Important to know: the hotel is next door to an In-n-Out Burger, which makes it a bit busy to get in. Moreover, if this will bother you, it’s across the street from a cemetery, but that makes it quiet on one side, at least. We just wanted an inexpensive, decent place to shower and sleep and this did fit the bill. The pool and spa looked very inviting, but we were exhausted. Our shower/tub faucet would not shut off (we told the front desk upon checkout) and there was a huge, dead palmetto bug inside the bathroom light/blower (forget to tell the front desk that), but those were my only complaints. Yes, the property is old with some cosmetic blemishes; however, it was decent.

Good stay but ac not working

Hottub was just the right temperature to get the job done. The room was older, but clean, and I was able to get a decent nights sleep. In fact, it was comfortable enough for me to have trouble getting out of bed.

The hot tub was the perfect temperature.

The landscaping was beautiful. The pool was nice. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The beds had burn holes in the blankets and stained pillows and bedding. Pealing paint and ill repaired drywall and doors. You could see daylight through the edges of the door. Dirty walls, floor-boards. Missing tv remote, called office and they said look behind the dresser. Found the remote and it barely worked on the tv for the few selected cable channels available. Beds felt like sleeping on a creaky, wooden box. Pillows felt flat as soon as you laid your head on them and did not bounce back up after sitting all day! The room was freezing and the "thermostat" was turned up to heat and it never got warm in the 2 days we were there. Iron burns and stains on the ironing board. Dusty/dirty appliances. Cruppled tissues pushed back into the tissue box. The shower head was not placed for taller people and bad water pressure. Dirty vents. Unable to add photos sorry.

Check in was great. The lady was super nice. Got to the room and it’s soooo out dated. The floors are that fake wood and they are lifting to where you have to wear shoes or it hurts. The bathroom was not cleaned. Their was hair in the shower and the towels were stained. The bed are like bricks and so loud to where you can’t even move with out it being so loud. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors taking a shower. The pipes are so loud.

Friendly fast check-in. Clean room, nice comfortable bed with crisp bedding. Micro, fridge & coffee maker in room. Large clean pool and pool area, with plenty of comfortable loungers, some are padded wicker. Also, tables and chairs in pool area.
Loads of your regularly eating places all with in really close distance, 3 or 4 are only minutes walk.
A reall nice good value hotel... would highly recommend as a central base from Oceanside to Santa Monica 👌👍👏

It was a great stay

Room was nice sized. No control for the AC, only an on/off switch. Upon check in I had to pay a $50 (supposedly refundable) deposit and then was charged for the stay before getting keys or room number. Was not aware of this (still haven’t been refunded $50 deposit). Woman working the front desk wasn’t very fond of talking so my questions were met with a smile and a nod. Pool and hot tub area looked nice, we never used it but it was nice to see. My husband found hair in the shower before using it. TV was tiny, large fridge for a hotel room, microwave was low power so the few things that we needed to use it for took longer (nbd), floors were nice except a piece chipped off during our stay, lights next to the bed still had plastic wrap on them (complete with sticker that read to remove plastic wrap before use because it’s probably a fire hazard). Just few things. We just needed a place to keep our stuff and rest between activities around town. I think I would stay elsewhere next time.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at, very dirty, the rooms smell a lot of marijuana and the showers don't have hot water. I went to complain at reception because the water was cold, they said it's a problem that this hotel has with the water never being hot. I had to bathe my baby in cold water. I don't recommend it to anyone....

I picked this place due to reviews scoring a 7 on average with all combined. (I wish I knew which room the good reviews were about) I’ve stayed at 5 star rating according to reviews that were better than this one. Yes, it’s a very old property it seems, however old can still be good IF kept up properly. The beds were TERRIBLE! They were lumpy & as you sat or laid, it felt kind of like a water bed. I have many spinal conditions, I got no sleep on this terrible old mattress. The boiler broke & there was NO HOT water, yet was given no discount, as I’d presume that’s considerate & appropriate for such an inconvenience. Plus there was roaches. So if you have any food they will come out at night to eat it then hitch a ride in your suitcase, then you have a very quick infestation problem. The AC kept room sticky, humid. Unfortunately, I now get sick if I am not kept cool, I will throw up & feel like passing out. For $30 more, I couldn’t stayed at Marriott however, the one available was too far from my destination. Customer service is also considering treating your customers in a way that helps your business, not keep them away. We were not taken care of for the price I paid. I didn’t appreciate not being rested for a long day I had ahead of me.

The management are horrible people

This room checked off nearly all the boxes of what I look for in motel accommodations, with the only exception being that the plug in the tub does not seal so it's shower only, no soaking as I like to do. Also, no grab bars in the shower poses a risk for us older folks. Everything else is quite perfect for my needs.

It was good my daughters felt a little on safe with a lady yelling upstairs and shouting profanity.... They did switch or room right away because it had no air ... Staff was so nice ... Lil girl with the blond hair didn't know her name but she was amazing and sweet ... Thank you we will be back

the room was a little sketchy. the lock was ripped off the door and the faucet in the shower wouldn’t turn off, it had a bit of water running out the entire time we stayed here. it wasn’t super clean but wasn’t dirty, just looks like an old janky motel.

The AC was very cold and it didn’t warm up. The water was cold there wasn’t a lot of hot water. The heater AC unit sucks here some rooms stay freezing cold others warm or hot. They need to improve the AC units. Other then that this place is great!

The water doesn't run in shower. Water coming from top and bottom. Very dirty everywhere we looked. Had to remove night stand and it was very filthy. Homeless and drug addicts walk through the property. As soon as I parked and got off my car there was throw up on the floor. The trash cans were full and the kind of people staying at hotel (more like a motel) were not decent looking. I regret not paying a little more to stay at a good place but I got mislead by the nice looking pictures they show on line. Nothing like it! Save your noney go somewhere else. The only good thing was the manager's attitude. Indian guy in probably his late 50's.

This had to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. You get what you pay for I guess. The room was non smoking but smelled HORRIFICALLY like smoke. I had to air out the room with the AC on and the door open. I noticed an ant infestation in my room on the bathroom counter, coming out of the broken cracks in the wall. I went to the desk and asked them to spray but the problem continued, and I also discovered other bugs crawling over my bed. The sheets were not clean, and had yellow stains. The bedding below the sheets was so shredded it wouldn’t even stay on the bed. There was a phone in the room but it had NO CORD and was covered in some red and purple sticky substance. The walls were filthy and looked like they just painted over all of the issues. Do not stay here, it is not worth the cheap rate. I have submitted a claim with Expedia for a refund and will update my review as that happens.

I work in housekeeping in Vegas, so I got there and started checking. Sheets were not changed on both beds, bath tub had hair, the floor had dirt. Had to ask for sheets to change them myself.

Was going to a musoc gig at the observatory with my wife so we stayed a couple nights. Checking in was a breeze and only a 50$ deposit either cash or card. Room was pretty beat up tiny table with a broken ass chair and smelt like cigs and burn marks on the toilet. Bed mayress was springy as hell but we were expecting all that at a vagabond. Sketchy lookin tweekers yelling at all hours of the night. But whatever. We just got drunk and played some tunes in our room. The pool was nice.

We only checked in to leave our bags, attend the oc fair and when we came back no one wanted to stay due to roaches and ants in the rooms. It was so dirty looks like they were in a rush to clean the room. We checked out that same night and left to another hotel.

It's still a good property for the price. Cleaning staff does its job not enough. Also strong smell can bother you a lot. Pool area is good but start working later morning. So, you cannot refresh you from the morning.
BUT Reception staff is very helpful. We appreciated her for the great assistance. Thank you

The outside was clean and decent but the rooms were not. I had my own pillows and blankets thank god. The pillows were stained,The floor was extremely dirty but you get what you pay for and unfortunately they need to work on cleaning and updating the property. The people who worked there were really nice at least.

Needs to be up graded and pic dont defind when you get to the place and it says all rooms r smoke free not true. Has bugs. Probably wont stay there again. If im desperate.

My room had a strong urine smell. People actually live on the premises. The establishment should either do long term rentals or overnight but not both.

Strange order all day
