I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, my experience did not meet the expectations set by the online reviews and photos. After driving 5.5 hours, I was hoping for a relaxing stay, but I was quite disappointed. First, the parking lot is not paved and has no lighting, which made dragging my luggage through gravel in the dark challenging. The photos online also didn’t accurately reflect the actual hotel. I opted for an "upgrade" and stayed in Cottage 1 but was immediately disappointed upon arrival. The walls were so thin that I could hear every footstep from the floor above, every toilet flush, and even conversations from guests in the nearby hot tub as if they were in the same room. I reserved the hot tub before arriving, but after using it, I could not get rid of the overwhelming chlorine smell, even after 3 showers. It became so bad that I couldn't sleep, compounded by the constant noise from the AC unit outside my room that went off every few minutes. I raised my concerns with the front desk, but they didn't seem particularly concerned. I received a text about someone coming to fix the toilet, which was not even the issue I reported. Ultimately, I decided to check out early and move to a different hotel, as this was far from the relaxing experience I had hoped for. While I appreciate that the GM reached out and refunded the upgrade, it felt like too little, too late.

A nice hotel with lots to see within a few minutes walk but overall, just a bit pricey for what you get. We paid $460 a night ($600 plus Cdn) for a nice stay, but simply not worth anything close to that. Service was excellent and room was good, but not great. Shower pressure was weak and very uncomfortable for anyone over about six feet.

Such a unique themed restaurant with inviting common spaces. We loved the Apres Only lounge area, as well as the multiple spaces by the fire. The interiors of our rooms were well decorated.

Easy and quick check in from friendly staff. Apres bar not open which was a shame but we found plenty of places to eat in area . Room clean but a bit hot and air con wasn’t the best . Overall a nice hotel and the reception / bar area decor was great and unique .

This Lodge was ok. Literally "just ok". The location is great and staffs are fine too. But, this place is definitely OVERPRICED. We paid almost $400 for the very small room. Plus, the Room is so small and you can definitely hear any noises from other people. We did not even have breakfast because it is a poor quality. And they charged me extra "Stowe marketing fee $2.75" next day.

Check in and check out was quick, easy and Lexi and was personable at check in and the woman at check out was very nice too (sorry I did not get her name). There are so many different areas to sit within the hotel to hang out and it has a very comfortable, homey feel. The fire pit was great to sit by. My only minor complaint was the bathroom door stuck and it was quite difficult to get out, but I’m sure an easy fix. The bar area was nice too, and they did have corn hole set up.

We stayed at Field Guide for 3 nights in Cottage Suite 2. It was a very pleasant weekend. We enjoyed the lounge with the games with the kids, the quiet surroundings and also the perfect location nearby lots of activities and restaurants. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Thx again for a very nice stay. Keep it up.

Honestly, another above and beyond experience! Aiden Pichette is a stellar example of personalized, friendly and professional service and represents the Field Lodge Values perfectly. It was such a good feeling to be genuinely remembered by Aiden ! We will be back soon ! Breakfast is still delicious! Rooms are warm and inviting with super comfy beds and the bathrooms are beautiful.

If your not packing a backpack this is not the hotel for you!! There is NO elevator to go to your room. I can definitely see this being a problem for many reasons in many families. Not to mention that the a/c didn't work in our room and I pulled my back out going down 6 flights of stairs with my luggage. This was at the beginning of my week trip. Just is something to9 think about.

Upon entering the hotel, Aiden greeted us and she has such amazing energy as well as a great sense of humor…she wore so many hats… she the concierge, the elevator (the couple ahead of us checking in asked where the elevator was and she said she was the elevator and helped them with their luggage), bartender, chef, and housekeeping..and possibly more. Also, the chia pudding at breakfast was absolutely fabulous and she told me how to make it which is currently in my fridge waiting for us to sample it when it’s ready! The rooms were so cute and clean. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend staying here! Definitely and 11 out of 10!

The room was advertised as a King Deluxe with a sitting area, the priciest room in the lodge. The room did not look what was on Expedia. I mentioned this to the manager and she blamed the fact that we booked on Expedia, whom she claimed uses misleading images. I strongly disagree. I asked to be switched to another room. She said we had the best option. The sitting area was very tiny, perhaps a small child could sit on the petit bench. We used it to charge our phones. In the photos, there is a couch... adult size. There was no closet to store our luggage or clothes. There was a hot tub outside our room, used by loud families and unsupervised children night and day. Therefore, we spent three days and nights in a dark room with the curtains drawn. No sunlight. The pool was green and not closed. The bar and restaurant was closed 2 of the three nights we were there. Strangers appeared on the patio of the lodge where we were eating lunch and changed their baby's diaper in front of us. We heard doors slamming all night, we could barely sleep. It was very stressful. Terrible vacation. We will not return.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Great vibe, lovely guest room. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom ultra clean and updated. The breakfast was quick and delicious. The staff were all warm and helpful. The only very minor complaint is that the walkway from the back parking lot to the lobby is very slippery when it rains. We saw a couple people slip and fall down. If it's dry, it's fine. I wouldn't let that keep me from coming back or recommending the Lodge.

Had a room with a great view; great location and the hotel has been nicely renovated. Recommend the Restaurants in walking distance and scenic walking area. Unfortunately, the pool was closed but we were able to use the pool at the Sister hotel next-door.

We wanted a hotel were we could stay put and thought we made a great choice…so much for that! Pool was green cloudy and closed, we were never told. The bar had no rum at all, no gin at all. We picked this hotel to stay and spend our two days and nights and just relax. What was described wasn’t offered. We have booked many times through hotels.com and have never been disappointed. We spent almost $1000 and for a very disappointing stay.

Outdoor pool was unusable due to the murkiness and uncleanliness of the water. We were looking forward to using the pool as the weather was fabulous but could not. We were told that the pool pump is too small; this should therefore not be advertised an amenity. The breakfast was average compared to last year and the bathroom was no bigger than what one finds on a cruise ship. Staff was super friendly and accommodating when they could.
