely friendly and welcoming. We never heard any noise upstairs from the pub but we did go down nightly! We were even allowed to bring our children in and they got to play pool and darts, they loved the pub too!
Another huge plus was location! It was easy to get good free parking on the street and you have everything you need within short walking distance. You simply must try the steak pie from the local butcher. This little town of Cambusbarron is within minutes of Stirling and numerous attractions but with all the quaintness of a small rural village.
We stayed 4 nights and could have stayed a month! We are so happy this was one of our last stays at the end of our month long adventure in Scotland! You know the saying...we saved the best for last.
Highly recommend this place and would return in a heartbeat

Perfect location for exploring
Clean and tidy, spacious and well equipped. No hairdryers or irons provided. Fresh linen and towels. Great location and plenty of on road parking. Close to amenities and motorway links. Lovely view and walks in surrounding area.
Property and furnishing are a little tired although in keeping with the period decor. Helpful and friendly service from proprietor.

Great Apartment, Fantastic Location!!
We just completed a week long stay at this apartment and we highly recommend it for large or small groups. Great location for day trips to Edinburgh, Glasgow or surrounding area. Four bedrooms which easily sleep eight to ten people and well equipped with everything you need. A wonderful pub downstairs where you can enjoy the local ambiance (noise was never an issue). Convenience store across the street as well as a wonderful butcher with fantastic ready to cook meat pies! We had part of our group cancel but we intend to return and will definitely book this apartment again.

Spacious property with plenty of room. Elegant ceilings, log fire and big bedrooms.
Had a very nice stay over Christmas. Loved the flat. The Christmas tree was gorgeous. There was plenty of room around the table for Christmas Dinner for all nine of us and there was a huge oven and hob. Televisions in all the bedrooms too. Great for the kids. There was a play park a short walk along the road and Stirling Castle a short drive away - fairly expensive but worth a visit - a nice gift shop and cafe too. Beds were comfy and plenty of towels in the two bathrooms. The Forresters pub was welcoming and we saw Father Christmas there on Christmas Eve! We spent a couple of evenings there with prices very reasonable - kids as well. There is a shop across the road and a Co-op just down the hill if you need anything. Having lived in the Central Belt for 40 years until a few years ago it helped knowing the area, however, the new road layout for the Queensferry crossing was a bit confusing at first. Edinburgh was as always - good shops but busy and St. James Centre has been knocked down since we left. Thoroughly recommend this flat - best I have stayed in.

Very nice large & comfortable flat, spotlessly clean.
We booked to stay in this property for 4 days. Our family had travelled to Stirling for the Runrig Farewell Concert.
There were eight of us in the flat and there was plenty of room.
The dining room had a large table covered by a spotlessly white table cloth and there was room for us all to sit very comfortably around it.
The kitchen was clean, very well equipped, plenty of dishes, pans & cutlery, a large range style cooker, dishwasher & fridge. There was also another fridge in the hall.
A selection of foods had been left in the kitchen for our convenience. Also tea coffee sugar etc, with fresh milk & orange juice in the fridge. Two large bags of fresh croissants & pastries were also left for us.
The house was lovely & warm, mainly because of the exceptional summer weather. But when we came in on one cooler evening, I noticed the radiators were warm. So despite the lovely summer weather the heating had been left on, controlled by a thermostat to kick in if the temperature dropped.
The bedrooms were large, all had TVs & the beds were comfortable.
The lounge was very pleasant, nicely furnished, with TV and sound bar. There was an open fire which would be lovely to sit around if the weather was cooler.
A vase of fresh flowers had been left on the coffee table with a note of welcome, a lovely touch.
The utility/laundry room doubled as a second bathroom, with toilet & shower in a sectioned off area. Also a washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes pulley & a freezer.
The whole flat was spotlessly clean, many thanks to the housekeepers Kirsty & Dawn for that.
The pub downstairs from the flat is a very friendly place. We had an enjoyable time there, chatting with the locals.
Everyone connected to the pub & flat were exceptionally friendly & helpful. From helping us find the most direct route to walk to the site of the concert, to finding takeaway food with home delivery & then directing the deliveries to us.
Thank you all for your help, you made our holiday very enjoyable.
