Main lodge is beautiful. Our room on the other hand was a king room in the single track building. Bed was very comfortable and pillows as well. Only one window in room and it faces the fire pit so had to keep my blind shut the whole time for privacy and it makes it feel like a prison room. The lighting in the room is awful. Two bright lights recessed in the ceiling were too much. Lights beside the bed are attached to the walls and facing outward so the bulbs shine in your face. A couple of regular lamps on each side of the bed would be better. There was a little room where the bathroom sink is to put all our mountain bike gear, which was nice. A mini fridge for drinks was handy. Bathroom shower and toilet were in own space and small, but nice shower and water pressure and hot water. And we got put next to a room with the noisiest, inconsiderate kids. They were outside yelling and screaming almost until 8 pm and going in and out of their room and slamming the door. Not the resorts fault more like the parents fault. But for advice to the resort if you have a couple staying here don’t put them in a room next to kids. Most couples want quiet and this was not. Overall a decent stay.

The room smells like a veterinary clinic (or mothballs?) and what the business thinks is a renovated room, is really just cheap veneer to an obvious dump.
The floors are cheap utility laminate. The bed is lumpy and (probably because the floors are old and not straight) it angles such that our heads were lower than our feet when lying down.
The bathroom tile floors must date back to 1980's or earlier. The shower is so close to the toilet that undoubtedly "spray" transfers easily from one to the other. The shower curtain is too long for the stall and drags across the floor and one can only imagine the filth, damp mold and bacteria that line the bottom (esp right next to toilet) which is clearly not washed or exchanged often enough by the cleaning staff. The shower rod is rusted metal, and the fan/light was so noisy it was more pleasant to use the bathroom in the dark.
The ceilings are low and the rooms are heated with drying electric baseboard heaters. The rest of the furniture is dated, and the tv is tiny. There are no USB charge ports and there is no coffee maker- just a hot water kettle.
At 300$ CAD per night this place is a disappointing rip off. I wouldn't be surprised if all "hotels" from the Bluebird line were deceptively advertised on the same manner.

The staff was wonderful upon check in, and very welcoming.
The room was small with little lighting, which work or reading a challenge.
I was uncomfortable with the lack of a cross-over deadbolt, traveling alone. Most hotels have this as extra security.
Also, the first towel I grabbed was dirty and stained.

Staying here for the weekend was very enjoyable. The rooms were clean and charming, the grounds were well kept, and there were amenities like a fire pit, pool, hot tub, as well as a lounge area, arcade and snack bar. The rooms and lounge look like they were recently updated and have a great northern/ wilderness touch. I would definitely stay here again! Also they were accommodating to our need to get into one of the rooms a little earlier than regular check in time! Thanks to that, we got to the wedding on time and looking good!!

All the reviews we read were totally accurate. the pool and hot tub are in desperate need of repair/update/removal of ickiness. the updates are fine, the common area was really nice and a great gathering space, the "arcade" and on site food was very MEH. The staff was sparse but pleasant when seen. The location is outstanding and the room are well set up. the cleaning under the beds was non existent but the sheets and bed bug bags on the bed were great.

Would recommend. Some staff very friendly, others not as friendly. Room was great , large and well equipped. We had a balcony but the chairs, which i know are ‘campy’ were not inviting. Did not use the spa area because there was so much else to do in the area. I’d recommend adding a day just to enjoy the facilities.

We loved our experience at Bluebird Cady Hill in Stowe! Overall, the staff was lovely and the area was beautiful. We loved the lounge atmosphere and the grilled cheese and tomato soup was 10 out of 10! The rooms were okay. There was no iron or ironing board provided (in room) which was definitely a negative for us. Andy when we borrowed the housekeepings iron it was basically broken. Otherwise a very positive and lovely experience.

Only downside was our room felt so small and dark. Plus there were no chairs or small table to spread out our stuff. Would definitely return but would choose a different room.

The clerk at check-in was very difficult to understand. I had to ask him to repeat constantly. Did not understand most of what was said. Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. We were in one of the outlying buildings. Quit small but fine for 1 night on our way through. The toilet/shower however was not fine. Very difficult to sit on the toilet because it was so close to the wall & the toilet paper roll. Shower was OK but a bit primitive. We would not book again.

Appreciate the property has been remodeled and updated instead of being torn down and rebuilt from scratch. The owners have created a charming spot to stay that has a variety of activities to enjoy.
One thought I had while walking the property was the groundskeeping team needs to pay a bit more attention to detailing the beds and grounds that have obviously been redone. Too many weeds might lead a person to think the tidiness of the rooms may be getting overlooked as well. Happily, that wasn’t the case in our room.
Shout out to the front desk for their willingness to store my freezer packs and two pints of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream for us! Appreciate your kindness. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely check out Bluebird/Lark Properties again.

I loved the room (got an upgrade to a room with a fireplace and a balcony which was spacious and cozy). It was raining daily - so it was nice to have a covered balcony. The only thing I didn't like were outside chairs which sit too close to the ground preventing from seeing beautiful surroundings (and not so easy to get up from). Otherwise everything was great, I enjoyed both inside and outside pools - clean and large. Will certainly stay in this hotel again.

The front desk staff didn't have much to say, as friendly as a wet noodle. Surprise charges appeared, and the a/c in the room was not working well, and the front window was painted shut. Told the front desk upon checkout and the gent with the earbuds in his ear didn't seem to care or know what to say.

Loved the texts from the staff. Was able to text them any questions with immediate answers. The great room was beautiful, our kids loved the arcade and my husband and I could sit in the great room and have our coffee and a little peace. The grounds are beautiful and the indoor pool meant we could still have fun as a family despite the rainy weather. Thank you for everything!
