This is a wonderful place right outside Sequoia National Park, like literally a mile away. New. Updated. Well kept. Hosts were super responsive. We would highly recommend!

This property is exactly what I was looking for when I decided to take my wife to see the Sequoias.
I was lucky enough to have visited the park previously and when I started trying to plan our first vacation in way too long, I knew that I wanted to include the park at the start.
The unit was exactly as advertised. I know you're probably thinking 'well it should be', and while I agree, I also travel for work almost 5 months out of the year and I can assure you that this is not always the case. The pictures you see are recent and the descriptions accurate, but they really don't do the place justice if for nothing else but being able to hear the river flow while watching the birds wake up
The hosts were super helpful and communicated way better than I did or do. This made the process for getting to the property and checking in and out a breeze. They even sent a list of nearby places to eat, shop and explore that was truly invaluable. It made it seem like I had really planned every detail but all I did was book the room. Thanks for that!
The room was very comfortable for the both of us, has everything that you could want and the location is probably the best in 3 Rivers. I would definitely recommend this place and especially the hosts to anyone looking to stay near SNP. Even though the wife suffers from a bit of altitude sickness when we get to higher elevations, she agreed to come back one day.

My husband and I both agree that these two are the most thoughtful hosts that we have every dealt with. They were communicative, provided great info on the area, provided snacks, two bottles of water, oatmeal, coffee, and tea. The suite was beautifully decorated and was clean. The suite had a wonderful AC unit and even a electric fireplace. One thing to note is that the mattress is very firm, so if you are side sleepers, make sure to be prepared. However, we would definitely stay here again!

We loved it here. Just a 2 minute drive down the road and you are in the national park. Nice and quiet area and a nice little cabin. Thanks!

Will stay again if we are ever back in the area.

Lori and John's place was perfect for our quick mountain getaway. Super easy access to the park and to town. The space was just right for my wife and me to enjoy a few nights in the area. The coffee and snacks provided were an added bonus. Communication with Lori was great, and we had no concerns or issues while in town. Would definitely recommend to any couple looking for a nice place to stay after exploring the giants.

The Ash mountain suite is a beautifully appointed oasis with a spectacular view of the mountains. The water feature and native birds at the feeders were the only sounds. Much needed after a day in Sequoia. Morning coffee outside was terrific. So sorry we could only stay one night!

We stayed for 2 nights at the Ash Mountain Suite. It is right off the main road that goes into Sequoia National Park from Three Rivers. Very clean and nicely kept. Host was very easy to reach for questions. The view from the room was gorgeous! There were birds at the bird feeders! Awesome place to relax after a long day of hiking in the park.

We recently stayed at Rose Retreat (Ash Mountain) in Three Rivers, CA, for our trip to Sequoia National Park, and it was absolutely perfect for our stay. Lori and John were fantastic hosts, keeping us informed about the road closure within the park, which had little impact on our trip thanks to their thoughtful updates.
Upon arrival, we found the cottage spotless, cozy, and welcoming. The snack basket was a delightful touch! The location was ideal, being so close to the park entrance and our favorite little eating place, Totem Market. Don't overlook this gem during your stay—their sandwiches and burgers are so good!
Each morning and evening, we were visited by charming California Quail, and we even had a few turkeys gobble by. From the comfy bed to the inviting shower, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Rose Retreat to anyone visiting the area.

Excellent!!!
Our hosts tried to think of everything to make our stay comfortable. Microwave, refrigerator, a basket of snacks, dishes, and coffee and tea,
We were surprised by the quality of the place.
The workmanship that was put into buildin was 5 star. It is located in a great area on the side of a hill with a nice view of the mountain across the canyon.
I would highly recommend this place!!!

We loved the secludedness yet the closeness to the road leading up to the entrance of the Sequoia National Park. My husband and I enjoyed the easiness of checking in, entering/leaving the property. We enjoyed the heaters, (essential for the winter chill), restroom, showers, cleanliness of the cabin, the free snacks! (Thank you!) and the space. All of our needs were addressed even before we arrived. It was beautiful clean, cozy and quiet enough to spend time together. We also took the suggestion of eating at the Getaway Restaurant up the street, the food was excellent. Highly recommend!

I loved this VRBO rental! It is the perfect size for a couple or single traveler like me. Feels large, cozy, modern, and like a retreat all unto itself. Just like the pictures it is beautifully decorated. All towels, linens, wash cloths, etc. Of high quality and super soft.
The owner has made a beautiful retreat for you to relax, sleep well, and be refreshed to enjoy the nearby Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks or just enjoy nature and the views right out side your front door.
I spent alot of time watching the birds and 2 different woodoeckers from the porch. Owners have supplied everything you need to grill, to picnic outside, or just sit in a comfy chair and read. The landscape is also expertly tended to and every detail thought of to make you feel at home and relaxed. I loved the water feature trickling as I sat on the porch as well. The south Sequoia entrance is literally like a mile up the road.
A few places to eat close by and a very easy drive south to Visalia if you want a bigger city for more restaurant choices.
FYI, the little market grocery down the road smokes meat, ribs, beef, bbq, etc and it was very well done. Plus they have all the grocery essentials you could possibly need.
Dont hesitate to book this gem on the mountainside! Matter of fact, book an extra night or two just to enjoy it as a destination in and of itself.
On my list to return!

Very cute place. Well thought out by the owner. I’m not a fan of the bed, but if you like very firm beds this is a little slice of heaven! I wouldn’t say it’s a deal breaker but the bed is just too hard for me and way too high. Otherwise this place is perfection!

Perfect spot to recharge our batteries. Excellent facilities. Washer/dryer would have been appreciated. We are 6 weeks into a 2 month holiday.
Lovely views.. Enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders 😊

What a wonderful gem of a rental we found here! The Ash Mountain suite is within a mile of the main entrance to Sequoia NP, which was great. From the front porch you can listen to the Kaweah River flow by; a very relaxing sound. The room was well appointed, very clean and fresh. The bath towels were nicely textured and very absorbent. Water in the fridge and a basket of snacks and goodies greeted our arrival. The Wi-fi service was good and kept us connected. Certainly, enjoyed seeing the birds at the feeder along with the California Quail that scampered about the property. We'd recommend meals at the Gateway Restaurant just up the street. Portions were large and the food was good. We'd definitely stay here again on a return trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Property is amazing, tv didn't work, probably the remote control needs new batteries, in the description of the Property said one minute walking to the river, but is not true, there is no way to acces to the river, that was the main reason why we rent the cabin, but i was so upset and frustrated cause we drove around looking to enjoy the river, but everywhere is private property. I feel like i was scammed, we wasted half afternoon looking to get in to the river. Property is pristine i even got a nice note from the owner. But we had no river experience.

This rental was wonderful; it was quiet, cozy, comfortable, and very convenient to the south entrance to Sequoia National Park. The space inside is new and modern, and nicely decorated. We also loved to sit outside and watch the birds, listen to the river, and view the mountains. On our last morning, we were visited by 3 of the town's resident wild turkeys- right by the entry door. The owners were very easy to work with, and answered very quickly any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I booked this cute place on a whim when our reservation for a cabin within the park was cancelled due to damage from winter storms. It turned out to be just perfect for the two of us. It was so cute and clean. We wish we would have had more time here. The view was lovely and we enjoyed the list of nearby restaurants and attractions provided.
