The receptionists were impressive: welcoming, professional and very helpful. This is our second stay at this hotel and I recommend it to anyone seeking a clean, attractive, convenient and reasonably priced lodging. The decor is fabulous and the staff are extraordinary. I know that we will return on our next trip to Ireland.

The room was clean and we found everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The pub at the ground floor was wonderful. We had dinner there and truly enjoyed the location and the food. The staff is helpful and cares that guests enjoy their stay. I also suggest to visit the pubs nearby to appreciate the Irish music and the magical atmosphere.

Great place to stay, super convenient to walking to everything in Ennis. Bar is a good stop and the breakfast is very good. My only recommendations would be iron and ironing board in the room and coffee maker for us coffeeholics. I will be back, the folks here are so friendly!!

Stayed for one night before flying home from Shannon airport. Check in was probably the quickest and smoothest we have ever experienced in a hotel. The room was well equipped and comfortable. We had a nice comfortable stay with a quite nights sleep.

The perfect hotel to stay in. It is in the centre of town and close to everything. Ennis was great to walk around. You could get a great breakfast in Dunns for 5.75€. The museum right outside the door was free and worth a look. What a wonderful stay!!

Ennis is a lovely little town and this is a very good hotel, steeped in history. The staff were excellent, they couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. Proper Irish hospitality. I only dropped some points because we were woken by some weird noise around 7:30 and it went again around 9am, like someone playing a recorder, but it was outside. I also didn’t personally like the shower, but that’s very personal, it’s ceiling mounted and I have long hair. They did provide shower caps and toiletries, but it would be more eco friendly to have the shower lower, bulk shampoos etc and avoid all the single use plastic and toiletries. That said, we will be back, a very well run, comfortable and welcoming hotel, that well deserves the high start rating.

It has been the best hotel I have stayed since I arrived to Ireland. I would definitely stay here again. The front desk was very friendly and tried to help when I called after 10 pm.

My only concern was we did not have a king bed as booked. Breakfast was good, room staff very accommodating to not come in the room but would leave fresh supplies and water outside our door. Temple Gate is situated in Ennis downtown so you can walk many places. We love Ennis and hope to return.

Couldn't get updated map of Ennis from front desk and tourist info at museum was closed. Location is perfect and staff is exceptional and friendly. We will stay here again if we can.

The photos provided are not an accurrate representation of the room we were given. I can only assume that there is two parts to the hotel - a more modern build and room style as the room we recieved was defintely not up to the 4 star standard that hotel claims - old, tired and very much a disapointment. If i was to return I would be sure to ask for a modern room

Excellent location, extremely helpful and accommodating staff throughout the hotel. Lovely food in restaurant bar. Stayed in twin room as it was the only room available for the dates that we needed for the event that we were attending in Ennis, clean comfortable but probably needs a bit of updating.

We arrived early but were checked in with no bother. Our stay was very good. The room was clean and had lots of towels. There was a menu for breakfast and for meals in the evening. We had lots of choice.The location of the hotel is great...close to the town but very quiet. Parking is on site and free. We would stay here again.

I am aware of Covid issues but this is the first hotel where I have booked that have not been able to provide us with any options for food past a 4 hour wait for food. Very disappointed and was happily accompanied down the road and had a great meal and experience.
