Wanted to stay at a safe non smoking space.Was told upon check-in that it is a non smoking, service animal only establishment.Checked into a double bed room only to open the room door and be hit with the very harsh smell of cigarette smoke. Looked around the room and seen that although beds had been made, there was cigarette ashes on the floor between the two beds.Immediately went back to front desk. Asked for another room. Between the new manager and staff there was confusion over what other room to place us because they were oversold according to the manager. Manager went to see if room 134 was cleaned and as she was doing that the other staff member went ahead and gave us room 131. Wrote 131 on our key envelope. Proceeded to go to that room and met the manager in the hall she took us to room 134 even after we said no it’s 131. Tried the keys to 134 of course did not work but also did not work for 131. She let us in and said she was going to go fix our keys. We prepared to get ready to leave to go to our event, Waited about 30 minutes, Still no keys. Had to go back to the front desk to get keys And left to go to our event. Came back around 11:00 PM Only one washrag, three towels, one hand towel. How were we going to both wash with only one washcloth?? Thankfully I packed one to remove my makeup and used that.
Left the next morning back to our event can back not a single clean towel was changed out and no cleaning staff came. Terrible experience and I need moreroom 2write.

The room was clean and everything worked fine, but it was nothing special. When I arrived I had to wait 20 minutes for the clerk to come back to the front desk. The lobby was small and sparsely decorated. There were limited places to eat and when I went to Ziggy's it was already closed. I went there for breakfast in the morning and it was delicious. I will probably not return to this hotel. I have also stayed at the Lamplighter North and I do prefer it over the South location.

This stay was honestly horrible. Our room had not been cleaned properly, the cable box didnt work, there was no remote, we were missing 2 light bulbs. There was no shower curtain, kept having plumbing issues and the toilet wouldnt flush at all. The towels were rusty colored. When i went ask for more towels and blankets i was given 2 towels in the same condition and was told he'd have to see if he could find another blanket. There was a gentleman in front of me that needed more toilet paper and was given one of the huge rolls (like used at Wal-Mart) and was told thats all they had.

The first rooms were dirty not cleaned. Blood on sheets. The smell of different types of smoke was awful. In a hall that said no smoking. They gave us new rooms. They were a little cleaner but still went to Walmart to get stuff to clean the room. A dirty bath towel was on back of door. People living in the place hanging out … There were dirty needles in the parking lot.. Staff was nice but left a lot to be desired.

The pool was not avaliable for use. The room smelt very badly of chemicals. It was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in... while eating breakfast the people at the desk spoke about asbestos in the food came from bags. He just dissed the food the whole time. I regret staying here

The bedsheets are dirty, it has hair and black speckles of dirt on them. The carpet haven't seen by any vacuum. The coffee maker had molded used coffee.

Hotel is a bit dated and the carpet in our room was dirty. But the rooms are good size and the price is reasonable.

At first they tried to give my family the wrong type of room. Then bed linens were filthy. Front desk brought new linens and a we were putting them on the bed, noticed a yellow stain. Front desk mentioned that their housekeeping does not like to do laundry and that this has been happening often.

Our comforter had stains on it. There was repair on a wall and they didn’t clean up the drywall dust on the floor. The shower tub was very slick.

Reserved a room for 3 people 3 days and2 nights. Only had 2 towels and 1 wash cloth. However beds were very comfortable. Daytime desk clerk (a Marine) was very friendly and busy cleaning the pool. I think this place needs more desk clerks like him!!! The other 2 desk clerks didn't act like they even liked their job!!

From the moment we walked into the lobby, when the receptionist wouldn't move from her chair to check us in, to calling the hotel when we arrived home 5 days later and 4 hours away, this place is the worst place I have ever experienced. We took the room as it was our only choice. Sleep did not occur the first night. I called Expedia the next day and was delighted to hear that Expedia would assist as much as possible. This is a good thing because the 1st room air conditioning was barely working, the room was rank of mold or mildew, the molding around the room was missing or falling off, the ceiling in the shower was scotch taped as a "fix", and the presence of ants in our beds in the morning was an unwelcomed experience. Once moved to a new room on the 3rd floor, my allergies were less triggered, however the fake wood floors were so dirty our socks were blackened from walking around. We sucked it up and stayed the remaining days of our reservation. I couldn't wait to get out of there and head home. In my fury to leave, I inadvertently left my computer minitor on the desk. Not hard to do when I had to totally move all the furniture around to find a working wall oulet (that's another story in of itself). When i reached home, i realized i forgot the computer monitor. I called the hotel and was told that someone would check the room and call me back if my items were found. Needless to say, I never received that call. I hope the monitor breaks now,!

It was convenient in every direction we needed to go. But our First room wasn't very clean, one of the outlets didn't work, the sink faucet dripped a lot and we had to move rooms at Midnight because of an upper floor leak causing water to majorly run into our bathroom. The second room was better, but had too constantly ask for more linens since there was 3 of us.

The loby floors were sticky. My TV did not work and the person at the desk told me no one was there to take care of it and she would have to call there maintenance person. I asked how long that would take and she was rude telling me no one was there to help me at that time. No offer for a diferent room or reduced rate. Poor customer service.

I’ve stayed here last yr and this stay was just one night and the sink wouldn’t drain, the toilet barely flushed, the bathroom door was missing pieces from water damage and just felt dirty and didn’t smell clean overall! My wife and I will not stay here again ! This was just a getaway for us to shop the area again as we enjoyed the area but absolutely no about this place to stay

Our room was filthy. The toilet had urine all down the front of it. There were several small splashes of blood on the bathroom wall. The carpet was sticky. Only one light in the room worked. The remote for the TV was nowhere to be found.

Got into my 1st room missing a curtain. AC wasn't working right and it was filthy. Got moved to another room and it had a bad smell. AC filter filthy. No wall plugs to plug in phone or other electronics. Overall room was terrible. Hallways and lobby dirty. Everything in the rooms are outdated. Will never stay there again.

All forms of transportation available within 2 minutes or less of front door or at the front door pickup area. Construction in streets annoying but slowly being finished. Assistance with extending stay smooth and swift.

No deposit...because sometimes people dont always have that extra money for a room...that really bites when your really tired and need to sleep and your ĥit with that nonsense after booking the room online ya know who reads the fine print whose got time ya know anyway lamplighter two thumbs up 5 star becayse of that thank you life saver

This was a nice hotel to stay at for one night. It was just a solo trip with me and my poodle. Before booking your room I recommend calling to ask about the pet fee. Have a convenient little restaurant next door.

Well a couple of issues really got our attention.
1. Non smoking hotel had an odor
2. Non smoking hotel, yet employee vaping at front desk
3. Non working TV, when I called the front desk their suggestion was to walk down and get a new remote. Ummm how about bringing me a remote, I am the guest.
4. Got to witness a great game of grab ass between the staff while eating breakfast.
The "assistant" manager has offered a partial credit, which I have not received any notification on.

We didn't want to spend a lot on a room when we would only be there long enough to sleep and head out early the next morning so we booked a cheap room and our expectations were low. The hotel is old and dated and the room was clean on the surface, but it definitely could use a deep cleaning. Breakfast was the normal hotel breakfast with a variety of carbs, plus eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy.
It did the trick - we slept, showered, and headed on our way, but I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

There was a condom box and wrapper on the floor behind the chair. Floors needed attention, bathroom wasn’t clean. There wasn’t any housekeeping the entire time we were there. We had to fetch our own towels and toilet paper from the front desk. Bad weekend. No need to ever return. 😡
