Fall back onto the sofa and nestle among the plump cushions with a good book until you feel ready to explore your surroundings. Begin with a trip to the Carmo Convent, just a short walk away, then make your way down to Rua Augusta for a spot of shopping. Watch the boats pootle along the Tagus River from Praça do Comércio or mosey over to Alfama for its rabbit warren of becos lined with no-nonsense eateries. Grab a table at the Portas do Sol viewpoint come sunset for glorious pastel skies above shambling terracotta rooftops. Home truths: *Your host may be able to arrange a parking space upon request. *At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living space. *This home is in a central spot, so noise is to be expected . *The single beds in the second bedroom can be pushed together to make a double upon request. *Your host can provide a cot and high chair upon request. *Please note, bedroom access depends on how many people will be staying at the apartment – if you’re staying as a couple, the second bedroom will be locked. *Check-in is via key box, please ask your host about this.
