The property was convenient to the highway and well lighted. A key card was required for the elevator, providing extra security. The room was clean and comfortable at a reasonable price.

The staff were friendly. The cleanliness was not the best. The hospitality was definitely lacking. NO luggage trolleys available & staff not helpful at all(we were traveling w child) Also, during peak checkout time, the two elevators available were being used both by maids & their carts. Long time waiting for elevators.

Check in lady was nice but had trouble checking us in. As soon as we got to room the tv would not work. Error message was on the screen. I called the front desk and someone came right up to take care of the problem. In casino we had to wait and no one ever came around to see if we wanted drinks. We went up to a worker and requested he send someone to us. By the time we gout our drinks mine was not what I ordered. In one of the restaurants (the one that you need reservations for and I didn’t know it, we were able to be seated. They had 2 specials one was ox tail and the other was a seafood platter for 2 for $65. After we ordered the seafood platter and drinks the waitress finally came out to tell us that they were out of the seafood platter although I saw at least one person get it brought to their table. Drinks took so long to get. The gumbo was to spicy to easy as was the blackened catfish that we ended up getting. Our waitress was to busy taking care of another table that she seem to know them well! We did not leave a tip. Unless things change we will not be back as I had to pay $265 plus the $50 that will be returned. My room was not a comp room!!

Evidently the shuttle to the casino was no longer offered andwe werenot alertedof this. The cable tv was out the entire time - supposedly because of weather. AND there were several cars parked on the stripes next to the handicap parking.

Hotel is across the street and not attached to casino. TV was broken, chest was broken and tables were very dusty. It was kind of ick. Husband and I came home with itchy bites on our ankles; what is that fleas? Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

LOCY ATION WAS OK, STAFF WAS NOT VERY ATTENTIVE TO NEEDS. REQUESTED SERVICE WHEN LEFT ROOM IN MORNING AND WHEN RETUNED LATE THAT EVENING NO SERVICE AND WAS NOT NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE THAT THIS WOULD NOT BE OFFERED. CALLED FOR DELIVERY OF TOWELS FOR THE REMAINDER OF MY STAY AND COFFEE AND CUPS. DID NOT GET ALL THE ITEMS AS REQUESTED. IN FUTURE WILL AVOID THIS HOTEL.

We arrived to the hotel we booked, a casino here in Vicksburg Mississippi, and it was disgusting. Looked nothing like the pictures, had no sheet on the bed, the chair was stained and had cigarette holes, it looked like something was smeared on the wall and gnats were flying around the room etc... We left the key in the room and walked out, loaded up the car and found another hotel

We were able to get a last minute deal and enjoyed our stay. Comfy room and didn't hear too much noise from the hall, even though our room was right off the elevator.

I had a couple of complaints. First is that it doesnt say they charge you for a $50 deposit for the room. Ok no big deal its only $50 but they give you no recipt of what you paid which makes it difficult if for some reason you don't get it back. They also make it look like its right up against the water. It says they have coffee and breakfast when in fact they do not have coffee and breakfast. It wasn't worth the $80 it cost when i could have stayed down the street for $50 and got coffee and breakfast

Pool area needs attention as trash and clothing left and jacuzzi filled with rocks but nice outside pool and sitting area. Room were clean and comfortable and staff was excellent (very nice and helpful). Good stay for the price. Felt safe. AC worked great. Will stay again.

Sheets had blood stains on them. Room wasn’t ready until 7:30 pm. I’ll never stay there again. I still have nightmares of turning down the blanket to see blood stains. Ew. Super gross. I know they’re affiliated with the casino (why we stopped on way to beach), so lord knows they have enough money to make improvements. Staff was nice. Not their fault the owners don’t properly maintain the facilities and hire enough staff to thoroughly clean rooms.

This property is definitely showing its age. The carpet was dirty and the floor in the bathroom was sticky. The air conditioning was terrible and set by hotel at 71 degrees. The only positive was the sheets were clean. We would never recommend or stay at this hotel again.

The reason for our stay it is because it was my handicapped daughter’s bday, no big deal just a night out relax in the pool and a quiet night, but what happened? I’m staying in room 413, I went to get some ice and the ice room smells like pee, then I go to the pool, get in it and then the security guard informs us that the pool is closed (we’re in the pool) because it hasn’t been cleaned in 3-4 months!! Then they’re false advertising!! They show a pool and a jacuzzi (not in working condition either) when I was at the front desk this afternoon I was informed the pool was in working condition and it was open until 8 for children and until 10 for adults!! I’m very disappointed! And if possible I would like a refund so I can take my daughter somewhere where she can enjoy the working facilities of a normal hotel!!😡😡😡😡

The casino is across the street from the property way down by the river. You can not walk to the casino. Don’t even try it. The casino/hotel does NOT offer transportation to and from. The jacuzzi tub was absolutely disgusting. Paid extra for that btw. It was never used. We found candy wrappers and a soda bottle under the edge of the bed that was from previous guests. As with most hotels now they do not offer cleaning services during your stay. The rooms are ok but could definitely be refreshed. All of the casino buffets are closed during the week and not many options for dining at any of them. I personally would choose a different property if I were to stay in Vicksburg again. If you want some good food try Beechwood, Rusty’s and Walnut Hill. You will not be disappointed!

Just like others I did. Or read the description in full before booking. This IS NOT A HOTEL & CASINO!! The casino is across the street down and extremely steep hill. Walk there was ok, the walk back was definitely a workout. Also did not like that the hotel is still using Covid as an excuse for limited or poor customer service.

The hotel is across the street from the casino , that's not how it's advertised on the internet, the lady upon check- in was rude , I was told to put the dirty towels on the floor outside the room door which is weird, the place smelled great but was not clean, the trash in the lobby area was over filled,I had to ask for extra towels, no one was smiling, staff was standing around gossiping and on their phone also to busy to point you in the right direction. The only pleasant person was the black American lady w/ glasses. The black American lady that checked me in needs to work on time management and being more customer friendly.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Entrance to the hotel has excessive cigarette butts laying around. Needs a good cleaning and move ash trays to the end of the building. Really don't like walking through cigarette butts and smelling the smoke. Elevator floors need some work.

Ameristar Headquarters needs to do a surprise visit to that place! Not recommended looks great on outside, inside not so great. Our floor had a dehumidifier when you get off the elevator it was full of water and shut off the whole 24 hours we were there. Rude front desk people. Couldn’t get extra towel for our room. Didn’t even have bags in the trash cans Shampoo bottle in shower was empty.. Very disappointed in it

The property needs major updates. The satff was really friendly. The room not so good. It had an old smell to it, the floor in the bathroom was not swept especially behind the toilet and door. The water did not drain properly in the shower. I was only there 2 days and only used the room to sleep and shower. I was out of the room most of the 2 days.

The hotel is not connected to the Casino. They do not have a shuttle.No early check in.Hotel is outdated. They do not do anything to make it convienent. I would not recommend this to anyone.
