Upscale furnishings in the living room and bedrooms, internet friendly and free long distance, air conditioning even though at elevations like this it is rarely needed and as they say much, much more!! Plus you are guaranteed not to forget the 100-mile view any time soon!
This dog friendly three-bedroom, 2 and a half bathroom log cabin comfortably sleeps up to eight. There is a gas grill as well as a hot tub on the deck. The large deck space includes table, chairs and picnic table. The great room with flat screen TV is very open including both dining area and kitchen.
Despite the open, spacious floor plan, accented with many windows, you will definitely enjoy the cozy feel of this cabin. The loft provides a reading corner or bonus television and sleeper sofa for the night owl in your group. The two bedrooms upstairs feature a Queen bedroom and a second bedroom with a bunk bed combination of Queen and twin top bunk. The master is neatly tucked away on the main floor. This suite style King bedroom with TV includes a private bath and exit to the deck.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
-This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs under 50lbs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

This was our second visit and we loved it! The property manager was very informative and warned us about the road that had been affected by Tropical Storm Nicole before we headed up, which we appreciated. The county fixed the road fairly quickly. The view is breathtaking and the hot tub was a welcome retreat after full days of hiking. The bed in the master suite is wonderful, a perfect balance of firm and plush. Everything here is well thought out and just relaxing from the moment we arrived.

Mountain Masterpeace is a WONDERFUL property and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, rustic, tastefully decorated cabin in the mountains. We arrived to find the house immaculately clean and in perfect condition. The kitchen is well equipped with high end appliances and the entire house is furnished comfortably.......very nice mattresses on all the beds. We enjoyed watching movies in the evenings on the BIG flat screen tv in the living room in front of a cozy fire. The fireplace is great! The wraparound deck/porch is huge with multiple seating areas to enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. Wonderful big hot tub on the deck off the primary bedroom suite for long soaks while admiring the views. We often had four adults in the hot tub, but it would comfortably hold 6. All in all we enjoyed every minute of our 9 day stay at Mountain Masterpeace and would enthusiastically recommend it to everyone. You won't be disappointed!

This place has a gorgeous view looking from the backside. I love the large wrap around porch and swings! The hot tub was perfect and in a great location, just steps outside of the master bedroom. We wished the grill was in the back overlooking the fantastic view but having the grill was nice in general. The house it up a steep gravel driveway so be prepared. Coyotes would howl a lot nearby. Overall this place was wonderful experience and a relaxing time.

The house is very clean, well maintained and stocked with everything you need. The view is amazing! My biggest disappointment was the location. It takes 20 minutes to get to Valle Crucis and you have to pick up and drop off the keys there. Also, this property charges a $75 VRBO fee, but property management is handled by a property rental company which I found a little frustrating to deal with. If you don't mind being in a remote location this cabin is an excellent choice. However, if you want to be able to quickly get to dining, shopping or outdoor activities, this might not be the right fit.

Our only issue was that we wished we would have booked it for longer. It’s great!! The property management is so friendly and so helpful. The cabin is gorgeous and perfect for a mountain getaway. It’s about a 30 minute drive to Beech Mountain. We will definitely be back to this cabin when we are in the area! We did have to drive 20 min out of the way to pick up/drop off the keys. If they had a lock box at the property that would be ideal! Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

The staff at Valle Crucis Log Cabin Rentals are amazing! They go out of their way to be sure you are happy and well taken care of. This is our third visit to Mountain Masterpiece. The description given is on point, but no words can describe what it is actually like to experience this setting. If you are looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, Mountain Masterpiece is perfect. We explored the surrounding areas during the day (although it is hard to leave the view from the wrap around porch ), built fires, played games and cooked in the well equipped kitchen every night. I would definitely recommend this cabin and Valle Crusis Log Cabin Rentals to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the mountains. My family plans to make this an annual destination!

Very nice, shower leaked from upstairs into kitchen ceiling. Maintenance came out at end of day, also let him know to operate the dryer you had to use channel locks to change it. (Worked ok but killed my RA in my hands 😊. We donated a baby gate for future families to use at bottom of stairs so they don't have to worry about a young child running upstairs. Overall loved it.

The cabin was spectacular. Cozy and comfortable with a great view and plenty of seating inside and out. The porch swing was a added bonus. The cabin was decorated beautifully for Christmas. It felt very homey and we enjoyed every minute. We will definitely return next year.

Location somewhat remote and takes 15 minutes to reach paved road and at least a half hour to get to any shopping, dining or recreation other than hiking which is right at your door. Minor gripe is that you need to bring your own soap, paper towels, laundry detergent, decent (not plastic) barware and a ridiculous lack of clothes hangers for such a well designed house. Property manager of little help. Great golf in area, as well as hiking and fishing. Aside from the remote location this is a great mountain getaway place.

We loved Mountain MasterPeace. The cabin was beautiful and the view was mesmerizing. While the cabin was pretty far out of town, the roads were good and easy to negotiate. The cabin rental agency was great to work with and very helpful.
I did wish that we didn’t have to go to their office to pick up and return keys as it was a bit out of our way both times.
We would love to come back again one day. Thank You.
