The only great thing about this hotel is the location. The rooms are very basic and outdated. We were given a room which was right next to the emergency exit stairs and it was clear that people would go in here and smoke as there was such a strong smell of smoke as soon as you walked closer to our room. The free breakfast offered VERY limited choices, and often cold. Considering the price for a midweek stay, there are definitely better options around and we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Very close to pier and fisherman wharf. Beds comfortable. Pillows to flat. Also parking 75 a night. We park some where else for 35 a day.

Great lobby! It was a breakfast room in the morning. Then throughout the day we saw people using it for snacking, hanging out, waiting for their rides. We enjoying relaxing there while waiting to catch the streetcar for our train connection. Check in desk was very helpful in giving us options for dinner.

The property was in a good location for what we needed. It was good access to Fisherman's Wharf and the waterfront activities with not a lot of walking. The hotel itself was pretty clean and orderly even though they were very busy. Our room was small, but clean and orderly. We had good service from the hotel staff.

Highly recommend. Service was great and staff was very helpful. Valet was great too. Super fast and very nice. Had room with bay view of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. In a great spot too. Not a far walk from everything.

Can’t go wrong with Holiday Inn Express. Front desk staff were suburb and went above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Room was spacious and clean. Only issue was the AC was loud, but we got used to it.

Great location for walking around Fisherman's Wharf. Be prepared for additional cost. .if driving prepay for parking when reserving, otherwise the posted parking rate is $75 a night . .plus they charge a $25 fee for amenities, not included in the Hotels com charges!

We enjoyed our stay here. We were able to walk easily to Pier 39 and even enjoyed walking for exercise up the steep streets to Lombard Street.

We had a blast. Their Concierge hooked us up with public transportation, And fun affordable stuff to do. It is walkable to pier 39 and fishermans wharf. Their breakfast was greatnasnwell.

This hotel adds $75 to the bill ($50 of which is for incidentals and is refundable if note used). However, $25 is for facilities and some other type of additional charges which is not refundable. Terrible practice that many hotels use to jack up the price. Very disappointing. Just include these charges in the price quoted so customers can make fair comparisons.

I think everything was very clean, the staff was pleasant and very efficient. In addition to being very close to several tourist places, also with nearby transportation, the breakfast was pleasant, the gym, although very small, was quiet, clean and had the basic elements.

Overall it was a nice stay. The hotel is in very close proximity to the wharf. The only negative things were that the water pressure in our room was terrible and there were rust stains in our tub.

Everyone was very friendly. If there was a question or problem, the staff tried to solve it as quickly as possible. Good location for walking or cycling. Of the minuses, expensive parking, so if you like walking, you can do it without a car.

Good clean hotel, love the coffee and tea available 24/7. 65 dollars a night for parking is crazy plus tax, no need for that excessive amount for people that are already spending hundreds at your hotel. Outside the hotel are a bunch of homeless people but nothing the hotel can do about it. Small rooms but everything you need.

Don't stay here for the breakfast if you have dietary restrictions or allergies. I wish I knew that before booking and now know what to looks for in next trips. I haven't ever experienced a hotel that includes breakfast but does not accomodate ANY dietary allergies. When I asked staff if there were other options to accommodate I was snuffed. It's not hard to hard boil some eggs and set those out for alternative eggs to the scrambled eggs with dairy in them or buy a loaf of gluten free bread, other non dairy milk alternatives for coffee or tea...or cereal... It's a bit disappointing when you expect to save a bit on a hotel with included breakfast. The area in which you do eat breakfast was not able to accommodate all guests, they need more space for this. Some people had to sit on the benches in the lobby. Otherwise the hotel was clean, in a decent location to access many things. However given my dietary restrictions I would not book here again. The Riu a couple blocks away where our friends stayed at seemed to have many options.

While the location was decent, the soundproofing was extremely disappointing. From the moment I entered my room, I could hear conversations from the neighboring rooms as if they were happening right next to me. The walls seemed paper-thin, and every footstep in the hallway echoed through my room. Additionally, the noise coming from the refrigerator occurred every 40 minutes. The cleanliness was poor. An insect was seen in the room, which was terribly annoying.

Better than I was expecting. Hotel was very clean and bed was comfortable, I slept very well. Quiet except for the AC which was a little noisy when it turned on and off. Breakfast was good, starts at 630 and ends at 930, and was always busy with guests. I would stay there again!
