Good for a one night stay while passing through.

The staff were great, helpful. They are the ones that boosted my ratings up. I liked the secure space to lock away small valuables under the bed. The bed sheets were clean, mattress clean, which is what really matters to me. The towels however generally weren’t. The towel I got the second time I stayed was clean but the first one had some kind of weird stuff/stains on it, and the hand towels in the bathroom were not. I avoided using them just in case. I liked this place because it was one of the cheapest available I could find which was above 8 star review and I’m trying to stretch out my travels. Very ok for one quick overnight stay.

Pretty basic. 0 social vibes. The dorm room had a lock on the inside that I used when I went to sleep, but during the day I couldn’t lock the room, and had to leave my big bag unsecured. Open air space outside the rooms, and I mean outside space. The kitchen area which was also outside, was also very basic, no microwave - the hostel kinda had camping vibes. I was hoping to do porridge for breakfast but it seemed maybe too hard at a glance. If they did the kitchen up, it might make it more inviting for people to stay longer than a quick night.

Excelente

El anfitrión y su hija son súper amables y siempre atentos, estuvimos la noche de fin de año y estuvo más que excelente conviviendo con los demás huéspedes y su familia. El hostal queda súper cerca del Lago como a 7 minutos caminando aproximadamente. También tiene muchas tiendas cercanas.

All we needed for a 1 night stay

Very basic twin room, clean shared bathroom, lovely lady who greeted us.

Very basic- thin curtains so had to be careful when changing as room backed onto Main Street.

Great for a short stay.

Less than 10mins walk from shuttle bus drop-off and Panajachel wharf. Close to main tourist strip with lots of restaurants, cafes, shop and tourist agencies. Located in a shared pedestrian and motorcycles/tuk-tuk laneway. But still quiet and safe. Our room is pretty basic with a comfortable bed, small shelf and a table. Shower and toilets are cleaned. Hot shower with good pressure. A stool is available to put your stuff. Drinking water provided in basic kitchen. Will stay here again if passing through.

There wasn't many hooks to hang stuff in the room or shower. There is no fly screen on the windows. A pedestal fan would be good on a hot day.

Staff friendly when you can get hold of them! For the price, great to get your own private room.

Staff not around much. Another guest let me in and I had to find my room on my own. Facilities quite basic, and communal area not very inviting (there's building works). Curtains /windows don't keep the light or noise out

Don't let this place deceive you!

When I arrived at the property, I was quoted a different price than advertised on Booking, then I was told that I could not pay by credit card even though it was clearly stated that this property excepts payment by cc. I informed the man working there that I could only pay by credit card, and he asked me to leave the property and find new lodging.

Very simple but we liked it

Ok the room was very simple, the bed was just ok but still we slept so good. Didn't need AC or fan at night. Met some nice people there too, easy to meet people. Owner and the people working there are lovely and we could stay and hour after check out, no stress. Bathrooms were clean!

It's noisy, like you hear the other guests talking, floor felt a little bit dirty. We got used to it after the first night and didn't mind.

Hostel was in a good location in Panajachel. Basic kitchen facilities available. Helpful and friendly owner. No reception or staff at the hostel, message to check in. David was a very good host and messaged us to see how our stay was going.

Not enough chairs in the courtyard for everyone and would be nice if there was a table and chairs for meals.

The private room was nice, small but nice. Quite minimal but I don't think you need anything more. David was super lovely and accommodating, always there if you need anything. There are cooking facilities, again basic but depends on what kind of stay you are looking for.

The back looks a bit like a building site but again not really a problem for me. The pictures show true. Nothing wrong with the place or the stay but I would say its a little pricey for what you get. Would have been nice to have a communal table or somewhere to eat etc

No frills but really affordable and the owner was sweet.

Cheap! Literally a bed in a room but was fine for a quick stay.

The shower doesn’t look very safe with duct tape around exposed wires. The door into the property courtyard is a little tricky / sticky so make sure they show you how to get it open.

Good value hostel

The hostel is located right near the main street, but in a nice quiet alley. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. There were 2 toilets and shower cubicles for the hostel which is small so you never have to wait! The staff were welcoming and friendly. It has a very basic kitchenette but it was enough to prepare what we needed as well as free drinking water. Had good stable WiFi. Would stay here again.

More tables and chairs in the courtyard would be nice.

perfect

the host Angel is so friendly and helpful, he made us feel very welcome. The showers and toilets are super clean and the bed was so comfortable Everything is pretty basic but we needed to get away somewhere quiet and chill out for a few days and this was exactly what we got here. Very close to Calle Santander which has lots of shops and restaurants

Friendly and helpful owner manager. Facilities are basic but comfortable practical and useful. Fridge freezer free water cooking facilities and pans drying line all provided. Great location. Great value for money

This property is very minimal but the price tag reflects that. Great place to crash for a night!

- The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help us find the hostal as well as split payment between 3 people - The bed was extremely comfortable - Nice and quite for sleeping - Close to all bars/restaurants/ shops in Panajachel

- Rooms could use nightstands, towel hooks, lamps, and window screens - It is an extremely barebones property - Some art on the walls would also be a nice touch

Worked out well for my very short stay.

The owner was very accomodating and friendly. We arrived in the middle of the night but he still came to theproperty and greeted us and let us in. This is a budget hostel with private rooms, ideal for a short stay in Pana.

There was only a bed in the room, nothing else at all.
