Great choice for Vezelay!

The location was fantastic, very close to the basilica. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had a nice view. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Their recommended restaurant, SY La Terrasse, was also very good. I would definitely stay here again. It was lovely to be in Vezelay in the evening and early morning.

Access was a little complicated, but we found it without much difficulty with the instructions provided. The church bells are nearby. Personally I enjoyed that, but others may not.

A delightful small hotel with character and charm.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful; staff were helpful and friendly. The building has great character, and is ideally situated for visiting the great Basilica nearby, just a few yards away. The location is also very quiet and peaceful.

Parking is quite a way from the hotel.

Would stay again in an instant!

Great location in the heart of Vezelay. An incredible fortresses village with huge history and a massive basilica.

I would not recommend room 206 to anyone reasonably tall (I’m only 1800mm) but the head room to the ancient roof beams is less!!!OK if you’re less than 1650mm! b

Check everything before you book!!!

The outside of the building was nice but not much else.

Room was not what we expected. No photos of the room were shown on your website so we went in with high expectations only to be let down significantly. It was very basic and definitely not worth the money hence why we didn’t stay two nights as originally planned. Nothing was free (parking, breakfast etc) and nothing was open, not even the local bakery. Don’t expect a good atmosphere. It was far too sleepy for us.

only two small things that needed more care, only two lights out of five were working in bathroom, and the bowl of fruit in the room was old and needed refreshing the grapes were shrivelled up and brown. but only minor points

A real treasure in Vezelay

Everything met my expectations

All the descriptions and the photos matched the description and the photos. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast great, espresso machine in the room was a nice addition. Everything was well thought through and the staff was extremely helpful and nice!

a real gem of a hotel n a gem of a town

The room was most comfortable with great heating in a cold snap! Very clean and the bed was most comfortable. ALl I need in a hotel room. the location is right in the middle of this beautiful town. Couldn't ask for more.

Check in is quite limited in hours but absolutely understandable for a hotel in this very small town. Those needing to sleep in just bear in mind the church bells ring hourly from 7 am. still worth a 1 night stay

A uniquely quirky boutique hotel in a beautiful historic village. It is a firm family favourite.

We have stayed in Les Glycines several times over the past years. Being in Vezelay it is a convenient overnight stop on the long drive down to Provence on holiday. This boutique hotel is unique: an inspired restoration of an old house in the middle of this historic (traffic-less) medieval village on the old pilgrim trail. The sister restaurant ('La Terrasse') nearby on the square in front of the basilica is excellent.

Given the Covid restrictions, the usually excellent buffet breakfast was replaced with a more simple one offering less choice but delivered to the table.
