THEY WERE PHYSICALLY AGRESSIVE/VIOLENT TOWARDS ME AND TRIED TO HOLD ME CAPTIVE - YOUNG SOLO FEMALE

My initial experience at the riad was bad but more because my bedroom was dirty. Then they cleaned the room and when I mentioned things aren't working in the room, they upgraded me and they accommodated an earlier/later breakfast which was positive. Initially I thought one of the staff members called Iman was nice. However, I later learnt this was far from the truth, she turned out to be a horrible person who allowed me to experience horrible things. I feel traumatised by Riad Omara al Kasbah. I wanted to have a hammam at the riad as they insisted it was good. I can honestly say it was absolutely appalling. There was barely any steam and even though I had so much dead skin, the lady did not even try to remove it - the dead skin remained on my body. She could not even speak English and throughout the hammam, I constantly asked her when she is going to remove my dead skin - she just kept saying 'later, later' and then she said 'downstairs'. I was so confused and thought she's going to take me to an area downstairs to remove my dead skin, only to realise she was taking me downstairs to change into my clothes as the hammam had FINISHED!!! When I told Iman that I had a bad experience and no dead skin was removed whatsoever and this was the main reason I wanted the hammam, she claimed that it's because I must have put oil on my skin and when I said I did not because I never wear oil on my skin as I hate it, she would not listen to me and insisted this is the reason no dead skin was removed rather than accepting that the hammam experience was poor. I insisted that the hammam experience was bad and at no point did she attempt to rectify anything/offer any solutions. She just stood there silently and smiled which angered me. I then had breakfast and I was ready to check out.

Delightful, Traditional Style Riad in the old Kasbar

The property has a beautiful inner courtyard with water fountain. A very tranquil and relaxing space away from the hustle and bustle from the street outside. An oasis of calm to come back to after navigating the busy medina.

I was disappointed there were building works on the roof during my stay as the pool was being renovated. This should really have been reflected in the room rate. Also i would suggest covering up the jams at breakfast time with lids as they were attracting wasps which was a bit annoying. Finally although the location is relatively central its on a busy polluted street. The bedroom at the front could have maybe had some noise insulation around the windows.

Très satisfait, ce riad a participé à rendre nos vacances inoubliables.

Le riad a un très bon emplacement et a une décoration authentique qui nous plonge dans le charme du maroc. La chambre était confortable. Le personnel super accueillant et toujours prêts à aider. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Je reviendrai.

La télévision ne fonctionne pas mais c'est un détail. La wifi n'est pas très efficace.

Wonderful!

Such a beautiful Riad! The rooms are excellent; clean, spacious and beautifully decorated - super comfortable bed. The location is brilliant and I felt so safe as a solo female traveller my entire stay.

In Morocco there are companies that buy reviews for hotels and so. Don't believe it.

- They charged me in the place more than 20% of the price in Booking, even though they cancelled the reservation saying I didn't show up for not paying Booking's fee and put me in trouble with Booking. - The breakfast is bread, butter and jam, that is it. - The receptionist doesn't speak even one English word. - The area looks uncomfortable and unsafe. - we booked two double rooms, one for girls and one for boys but they didn't accept that girls take their room, bad behaviour too.

Suleman, and Man were amazing hosts, and they couldn't have done more! Thank you guys, the room was super clean, and the best was very comfortable. A good night sleep is guaranteed! :) Spacious bathroom.

The room jacuzzi wasn't working, and no tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Hubiera estado muy bien, pero...

El alojamiento es muy bonito, la habitación , el patio central, la azotea,la cama muy comoda, aunque se oía el ruido de la calle. Se encuentra dentro de la muralla, a un paseo de 8-10 minutos de la plaza Jemaa el Fnaa, por lo que es una zona más tranquila, sin perder el encanto del bullicio, aunque menos que en la medina. Mencionar a Zuli, que fue encantador.

Que no nos cobrarán por adelantado, a pesar de que así lo decía la reserva, y se hiciera en el alojamiento. Eso ocasionó un incremento en la cuantia, pues no se respetó el precio de la reserva. Informé a Booking, y estos hasta el momento, se han limitado a lamentar lo sucedido. Las fotos son tal cual se muestran, pero ojo con la información de pago, según Booking el Riad se reserva el derecho a cobrar en el alojamiento (información que al reservar no se indica, salvo el pago de las tasas municipales que esas sí te dicen que pagas en el alojamiento).

Très bon séjour largement dû aux bons soins de Soulimane

-nous avons aimé l’accueil qui nous a été réservé par Soulimane qui a été aux petits soins pour nous rendre le séjour le plus agréable possible. -le petit déjeuner. -le calme.

-piscine hors service. —Spa inexistant et aucune proposition de service. -notre première chambre avec une odeur nauséabonde,la réception de chambre le problème fut réglé sur le restant du séjour. -pas de proposition de parking pour la moto.

This could be a great Riad.

Lived the location and the staff.... Everyone tried so hard to make this a good experience

When we book this it was advertised with air conditioning and working internet, neither or the case... After arguing and going back and forth and numerous times for several hours, we finally ended up with a room with air conditioning that worked.... Okay... This room was also 4 ft from the dining room, and dinner service started around 9:00 p.m.... from that point forward it got louder and louder and louder and the cigarette smoke filter bedroom where we were just inundated with noise and smoke, there was no other option other than just simply leaving

Riad Omara al Kasbah was an absolutely wonderful stay. So much so, that we kept extending our time a couple a days at a time until our 3-4 day stay was 9 days! We had plans to move to another riad, but enjoyed the ease and comfort. We changed rooms one time during our stay as our intial room was booked as we extended. The place is beautifully decorated, easily accessible and not far from one of the main gates of the medina. Totally walkable proximity to Jemma al Fna and they themselves have a restaurant within the facility where you are served breakfast. The highlight of our stay is the kindness of those working there. Youness, Moouad and Omar made us feel at home, assisted us easily with all our needs during our stay and took interest in whether we were ok and safe in our adventures in Morocco. Younes is a wealth of information at making navigating Marrakech easy. Truly a wonderful experience.

I only warn that if you are not able to navigate narrow winding steps or have accessibility challenges, this is not the place for you, as all rooms are at least one flight of stairs up and the top floor being multiple winding flights up

Nice Riad but needs a better attitude.

The two managers were unpleasant at times. they were eating when we arrived and didn’t bother to greet the group or tend to our checkin. Two young men were run off their feet trying to assist with little English. when my guide rang to organise carts for for our luggage to be brought in as our bus was too large to enter, he was told to organise it for himself. I will not book another group into this Riad. We did not feel welcome.

Good option for Riad in Marrakech

A nice hotel, located close to the Medina center. The walking distance to reach the center was about 20minutes. The room was comfortable enough and the staff really friendly and available to assist in helping us organise things we wanted to do. The breakfast was descent. Overall, it is a nice optio.

The breakfast options could be improved.

Perfect, friendly, clean and beautiful Riad. Well located and great staff.

Beautiful Riad. Made very welcome. Collection service to and from the airport was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, charming and keen that everything was perfect - and it was !! The location is good and surprisingly peaceful within the building. The roof top plunge pool was also a nice facility and refreshing after days in the heat and bustle. I was visiting on my own this time and the single room was perfect. Sully was mainly in duty when I returned from my days out and added greatly to a great visit - top man !!

If you are cutting down on sugar you might have a little difficulty with the breakfast but no big deal just might be a but different which is why we travel isnt it ?

Nice Riad.

Although the Riad was very central it was very peaceful inside. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was nice.

The two bedroom (+living room) presidential suite advertised on booking.com turned out to only have one room. We were also woken up by a staff member knocking on our door at 1.30am one night who had wanted to check if we were home to lock the front door of the riad.
