Not the place for me. It is not what I thought it was. Old. Restaurant was basic and pricey. Needs a complete overhaul. But. If you don’t give a dam about facilities and just want to sleep and ski. It’s perfect. Won’t go again

We had a long drive from Las Vegas, early November, the locations and overall feel of the resort and its beauty is breath taking. The heater in the room was a little noisy and there weren’t extra blankets in the room. But as a Ski destination, its a must. The food in the restaurant was amazing.

It is very well located but the rooms are very very very old and dated. But appropriate.
The carpet could be replaced. The bedding is very very clean and comfortable.
2.0 / 5.0
Old lodge that could use plumbing and heat updating. The room was comfortable for what it was and the people onsite were incredibly friendly. Loved the hot tubs!

I booked one room for one night at the property. Also, Somehow, I booked another room at another property that is 45min away. Two staff realized my problem and very kindly upgrade my room to two room condo.

Hotel has three different buildings, one has West and East Wing. Each building different. The annex does not have an elevator to
2nd level. Very limited food options at this location. The hotel has a restaurant. The Yodeler is basically only open in the winter. Otherwise you need to drive 10 min back down into town. Great location for skiing ski out, or accessing devil's post pile. (Summer). We liked the hotel well enough to have this be a return trip, but this time I noticed bed sheets did not seem to be cotton. There will be some some minor renovations in some parts of the hotel late fall '24. App is not letting me add photos.

The facility is in need of a refresh, staff was super nice and food in restaurant was good. Unfortunately the parking lot was being replaced and the signage was horrible and construction staff were not helpful

Room had been painted and bathroom remodeled. However, the bathroom sink didn’t drain well and the cold water faucet would turn backward as well as forward. The desk clerk didn’t seem too concerned. Pillows were not comfortable. Was charged a resort fee I wasn’t aware of when booking.

Comfortable thick towels, clean smooth bed linen.
I loved that it hotel next to wedding reception at the Yodler, didn’t drink and drive!
Just an old building. Management was great and allowed us a late check out for my daughter to have a zoom meeting past noon. I would stay here again.

Pretty dated and rooms/buildings need to be updated. restaurant expensive, room decently priced when we traveled

Right in the center of activities on the mountain. Friendly staff Surprised to discover that our visit right after Labor Day meant many activities were closed during the week. We had fun in the area anyway. Few guests in the hotel so wasn't crowded.

I've never been to a ski lodge, and this was the perfect place to start. The Lodge was warm and inviting, the fireplace was going. Our room was large and close to the parking garage. I was happy that every room had a portable fan, a portable humidifier and a small heater. I would love to come during ski season! The tram ride was wonderful.

Very comfortable environment

The beds were comfortable and the fridge worked well. The whole facility needs to update it's carpet and amenities in general. The little snack bar/coffee/store needs some attention as well. The breakfast food and the restaurant both had excellent service and very good food.

Comfortable hotel on the top of Mammoth Lake.
outside the centre for shops and restaurants.
Nice lobby

The room smelled musty. No AC. The front girl desk told me to open windows. That would be OK if the high altitude did not interfere with your breathing. I asked for a refund after the first night after they said they could not change my room to the one building that does have AC. We were in the east wing and let me tell you, the hallway looks like a mental institutional facility. Creepy! And the shower heads? Omg. Have fun with these 1970’s hand-helds. Never again. Don’t do it!

For the pricepoint, time of year, and purpose, Mammoth Mountain Inn does the job. The facility is dated and — according to locals — will be razed within the next year or so, so enjoy it while you can.

I liked the location. Walking distance to the gondolas and other activities. I didn't like the carpet in the room and building we stayed at. It seemed and feel old and a little dirty. There was a big stain in our room. I do understand that with all the outdoor activities, it may be hard to keep it clean but i would make a big difference. The main building where the lobby is seems to be better. Overall, we had a great time.
3.0 / 5.0
We were in the Yodler building and it was clearly run down: Stained hallway carpet, peeling bathtub finish, squeeking floor and bathtub. Also the location is a 12 min drive from restaurants and stores and surrounded by large parking lots. Finally there is a resort fee of nearly 30 per night that wasn't clearly indicated when we booked. All in all we were disappointed and wish we had stayed somewhere else.

It looks like a while ago it was a great hotel but it is really old and not in a great condition. Service was excellent. The parking is not so close to the building we stayed in.

Nice room with very high ceiling. Very spacious.
Parking garage.
Across the street from the main lodge and gondola

The lodge is really nice. The rooms are definitely outdated. We had a fridge that didn’t work so we lost all our food. They replaced it with another fridge that didn’t work the next night so we lost more food and had water all over the floor from the leak. They refunded the service fee but felt like they could have done more. I don’t think the price we paid for the room was worth what we got unfortunately.

Expedia pricing VERY MISLEADING and didn’t account for resort taxes fees

Location can’t be beat! Walked right out front to the Adventure Center to catch the shuttle to Rainbow Falls. Hotel met all my needs for a one night stay, will absolutely come back.

The property is in beautiful environment, I'm sure during winter season is bustling with life, in August it was relatively quiet (which I liked) and there was a lot of construction work going on in surrounding areas. The dining options are not that great - it's much better to drive 5 miles down to the Village and enjoy one of the great restaurants there. I had dinner in the Inn's restaurant - and although the quality of food was decent, the service was not so great - the staff was more interested in spending time on their phones or watching baseball on TVs than taking care of their customers...but again, I'm sure this is different when the place is packed with skiers in winter. Overall, a good place to stay, with (for me) added value of quietness and proximity to the trails.

Awesome place to stay

Location at main ski mountain great for ski season or to access Devils Post
Pile in summer. Due to it's location and age expect wear and tear, thin
interior walls and lots of noise outside. Mattress, pillows and sheets were
good. The main entry is sufficiently like a lodge and there is an onsite
restaurant. The hotel has multiple buildings some do not have elevators
(some travelers w long trips seem to have large luggage). We received a very
friendly welcome at reception at check in and out. Based on what you get for
what you XX for Mammoth Lakes, will stay again.

This hotel was fine. Beds were pretty good and pillows were great. It is a little run down - old carpet, stained. It was a little frustrating that there were restaurants but the affordable one was closed at 4pm.

$28.50 resort fee/n; room carpet dirty; shower bar hanging loose; sink faucet not installed properly; room tiny; would not stay here again. Have found most Motel 6 rooms better.
