I stayed overnight for an early flight. They gratefully had a shuttle to the airport. Very kind, cooperative staff. Nice outside bench. It wasn’t very clean, I cleaned the bathtub, I believe it was just wear and tear that made it look dirty. The room was so so clean. Had a microwave and frig. I cleaned them. I felt safe, it was very quiet. They offered a wake up call. Just needs some upgrades. I’d stay again overnight for convenience and shuttle.

There was definitely smoking going on inside of the building. Everything seemed dirty. There also seem like people were living there. People at the front desk were very nice. Definitely did not seem like a safe place to have kids.

I think the motel is filled with long term residents. Nothing against a motel taking care of the otherwise unhoused, but the place was just off. We were there for nights and never had any sort of maid service. The pool is closed. There was not tissue in the room, and no towels our first night. Walking down the hall on the first floor, there was dogs in some of the rooms barking aggressively, just an odd thing.. The motel had no rooms available yet there were maybe 10 cars max in the lot. the mini fridge in the room was filthy. The towels we eventually got were clean, but relatively threadbare. Having said that, the front desk folks were quite polite and kind and apologetic. But something is pretty off at this place..

The receptionist was very friendly and did what he could to correct my reservation from smoking back to non smoking. However, standing alone in a cold lobby waiting for things to be corrected before I could check in,was an unpleasant experience. The entire place was stark and could use a welcoming,friendly, or cheery look. Signs in 2 spots, one typed the other hand written on a white board in colors,at reception angrily spoke of not accepting locals as customers as of 3/2022. This indicated to me that this was a questionable place and I probably should not have stayed where possible drug issues or prostitution occurs often enough that they have two signs. I was not alone and had my husband and grandchild with me, I can not imagine what they thought.

Obviously the hotel was in disrepair and needed lots of love. The bathroom was a little rundown But the shower was good. The bedspread had a torn spot and the hallway didn’t smell good. But it served our purpose of the only hotel with an airport shuttle at 12 AM.

Great value. Kind staff. Older property that needs some TLC. The fridge and microwave in my room were old and rusty. They screams “write a bad review”. Not sure why they don’t just remove them and update the amenities?

Very out dated and dirty and the people running the place seem very shady. The microwave had fungus growing in it had to clean it my self. Everything seem very old and used over and over for years. My advice spend the extra $ and go eles where.

What did I like? NOT MUCH, Handicap accessablity in the Bathroom was NONEXISTANT, Cleanliness overall NOT VERY GOOD MOLD IN THE BATHROOM AND MINIFRIDGE, FOOD FROM PRIOR TENENT LEFT IN FRIDGE, Amenities were Questionable, no food only Coffee available for breakfast

Staff was friendly but room had heater on instead of AC and the place was beat up. No TP or Kleenex installed in the bathroom (TP on back of toilet, wrapped) Totally disappointing, unsafe. I left and found another place to stay

Rooms were pretty dirty and the towels were tiny. Walls were moldy and so was the shower. Hallway smelled like weed. Internet was really slow too. The people were nice, but I don’t think that makes up for the rest of the place.

The staff was accommodating, but this is a poorly maintained property. This place features: dirty rugs, broken sockets, broken phones, saggy furniture, refrigerators that don't work, lights that don't work, fire alarms chirping in the middle of the night. Someone above me was moving out at midnight and kept me awake. Altogether it's a depressing place to be, but it is cheap.

Older property but owners and staff were very friendly. Very Convenient to Roanoke airport. The Inn also offers airport parking for a reduced fee. We used their parking offer and when we returned from our trip and called them, they came right over. Would stay there and use their parking again.

When I arrived I was informed I needed to make a separate security deposit of $50. This is not a common practice. The desk clerk was kind enough to make a room inspection with me, we found many damaged areas, missing smoke detector and soiled furniture. I took photos of all existing damage in the room. The room had a very unpleasant odor. It was quite noisy from outside and in hallway. I was told by the morning desk clerk that he would return my security deposit but as of this writing I was not refunded the deposit. I believe this security deposit rule should be clearly stated before making an online reservation through Hotels.com.

So terrible. I booked this place for my boyfriend as he was staying in Roanoke for a class for a few days. So horrific - he only stayed one night and then checked out- and even that was too much. We inquired about a refund and were told by the man at the front desk to lie to Expedia and say there was a family emergency. I tried a number of times to contact Expedia but was never able to reach a person. I instead contacted Discover and they initiated a dispute but the Carla Inn would not refund even after I uploaded a photo of a cigarette burned bedspread, (and I have a lot more pictures and a ridiculous video that I was unable to upload), and I was charged for the entire trip. The place is a DUMP in the purest sense of the word. Unless you *really* have a death wish, DO NOT STAY HERE. Expedia, I'd dump this one. One positive note: there's a lady at the front desk that I spoke with a few times, and she was very nice. I hope she finds a new job.

Walking up to the door it looked like spackle and debris had been swept out the door and left in the carpet. Inside had not been swept or mopped, cigarette burns in the blankets. Dead bugs on the floor. Pretty sure that was dried blood on the side of the tub, either way it had not been wiped down. And there was hair. The holiday inn down the road is pretty nice, they told me stories about people finding siringes at the Carla and bailing.

This hotel is in need of updating in every way. The mattress was very uncomfortable and the entire room was in need of just routine maintenance and repairs. The bathroom door was splitting apart, etc. I would not recommend this hotel.

So bad we left an hour into our stay! When you arrive note the grass growing thru the asphalt in the parking lot. This should be your first observation that this place is not taken care of in any manner. Inside the entire hotel, is fowl odors of stagnant piss, smoke, mildew, and something else not pleasant. Our room: oh Lord!!! Our room was so nasty flithy we left. Hairs all in the bathroom, and a shoe print not from our shoes. There was a toenail clipping on the carpet in between the 2 beds, indicates it had not been properly vacuumed. My bed was wet, not a small spot but half of the edge of the bed. There was also tiny debris in my sheets, like dirt..? The edge of my boxsprings look like a murder had previously taken place. And the beds and chair themselves were worn out. It was so nasty it made your skin crawl. The ONLY good thing i can say about this visit was the front desk oerson was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Price was excellent, also one of the few hotels that allow smoking and pets. Hotel a little run down. Housekeepers need to do a better job, toilet and tub were filthy, I had to clean off toilet seat before I could use it. only stayed one night and decided to not take a shower and waited until I got home.
