The included breakfast every morning was made to order and was very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel was in a great location within a couple blocks of the Gran Plaza and Parque Santa Lucia. Within walking distance of so many wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, and bars.

The hotel is authentic, conveniently located near the Centro and very pleasant. The AC in the room worked great, the WiFi was fast and the free breakfasts were delicious. The service was also very good. If you have a car, free parking is conveniently located across the street in a secured lot. Hotel staff has to unlock the gate each time for entry and exit but the process was efficient and quick. The price point was good for this property. I would stay again.

The hotel is in a beautiful traditional old house. The staff were super kind. But it needs maintenance; we booked two rooms for a night, and one of them had an old bathroom that didn´t look so clean. The other room let rain come in and wet the floor.

Bed sheets were dirty with stains, asked for new ones and no one was available to change them. Had to change them myself, noticed the entire bed was full of hairs and more stains! Restroom wouldn’t flush, and mosquitos all around in the bedroom.

The room was disgusting. It smelled very TERRIBLE (like sewage). Staff was a dissaster; they didn't give me options (maybe to stay in another hotel from same chain, Kavia). We were forced to leave the hotel at almost 11 pm and needed to pay for 2 rooms in a Marriott. PLEASE DON'T GO TO THAT HOTEL!

If you like cheap old hotels this is the place for you. We reserved two rooms, the ac didn't work in one of them and they didn't switch us room until the next day. That same night they rented the same room to a different family and of course they complained too and the hotel employees didn't do anything about it. Also if you love mosquitoes this is also a great place for you, since mosquitoes get in to the rooms all night somehow. Also super loud since the rooms have no insulation. Employees slamming doors and things right outside your room at all hours of the morning seems to be a daily thing. Super awesome if you have a baby trying to sleep. Oh and if you like flies all over your beast, you're in luck! They keep everything out in the open with flies all over it. Must be a culinary thing down here. Honestly this hotel is awful if you're used to good hotels. If you're cheap and like it cheap and crappy this is it - look no further.

We stayed at Real Toledo over our summer vacation. The greatest treasure Merida has is its people. This is clearly reflected by the staff there. Israel is genuinely invested in helping visitors have a wonderful experience in Merida! This makes up for the small things that may have been lacking. I hope that travelers can find the value in the kind and attentive people of Merida that like Israel want you to leave with a great Yucatecan memory and plan on returning soon just to experience their hospitality again. Mil Gracias!!

Rooms were very clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. Water has plentiful and hot. Beds were comfortable. The included breakfast was good, but since it was it was made to order often took some time. Staff knew about the city and provided useful information, including printing maps, where appropriate. Very convenient location made it easy to walk to most areas of downtown. Only complaint was pool looked cloudy and not the cleanest, so we didn't use it despite the heat.

The property is nice, the beds comfortable enough, the location is fantastic. Lacks a little bit of service, for example, a bell boy to help with luggage. I had to carry 6 suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. The breakfast good and quick

Lovely colonial hotel in the centre of Merida with nice flair and great atmosphere Had a top floor room which was very quiet. (no lift, but you can request ground floor rooms) which was very spacious, had a kitchen and nice bath room. Very comfortable bed. Freshly cooked to order Mexican Breakfast, coffee, tea, juice and some fruit. Lovely small pool, great to chill a bit after a day of sightseeing. The front desk staff was really great and helpful. The hotel has some secure parking available (maybe 50 meters away). Walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants, not far from cathedral. Overall a great place to stay for a couple of days if you plan exploring Merida area. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was so small and at the end of the property, needs maintainance and cleaning. The stairs was dirty and also the little pool. The amability of the people and breakfast were great. I would rather choose other better options for the same price.

Fabulous central location for this beautiful courtyard palatial property. Our room was just to the right of the reception and was massive. Israel at the reception was most helpful and polite. We were able to park our rental car at a secure car park across the road. Breakfast was adequate. Nice made to order eggs, and help yourself toast and coffee. Fruit plate was a bit sparse, but the rest was enjoyable.

We missed our first night due to a flight delay and missed connection, and the hotel started painting our original room. This was a bit frustrating since I had notified the hotel that we were still coming via the app and they assured me the room was held since we pre-paid. Luckily, we got an upgraded room so it worked out in our favor (provided the travel insurance reimburses us for the first night). The room was huge, the bed was comfy. Pillows were a little robust for our taste. Shower was lovely, water was hot enough, towels and soaps (but no wash cloth) were provided. Once we picked up the rental car, parking was right across the street and very easy. The free breakfast was delicious, the pool looked delightful though we didn't have time to use it. A very nice stay overall. Would stay again!

Room was quite dirty when arrived, particularly the floors. Had to ask to get it properly cleaned. Rooms are not very well sound proofed. Wouldn't be a problem if staff weren't so noisy very early in the morning. Noise from the street was not an issue but staff noise from 5/6 a.m. was an issue. Staff were generally nice. Pool was small but clean. The place is nice but lower level rooms are a bit old.

The rooms look tired and need a fresh coat of paint. The rooms on the first level near pool and breakfast area are noisy. The room was too small and needed an extra counter space. The bathroom was clean but the shower had no water pressure and there’s no room for a towel in the bathroom! Avoid room 106 and 107 if possible.

The Hotel Real Toledo is a wonderful hotel . It is centrally located in the heart of Merida. Most places can be accessed by foot. This colonial hotel has a lovely courtyard with pool. Great after a hot day of site seeing. We loved that they changed the linen daily. A good breakfast with many choices to start your day. The staf is very accommodating and helpful. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great property and central. Room was large. Only small complaint which is minimal is that the room only had one mirror and it was in the bathroom. Would be great to have mirror in the room and also some art.
