This place located piano area , nowhere close to any other transportation so I had to spent 35 euros for taxi . That’s my fault that I didn’t aware the area, The worst part didn’t even started yet,
Shared shower room and washroom are small only hobbits can fit. I choose the the 6 bunk bed mixed gender room with 12 ppl . They are snoring like hippo I couldn’t sleep at all. And it was the biggest feast for all the bedbugs in the world. I got 23 bites all of my body it hurts and itchy like job in the Bible , I need to see doctor to get steroids. I spent more money than actual accommodation.
Nothing against staff. Just they had to change whole facility. My whole sorento experience was none stop scratching . Thank you Seven hostel.

There was so many bugs in our room, the room was tiny and so were the beds, and the bathroom smelled like mold

Their version of air conditioning is just a fan placed on the floor meant to cool four people in one room and does nothing for the humidity. Washrooms are small and have no where to put your things when getting ready in the morning/at night. If you arrive later in the evening you are charged a late fee that must be payed in cash and there is not staff in the building 24/7.

I was under the impression I booked a single room, I even called to confirm with the property in advance. When I arrived they told me no I was in a 12 bed mixed dormitory… not the end of the world and may have been a mistake on my end.
When I arrived in my room I found the AC did not work in 34 Celsius weather… the plug by my bed was so high I could not even charge my phone. When I addressed these issues the staff were no help. I ended up having to book a hotel in the area last second as these conditions were not comfortable to stay in.

There was black mold in one of the bathrooms. The bathrooms are not cleaned. They sweep but that’s about it. The location is good. The staff was good. They have free breakfast. They have cheap dining options. It would’ve been a good stay if it wasn’t for the bathrooms.

We stayed in a private room, which was nice. The place was clean and in an impressive building. Being in our upper 40s, we were somewhat older than most of not all folks here, but didn't feel out of place!
There is a nice rooftop bar serving a decent range of drinks after 7pm. They also do food up there, although don't expect it to look like the photos on the walls in the main courtyard room downstairs. It comes served in eco unfriendly plastic, and certainly isn't as gourmet! There is a dj there each Friday evening.
The location is OK. It's around 25 minutes walk in the heat with a loaded bag or 20 without from Sorrento. Or 5 minutes from Sant Agnello train station, although the trains from Sorrento aren't the most reliable. There are a number of local restaurants close by. For us, the slight inconvenience of being further from the centre of Sorrento was not a problem and we'll worry the lower price of the room.
Several aspects were not eco-friendly. For example, the soap dispensers in the bathroom were empty and soap provided in individual plastic packets, the tiny amount in each shampoo sachet making the amount of plastic packaging even worse (Covid can't be the reason for this failure to use the dispensers, given the way breakfast was served and lack of other measures across the hostel) while the aircon could have been replaced by less energy inefficient fans.

The shelves in my room were so covered in dirt and dust that a quick swipe of my finger left a thick sticky grimy layer. I had to wipe it down with wet naps before putting anything on it

The restaurant was also closed but the owners and employees were kind enough to make a big meal for each other and sit down in front of the guests and eat while they told us the kitchen was closed

Since there was no food available I had to run to the grocery store and grab some stuff to make a salad before they closed. On the way back I called reception since they were closing soon and asked if they could leave a fork out for me. They said the owner left with the kitchen keys and that they had no way of getting one for me.
So when I arrived back I told them I was super irritated that none of the advertised service were available and since I couldn’t get anything to eat my food Id just have to throw away all the perishable parts of what I had gotten. After throwing them out one of the staff told me she could have grabbed me one.
The service here is deplorable and the room was disgusting

Should have booked the other hotel. They let the group of teenagers throw the party in the bar at night from 8pm - 1 am without giving any notice about this kind of event to other guests.
Please avoid to book this hostel if you about to stay longer than one night or if you also have a car I’d recommend you to book other place where has a parking lot.

This place is really nice, with the big common area, spacious rooms and bathrooms, I think it has been renovated very recently. Each bed has its own power source, light and you can use your own locker to keep your stuff protected. The bathrooms attached to the room are big- with the 3 showers and toilets, really no queue on the morning. You can also use the public bathroom.
Breakfast is rather sweet but lovely: a lot of cakes, croissants, some fruits and yoghurt, tea and coffee, jam, chocolate cream. Great as for the hostel!
The only drawback is the location, outside of Sorrento, but the walk is okay- and takes around 30mins to the city. You can also take a bus for €1,6 (ticket from the driver but have the exact money ready), so not a big deal. I recommend this place.

Nice, clean, and reasonably close to the main centre. Wish staff are bit more attentive and more out there with bit of energy to help out and make your stay enjoyable especially the bar staff. Their attitude towards work are just I will help you because I have to. Hospitality requires more then that. You need to love what you do because customers can see it when you play on your phone or yawning or customer is waiting to grab your attention. There is no Realy any vibe in the hostel. Wish there is bit more activities that hostel can orgnasie even simple walking tour together where people can meet with one another. Hostel requires more then just a clean bed and great facilities. It requires staff energy and wanting to be there as well as activities for the hostel to organise. It doesn't have to be loud and noise but something simple.

We booked a double room, but ended up in a 6 bed dorm for ourselves. This meant we had loads of space, but the dorms are perhaps in generally poorer condition than the double rooms overall. Unfortunately, we shared the bathroom with an army of ants which was somewhat unpleasant.
The rooftop area is a great space, but not really utilised very well. They prohibit food and drink up there too. Why not put a bar, some seating and a shaded area up there, play some music and make a feature out of it? The location leaves this hostel a little isolated, and although food is advertised all day, when we asked for lunch, we were advised there was no chef on duty. As there isn’t much close by, this meant a 10-15 minute walk to the beach for some food.
The staff were lovely, and as accommodating as possible so credit to them. Overall though, I would recommend finding somewhere in Sorrento itself.

Great value hostel - okay breakfast, good local area but not that close to the centre of Sorrento. Easy to get there by train but these only run until 9:30pm.

We stayed in a double room with ensuite. The room was comfortable and pleasant.
We thought the included breakfast was respectable - cereal, croissants, toast-biscuits and cake as well as juice, tea and so on. It's not a first class breakfast, but it was a fair range for a hostel and there was plenty to go around - except for perhaps the cake, everything was replenished as needed for late-risers.
We ate at the hostel one evening as well, where there was again a fair range of choices, although the portions were a little smaller than we would have liked. Mostly around €8 a meal though, so not bad considering. About 10 minutes walk from the hostel you can reach a main street with a number of restaurants and local eateries for a broader range of choices.
As mentioned a million times in other reviews, the hostel is a good half-hour's walk from Sorrento. But for most hostellers, a bit of a stroll to the centre is unlikely to be a problem unless the stumble back home in the early hours of the morning is more likely to be of concern. And even then, it feels like a safe area to walk around in at night.

The hostel was very nice, the bedroom was big and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean but the showers doors were a bit translucent. It has a beautiful terrace with a great view and the staff is really kind. I would totally stay here again.

Decent place for the money, the location was good!

The hostel itself is a nice place to stay, it is full of other young travellers and staff are nice and helpful. However the experience would have been even better if the location was closer to sorrento as it was a little far out from the main touristy area. We used this hostel as our base for exploring other places around the area though so it didn’t bother us too much. WiFi was also very bad but it didn’t ruin the stay.

Decent location, quite a long walk from anything but acceptable. You do get a bit bored of the 15 minute walk from the train station after the first few days. Saying that, the location is stunning. Beautiful balcony views over the park and the mountains.
Fantastic and helpful staff, with an exceptionally lovely Barman who made us feel very at home.
Room was basic but comfortable.
Breakfast was pointless (who really wants to eat cake at 8am?) but cannot complain too much.
All in all, a very enjoyable stay in basic but comfortable accommodation with helpful, welcoming staff.

Seven Hostel is in a great location, with incredible views of the sea and mountains! Our room was clean and comfortable, plus we had a private balcony with more great views! The staff were very helpful, and breakfast was good. The hostel is within walking distance of Sorrento, (about 30 mins) and we went on a day trip to Amalfi by bus (2 hours each way) but the journey was well worth it! I'd recommend the hostel to anyone - was more like a hotel than hostel!
The only issue we had was finding it - it's only 10 mins walk from St Agnello station however there are no signs for it on any roads and we missed the turning for it. It seems simple to find when you know where it is though!
Overall a fantastic hostel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Nothing special but also nothing to complain about. Comfortable quiet room. Clean. Basic low cost meals and a bar available and a reasonable location for transport, supermarket etc within a ten minute walk.

Definitely value for money but don't expect too much.
The staff is young and very courteous.
The lift is very modern looking but not the most technologically advanced, you need to keep the button pressed at all time or it stops in the middle of the trip.
Breakfast buffet can definitely be improved.
Nice bar and lounge area
Parking nearby can be a challenge at times and will cost you 5 Euro in parking tickets that you can purchase at the machine at the end of the road (only until 24:00, it turns off automatically and turns on again only at 8:00 the day after)
I didn't eat there, but the food looked and smelled great
Bathroom is surprisingly big in relation to the size of the room
Overall very clean, great view from the terace and i will be back for sure
