The black man at the reception it's literally the most rude receptionist I've ever encountered, not only he was giving bossy orders but also was giving incorrect informations. The place was also quiet smelly and dirty, when I arrived I found above my bed a pack of used tissues. Rooms are very noisy as directly by street and train station, windows should be locked by key to avoid the noise but are not.

We did a last minute booking for a family with two kids under 5. They liked the playarea in the lobby and bunk beds. Other than that...everything kinda sucked. No parking, you have to make your own beds, slow service ( only 1 poor guy working...he was nice though stressed as he is also the waiter), super cramped rooms, water in shower was like a mist rather than a spray...we were thrilled to check out. However for the price i could see it appealing to solo or budget travelers. For me..not again unless desperate or wanting to save money.

Took about an hour to check in at arrival, due to 1 person handling checkins and serving guests. Had asked to stay in women-only dorm, but woke up to two men that had arrived in the middle of the night. Turned out they did have available women-only rooms that had been available all along, but for whatever reason they didn’t respect the request. They did however change my room the next , but for the rest of the stay I had issues with the key not functioning, which they helped me with, except for one of the last days of my stay when I encountered a very difficult employee who kept saying this wasn’t my room and that I hadn’t paid. Even after showing my receipt and proof of full payment, he was very difficult and kept asking why I was in a different room than first assigned. Other employees kept trying to tell him that everything was fine and that I was a guest and that they could see I had paid everything, but he didn’t want to listen to them and I had to spend nearly an hour at the front desk, after a long day and being very tired, trying to sort the issue out.

Very good value for money, walking distance from Graz city centre. Hostel staff gave us some recommendations to visit in the evening. Comfy beds. We were able to park for free down the street as on Saturdays there is no charge after 1pm.

Second stay at this hostel. Overall good, but they used to have lockable lockers in the room, which they’ve now removed, unfortunately. Hope they will bring these back. The windows didn’t have curtains either, making it difficult to sleep.

For a budget hotel this place is excellent. I booked a private room and it's perfectly clean, cozy enough and great bathroom. Just be prepared to make your own bed for this price of course

A perfectly lovely spot. Unfortunately a water main break occurred just prior to our arrival. We have been told that we will receive a full refund. I surely hope that is the case. If that had not happened we would have loved the space - simple and comfortable.

It is a very clean place with rooms that might be no-frills and minimalist (which is something that I actually like in hotels) but comfortable, bright and dust-free. All the things that you really need (shower, lighting, hangers, a table and stool and a good bed) are there and just work. The rooms and the entire building look like they have been refurbished as of recent.

My stay was perfect. I was one of the first customers after the Coronapocalypse closure, and hardly anyone was traveling, so I lucked out with the entire six-bed dorm to myself. Everything was super clean and the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Vielen Dank!

8min walking from Graz rail station (better the exit to old town even though A&O is located in the opposite side) and 20min to old town. No kitchen and even no kettle and microwave. Reception lacks experience but has ok attitude. Room is clean with separate toilet and shower rooms. If the team becomes experienced and kitchen is equipped, it will become a super good place.

I can only review the customer service as we did not get to stay at this hotel! I booked it by mistake and then found I could not get a refund. However, after writing to customer services they agreed in my exceptional circumstces that a refund would be issued. For that, I was extremely greatfull and award them 5 stars for the customer service.

Check in reception was saying if there is no linen in the bed then we need to pay to get the linen. In the six bed room only two beds had the linen and all the rest of them need to pay for linen. I was lucky and early to get the bed with linen and the others had to pay. Not good service at all.

This is your basic hostel. Everything is fairly new and in good condition. Nice multilingual staff. Conveniently located for bus and train travelers. Good transportation connections to old town Graz. Lots to see and do in Graz, a very lively little city. Fast free wifi. There were people of all ages staying here, from lots of students to families to seniors. See below for further comments.

Far better than expected. More like a hotel than a hostel. The room was fine, the staff friendly, and the hotel itself clean and tidy. The city centre is only a pleasant fifteen minute walk away.

Graz itself is a nice place, this hostel is not great though. The reception people were nice and friendly and the breakfast was decent . However it dont seem that the cleaners put too much effort in, the room floor was dusty, rubbish was left underneath and when i came to the room they had not changed the correct beds so it was not clear if it was taken or not. I would only stay here if you need to go on the train early or you are staying for 1 night.

I had to find accomodation for a 4 night stay in Graz for a conference. The Expedia listings gave me many hotels with costs for this stay ranging greatly. This hotel-hostel was at or near the bottom of the price range but I found it really adequate in all respects. While breakfst and wifi in the room were extra the cost was very reasonable. The lobby has coffee and cold drinks vending machines and a bar also selling snacks. There is also a small library here and you can rent bicycles. In the recreation area of the lobby is also a free wifi area and some internet monitors and and a phone and i.pad recharging facility. I like it that the people staying here include workers, students, hikers and other budget travellers. For me this is a more normal and welcoming place to stay than some multi-star hotel.
