The Poconos isn't just for large groups! It's time to bring LOVE back to Lake Harmony! Perfect for just the two of you or add a few more friends or family with plenty of room to spare. Vaulted tongue and groove ceilings in the living area along with floor to ceiling windows on the front of the house will put you right in vacation mode. One of the best front porches In the neighborhood will give you a great spot to smoke a stogie, sip a cocktail, and reconnect. We’ve met all of our neighbors via the front porch, it’s our favorite spot!
The house has 2 deceptively large areas:
Living Space: The front of the home holds the Living room and kitchen. Two sofas provide seating for 5, bookshelves stocked with books, magazines, games and record player for your enjoyment. A Smart TV over the gas fireplace is ready to go with local cable stations or any streaming service you want to log into. The huge stone fireplace is centrally located w new propane insert providing warm cozy nights simply by clicking a remote control. The stainless-steel kitchen offers a large refrigerator/freezer, floor to ceiling pantry for storage, farm-style sink, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee station. Oh, and let’s not forget a ‘Mad Men’ style bar for the all-important cocktail!
Well stocked with cooking pots, pans, baking sheets and glassware, you will have everything on hand to prepare whatever might be on the menu. Room darkening shades can be drawn for complete privacy in both the living area and game/dining area.
Off the living/kitchen is a large dining room with seating for 6, a desk for those who can’t quite shake off work responsibilities, and a huge room.
Enjoy some fun time on the 2 person Arcade Table with 60 old-school games like Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong and more, or challenge each other to the 9’ Shuffle-board table or oversized Connect4 game. If you don't want to shake your morning workout routine, there's plenty of floor space for yoga and pilates. The French doors in the game room open out to the front drive where we have the Hot Tub, Solo firepit and BBQ for outdoor time

• Master Bedroom offers a King Bed with en-suite bathroom, bureau, room darkening blinds, separate Heat/AC split unit & Smart TV (no cable tv).
• Guest Bedroom offers a Queen bed with ‘Floating’ Full bed (holds 1000lb+ ), bureau, closet space, SmartTV,room darkening blinds & separate Heat/AC split unit.
Bathrooms:
• Master Bathroom ~access from bedroom only, 4 ft glass and tile shower, toilet, sink, closet and washer/dryer

Local Area and Attractions:
The Love Shack is situated in the Split Rock area of Lake Harmony. One block away from the Split Rock Resort and beach bar, you can stroll down to the grassy area and sit on a blanket to see the activities on the lake! Rent a kayak, paddle board or other watercraft from yeti water sports and have your own adventure! The Split Rock neighborhood is quiet, backing up to state game lands. Great area to take long strolls with your loved one or pet.
Some of our favorite local attractions are the JackFrost/BigBoulder ski resorts- each one only 2-5 miles from our door in either direction. H2Ooooo Waterpark and Split Rock Golf Course are just ½ mile away. Unbelievable hikes with waterfalls, boulder fields and more are in any direction you turn. White water rafting, paintball skirmish, and ATV tours are just 10minutes away. Kalahari Water Park is 20 minutes, Camelback summer and winter parks are 25 minutes away
We are fortunate to have convenience stores for those last minute items (including adult beverages) at either end of the lake, and some of the best restaurants and bars in he Poconos just a mile away!

The house is cute and overall our stay was ok, but we had some issues out of the gate with no hot water. Host responded to assist when we contacted her during business hours the next morning and we ended up getting hot water when the plumber came out that night. However, the odor from a dead rodent(s) under the sink that she removed when she stopped by never went away. It got worse when we used the water or dishwasher. Not sure if it needed to be cleaned out with bleach or if there were more under that trap but it was a strong foul smell. Sadly, the hot tub jets didn’t work either and after reaching out to her, she thinks it was a pressure issue under the tub so nothing that could be easily remedied for our stay. Amy refunded us for our first night with no hot water and we ended up leaving a night early because the odor in the kitchen area was an issue for us trying to cook and eat there and was making my younger son feel nauseous . I’m sure none of this was intentional by the host but it all put a damper on our trip. We enjoyed the gaming room area and beds were comfy. Amy is a responsive house but only so much could be remedied during our stay. We enjoyed the boat parade and party at Nick’s Lake House - Fun time with great weather for that event. House is in a pretty quiet area. The area in Split Rock and the resort was very quiet with almost no guests or activities. I felt bad having to reach out to her again about the foul odor so we just left a day early.

Was a great place to do nothing if you want and close enough to other places for some good day trips. Bushkill falls is only 1 hr East and worth the trip! Jim Thorpe 16 miles south. Some really nice restaurants within a mile or so as well. We ate at Louie’s Steakhouse and the food was excellent but pricey.
We loved the house decor. Definitely a cool retro place. The master bedroom had a great foam mattress and sleep was great. The house was very clean and comfortable
The hostess was very communicative and left us a little gift for our 50th anniversary 😊.
The only disappointment was the beach was really not a beach but a lagoon that was closed.

We were truly impressed with the overall design and layout of the house. The place had everything we needed and was in beautiful condition. The location was perfect for a relaxing time with friends and family to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The game room and the Jacuzzi added to the experience. I would return in the future.

My husband and I needed time away to rest and relax in a quiet place. The Love Shack provided the perfect place to get away. The cabin is comfortably outfitted for resting and is the perfect getaway location. We played games, soaked in the hot tub, slept amazingly well in the king-sized bed, and took our coffee on the front porch each morning. We can't wait to come back next year!

What a wonderful property! So unique. Spacious rooms, wonderful kitchen area and the showers were unbelievable! We had so much fun! Quick ride to Camelback and some great nearby restaurants. I would wholeheartedly recommend!!

We had a wonderful few days at the love shack! We had 3 generations represented on this trip and all had a blast in the game room, there was no shortage of laughs on this vacation. The hot tub was lovely, the house clean and well appointed.Ran into a minor issue and Amy was so gracious and responsive it was handled in no time. Can’t wait to come again during the summer months! For those Who are interested with kids Jack Frost have very good snowboarding lessons.

If you enjoy contemporary, lots of light from great windows you will love this cabin. The hot tub is really nice to enjoy after a day of hiking. Shuffle board, pacman or Asteroids are a blast with friends

This place was so amazing, and really renovated well, as a home improvement contractor, and HVAC contractor as well as a property manager I have seen some great places, and some horrible ones, this was among the best! Well renovated with more than sufficient HVAC (I was there on an 18-degree day) so with all this experience I'm sure you can imagine I can be scrutinizing, and wouldn't leave a review most likely, but this place was truly done right, and is a wonderful place for any couple for sure!!!

I have to appreciate a host that goes out of their way to make the decor of a house the focal point. Complete with mid-century furnishings and accessories, it was a refreshing, modernized, hip surrounding we were looking for. This fully equipped home is close to amenity filled split rock, ski slopes, and just a quick walk to the lake. On top of having the most comfortable mattresses, and a game room for our teens, this property allows you to bring your fur babies as well! We will be back!

The house is absolutely gorgeous down to every last detail. You can feel the love that went into The Love Shack! The decor, the game room, the kitchen, the cozy sofas, beautiful fireplace, super hottub….I could go on and on! We had an amazing time enjoying this gorgeous property! Resting and relaxing and also enjoyed the area restaurants. We were greeted by deer as we arrived and quickly settled in to relax on the comfy green sofa. Fun times were had in the game room and we enjoyed all the unique and interesting decor. The Apple Cider Moonshine was a wonderful, thoughtful bonus!! Thank you for providing this wonderful relaxing space!!!

We decided to stay here for our honeymoon and it truly met all of our expectations. Amy was so sweet and had a little something special waiting for us after finding out that we just got married! She was very responsive to any questions we had and had an awesome list of things to do in the area! While we weren't expecting some of the activities to be seasonal around this area, one of the things listed was a helicopter tour, which was so awesome! Make sure you take a trip to Hanna's Farm Market and Gram-ma's - they have some pretty great stuff. We will definitely be coming back to stay in the future so we can check out more things to do!

I reserved the Love Shack as a little birthday getaway for my boyfriend and I. It was absolutely perfect! The house is beautiful and the location is so nice! Amy sent a list of places to go and things to do in the area and we chose to have dinner at Louie’s Prime. Make sure to visit there, the food was amazing! We are already planning another trip back!

My family had a great time at the Love Shack. Everything was perfectly as shown in the listing with a couple nice surprises. (ninja coffeemaker! wood in the firepit!) It was easy to get to many outdoor activities and we walked to the little shop in The Hub probably 4 or 5 times for odds and ends we forgot to bring. Needed to contact Amy once and she responded right away to help us out. Note for other families: it's not childproofed - this is a place best suited for adults and older kids. That said, my tween LOVED the floating bed and mastered tabletop shuffleboard during our stay. We hope to return for another visit!
