Superb

Beautiful buildings in beautiful peaceful location. Spotless and tastefully furnished room. Pleasant 10 minute walk from station so only 30 minutes from Neuchâtel in total by public transport

Had to leave early for long hike so had to skip breakfast. Staff kindly gave us sandwiches to take, but a kettle/coffee machine for guests' use would be nice

We hiked to Maison de la Truite via the Gorge de l'areuse. Had some of the most stunning trout ever!

Nice breakfast with some lovely fresh brown bread - local.

Great place, simple and very tasty food, beautiful nature.

Superb

Great boutique hotel very close to the "Gorge de l'Areuse" and "Creux du Van" at a very quiet location. Nice historic building with very recent renovations, including a gourmet restaurant. Strongly recommended

Perfect.

Perfect location surrounded by wooded mountain sides, though the river was quite noisy. Excellent breakfast - possibly the first time I have really enjoyed eating a continental breakfast, but that also has something to do with the relaxed atmosphere and the surroundings.

Difficult for English speaking travellers. It is in French speaking Switzerland, and very little English spoken, and surprisingly not so much German either.

The location is remote and beautiful. The breakfast was lovely.

The manager was clearly drunk. It took a lot of effort to get him to understand that we needed to pay the evening before our departure because we were leaving at 06:15 for an event. He was rather rude and consistently interrupted our attempts at French, apparently speaking no English or German. We stayed in the studio apartment, which was quite tiny and quite expensive for four people.

Very clean, cosy, comfortable hotel, with stylish, authentic elements, friendly, welcoming staff, good breakfast, reasonable price, surrounded marvelous nature, just next to the river and forest, easy parking. Highly recommended.

The room was rather chilly and there was no heating in the bathroom.

We loved it so much, and we will definitely go back there for another holiday.

Fresh fruit, cheeses and lovely croissants for breakfast. Services was impeccable and food was excellent! The hiking in the area is amazing! Highly recommend this hotel!

Could not change anything to make it better, to be honest. It was perfect!

Relaxing weekender

Gorgeous location, nice restaurant (dinner and breakfast), friendly service, nice renovation of an old building, modern clean bathroom. We could pay for everything in one bill at departure.

Room furnishing was a bit sparse (eg. no coffee/tea).

A place to be for excellent food, sleep and nature!

This magnificent hotel is hidden like a real treasure should be hidden. The service of both Giovanni (evening) and Sebastiano (morning) was exceptional. the food was excellent. First time ever in over 50 years that I had several trout preparations without the annoying bones of the fish. There must be a secret behind this as well on how they prepare them. The location was exceptionally lovely, alongside the little river. Congrats to the chef in the kitchen!

Too bad the river water was too clean to allow natural trout here. Is this an example of the fact that environmental policy does not mean to disinfect the world in such a way that it does no longer allow the natural species to grow in their natural habitat?

the host was very kind and the food was excellent. We arrived after a long day hikking in April - unfortunately it was a bit cold in the room when we arrived. Other than that: perfect location!
