Very friendly staff at check in.
Hotel is older, remodel attempts seem to have been made just not complete or quality
2.0
Our first room had a terrible smell so staff moved us to another room, which was OK. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable enough. We booked this hotel for the water features especially the hot tub. This is the only time I've ever been cold in a hot tub, the water was lukewarm, about like a heated pool. There were no pool towels and others said there hadn't been any all day. After about 45 minutes we went back to the room (wet) to take a shower and warm up. The shower temperature was colder than the hot tub. Sink had hot water but barely any in the shower.
Had a good night's sleep, intended to get up and try the hot tub again. Found out the pool area doesn't open until 10 am with checkout at 11 am. Everything else was so poor we didn't even bother looking at the breakfast.
I don't recommend this hotel, won't ever go back.

We checked out within 3 hours of being there after we went down to the waterpark and came back to our room we noticed
The room had bugs on the sheets and one of the beds were broke so we checked out and went home

the hotel room
had no sheets for the pull out bed texted for sheets and towels and never received. went to the water park and went to ask for towels was told they’re all in the wash sorry. sorry bring your own. the pull out was a thin foam piece that was dirty and gross so kiddo had
to get in bed with us. no plugins next to the bed to charge phones. Worst part went to check out a lovely nice gentleman that wa s maintenance went to get someone for me and the guy came out dumbfounded looked like he wasn’t awake and said what do you need… i said to check out oh your good i said how you don’t even know what room number i am and stood there and stared at me. got an email about checking out 2 hrs later thank goodness i checked my phone and clicked already left highly disappointed

We got locked in the bedroom. The key fob broke and the door handle was just spinning around and around. Maintenance did upgrade us to Presidential but mother is handicapped and the only elevator that was working was all the way on other side of the hotel. I had a full blown panic attack from being locked in the room.

Gone downhill since our last stay here. Kiddos enjoyed the water park, but the front desk staff were rude, first room had no heat, second room had multiple broken things, tv didn’t work, phone ripped out of wall, and pool was supposed to open at 10, but didn’t open til 10:44. Cleanliness wasn’t great either.

Everything was immaculate our room, the pool area and the arcade. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The indoor waterpark was very clean and nice. kids had to be a certain height to go down the biggest waterslide but yet they let kids of all sizes in The smaller area met for 1-5 aged children. The smaller children were repeatedly knocked down by children that were 14 or 15 and had no business being in the smaller waterslide area. As they have a certain height to go down the big water slides, they should have a height requirement For the smaller side, so the smaller children could play more safe. Why a teenager would wanna go down a tiny waterslide was beyond me. We seen smaller children repeatedly knocked down water splashed in their faces.

My grandson LOVED the pirate ship water play area! Waterslides were fast. Rooms were comfortable, but facility is aging. Free breakfast was continental, no hot food or juices.

Nice, clean and comfortable. Front desk person was friendly. Wonderful place for children to have fun in the swimming pools and slides. Could have used a little more lighting in the room. I would have given it five except for the person who was working in the Boo's Pizza and chicken / sports bar. I believe he may have been the manager. He was the rudest person to us and everyone else that came in. He was dressed in shorts and a t-shirt. Said there was no bartender so he complained the whole time that he had to pour drinks and He didn't know how to do that since he's not a bartender. My husband and I and one other person were the only ones in the bar. We had to wait 10 minutes when we went in to get our drink. Other people came in to order food they also had to wait about 10 minutes for him to even acknowledge them. How busy could he have been when we were the only ones in the bar? The other person was a local who has been there many a time and this man, I believe his name is Kevin, was really rude and ignorant to him also. I wanted a draft beer and he didn't know how to pour it. We order an Italian hoagie and he gave us some other kind of hoagie. The three of us left.

Pool is geared towards children but I don’t feel like pool hours are. Pool doesn’t open until 10 am and checkout is at 11. Pool stays open until midnight and then hallways are insanely loud and everyone gets woken up.

It would have be better if they had a tub instead. For the most part we had a great time.

My team was booked here because of the location, readings and breakfast buffet availability at 6:30am. The buffet was not available until 7:30am according to an employee, and, the same employee said the breakfast is not that good anyway. My team needed to change rooms because of cleanliness. We found bugs in the rooms and the need skirt had blood on it. The stay was a disappointment.

The rooms are arranged around extremely long corridors which wrap around a central atrium... a very long walk from our room to the reception area which connects to an enormous atrim evoking one of those 70's-era Las Vegas motels a couple blocks off the Strip. Our room, however, was large and comfortable, with one of the best bathrooms we had seen on this long car trip, featuring a large, tiled, walk-in shower, a refreshing change from those slippery bathtubs found in motels all across the country. Convenient location, easy on-and-off Interstate 35/80.

The cleanliness not great building in rough shape

The stay was ok but could use some updates. Beds had bed bugs. My 2 kids woke up bitten by them. My wife informed the front desk and they said they were already aware of it and the general manager won't do anything about.
3.0
It was a fun place and comfortable enough, but the people working the front desk were horrible. Rude, unhelpful, uncaring, and lazy. The life guards were the only ones there doing their jobs.

We stayed at your hotel from 9-27 through 9/29. This was as a very poor experience. First, we had mold in our 1st room (#161) when moved to second room (#181) which also had mold and when it was brought to the attention of the check in staff, they sent maintenance and he simply denied that it was mold and wiped it off. First of all mold doesn't just "wipe off" and second rust does not grow on drywall. We were then moved to room 283 (third move by the way). Second the website states a "Buffet" breakfast as well as the check in staff confirming the "Buffett" breakfast. When we showed up Sat morning at 8am for the "Buffet" breakfast, it was pizza which was empty and once it came out was just one pizza, not very "Buffet" now is it. With the amount of people how far do you think 1 pizza will go? Third, the hotel had a very distasteful odor of a mix of old, musty, dirty odor. We frequently visit the Ramada water park hotel in Sioux Falls, SD and have never experienced such an awful stay. The pool had floaties and seemed cloudy, to me that states filtration issues. We picked your hotel so my granddaughter could enjoy swimming and a good stay. Fourth the front desk was asked for a couple extra towels for room #113 which never were delivered so we had to share a wet towel to dry after the shower and we had the maid service please on the door Sat and it was not done.
We left 1 day early, staff at front were getting short, snappy, and rude.

The experience was absolutely terrible! We encountered bed bugs and the staff refused to take any action. Despite our patience, they did not offer to change our room, and they neglected to assist with the necessary treatment of our clothes. We were left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time while they "figured things out". Additionally, the breakfast buffet only offered unpleasant cold pizza and coffee. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience with an unhelpful front desk. We will not consider returning in the future.

The room was very adequately sized for a suite. Staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful.

Very day we had to go to desk and get key activated. Maid service was terrible took our towel never replaced them.Elevator was out of order. No breakfast on Monday was supposed to from 6:30 to 9:30. Hair dryer didn’t work. Hot water didn’t always work. The mold on doors was terrible. I have stayed at Ramada motels before they were always great but this Ramada was horrible

This place is nasty. They have ants 🐜. We had to be moved to another room because the ants were all over the floor. We left our bags in our car because we didn't feel comfortable having them in our room. When we went to inform the staff of the issue we were told we had to wait for her to finish doing her audit to be moved to another room. The next room was dirty beyond belief. The best part of this resort was the pool. When it was time to check out they refused to give us a receipt that's a whole other issue. We will not patronize this business again. Enjoy your stay do NOT eat in your room.

The room was clean, and beds comfortable.
Night staff at the front counter was not great, but morning staff were polite.
There is a lot of moisture throughout the property.
6.0
The suite was spacious and the bed was comfy, but the carpet was worn and in rough shape. We were there for the water park and the kids loved it! The food onsite was mediocre, but convenient. Overall a good stay for one night considering that this is a 3 star hotel.

We booked this hotel specifically for the waterpark, being that we were visiting from out of town and thought it would be a great way to spend time with family.
Tl;dr on this review is - if your expectations are low and you don't experience sensory issues, this is probably fine.
*The Waterpark*
When we arrived, it was a Saturday - the waterpark was packed and the lifeguards were fairly attentive. The park fixtures had definitely seen better days, and were showing signs of disrepair (peeling paint, parts repaired with duct tape); however, the staff was cleaning regularly.
Our final day there, the waterpark was closed because of no lifeguard staffing. My frustration with this was not because of it being closed, but because of how it was communicated- which is that it wasn't. We found out by overhearing the staff telling another guest asking about waterpark hours for the day. Nothing had been texted to guests or posted on pool entrances, etc. I just kept thinking, what if you booked this hotel for today only, showed up with your family excited to spend time at the waterpark, only to find out it was closed.
*The Rooms*
Poorly maintained, poorly upkept. There were hunks out of wood funiture, deep staining on fabrics, walls, and ceilings, and the room smelled strongly of smoke even though they were non-smoking rooms.
*Breakfast*
There was free breakfast at the on-site restaurant. The food was meh, and the restaurant space itself left much to be desired (one word: sticky).

This property is in a period of transition and has a long way to go.

Shower didn't work in the riom sounded like pipe busted in the wall so we changed rooms then that one reeked of straight Mold. Sobwe asked for another one... this one had no phone in it and the hairdryer didnt work but by that point we were exhausted and stayed put... Seems like theres alot of things short cutted there. No welcome book W/ list of phones # and Restaurants. The pizzaria

This hotel is a good choice for families on a budget traveling with young children. The pool was great and the staff are very friendly. The hotel rooms are older but the beds and pillows are comfortable.

Good breakfast... pool/water park is perfect for kids 3-10

The hotel shows its age. They have done a remodel and the bathroom was nice. But, due to the nature of having a water park in the middle of the hotel, you can tell they battle moisture issues. Huge fans were blowing down the hall the entire time we were there.
The breakfast was not great, with only one waffle maker working, and the juice dispenser was inoperable. So, they brought out jugs of juice, and it was a brand I've never heard of. The options were pancakes, sausage links, and hash brown patties, along with a waffle (if you were willing to wait). You could also tell that staffing was an issue, as it often took a while for food or drinks from the restaurant. It also took a while for the staff to get around to cleaning things, so tables were often sticky.
The redeeming thing was the water park. The kids had a blast and we enjoyed the adults only hot tub.
3.0
The pool area was great. The one pool wasn’t open when we checked in but by the time we got to the pool area it was open. My kids really showed themselves.
Now the hotel & restaurant itself could use some cleaning & updating. Went to Boss pizza & chicken for supper. Food was ok. We’ve had better but also had worse. Menus need updated. Prices do not match what you are charged.
I feel like a good deep clean, some renovations this could be a better place.

Great staff and hotel had many activities for the kids. Rooms could use some updating but overall fine. Would stay again

Very dirty and sticky all around. Pungent smell in the air. Poor breakfast and understaffed.

Hotel is perfect for a family. Pirate ship and all surrounding pools were clean and checked frequently for any issues.

We asked for towels for 3 hours… never could get any. Pool towels or bath towel…. You are forced to choose.

The stay was great. The water park room is pretty humid, so be prepared for that. The service was nice and the drink tickets were awesome!
4.0
Overall the stay was fine. Kids enjoyed the pool. Someone staying had pulled the fire alarm and there were kids jiggling doorknobs in middle of night. This is no fault of the company but we all had to go outside until the firemen cleared the area. It was not as quiet as i hoped.
