Staff very kind and accommodating. The pub food was good. No water anywhere in breakfast area. The hotel is old and smelled like it. We checked in and my eyes, nose and throat were irritated by moldy odor. The front desk guys promptly moved us but the second room was no better in terms of the moldy smell. We detected a lot of room spray or something also. They moved us again. The third room was only slightly better. My nephew gets episodic asthma and wanted to check out but I was too tired. I should have done it as I ended up sick after we left.

It was storming out they had water coming in the window in several rooms flooding the floor by that wall there was water dripping in the pool from the ceiling and they initially told us when we got there that they don't book to locals but i told them it was non refundable.

The staff was super nice and helpful. Check in and out was easy. The room was nice though the building seemed to need some maintenance and updating. There was visible damage on the covered driveway area and the window leaked in our room (there was monsoon grade rainfall that night). There were little things here and there that suggested that maybe maintaining the property wasn’t a strong point. The cleanliness of the room was good though. I felt safe there especially knowing a security guard was on duty. The breakfast was good and the staff there was also nice.

The hotel looks a bit worn out in a downtown area. The staff is super friendly, but the inside definitely looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 70s. There’s a cozy breakfast area, elevators that look like they came from the Tower of Terror at Disney World, hallways that smell like grandma’s house, and rooms that feel like they’d be a janitor’s closet with old hardware. It’s clean, cheap, and easy to get to, but I’d probably stay at a Courtyard or Candlewood instead.

I must say, i was skeptical at the low price & some negative reviews. But, this experience was awesome! Very clean, very pleasant staff, a very unique hotel, beautiful. The atrium area reminds me of a villa in italy. The breakfast was a buffet so i am not sure why peoples reviews said the food was slow. Pool was acceptable. Not deep for older kids but our 12 yr old had so much fun. Upon arriving, the hittub was cold. One of the other husbands went to the desk & advised them. A maintenance man was down within 20 minutes & reset it & it immediately got hot. AMAZING!

Wasn't able to check in until after 5pm, and at that time, there were still only a couple of rooms that were ready to be checked into. However, they did put us into a family suite, so we ended up with 3 queen beds, one in it's own bedroom. There were dirty socks left in the drawer and another pair behind one of the beds, and an unopened can of Pringle sitting behind the tv. The whole place is very outdated, but i already knew that beforehand, and for the price we paid it was not horrible. The pool was nice and warm, but so much chlorine in it that it was all you were breathing in. The breakfast was so so... definitely could be offering some type fruit, and juice other than orange juice. And no ice working in the machines. The shower was a good water pressure, which is always nice. I stay in topeka every couple months, to visit family, so if priced right again, i might stay, but would definitely tell them they need to triple check the room (as we were told the reason it took so long to get in our room was it had to be dble checked before letting people check in) The mgr lady was not nice about the late check in, but the young gentleman was trying to be. She should take customer service skills from him.
