Beautiful sea front and location but dreadful service

The beach view from bar is amazing 😍 definitely the selling point. Also close to main nightclubs

Staff weren't very helpful, rooms need updating and also so much mold. Mainly how unhelpful the staff was the biggest problem, front reception staff and also restaurant staff all very unfriendly and felt like we were bothering them any time we asked for anything

Good

The most gorgeous location with the sea practically lapping at your door. Spectacular sunrise. Open year round. Lovely friendly staff, great included breakfast, and the best restaurant, in my opinion, on the whole island with reasonable prices, and deep fried artichokes to die for. The sheer number of locals that come here is testament to how good the food is.

We were originally put in a room with no hot water. The hotel apologised, they were having some problems, and eventually a room was found for us that had the required double bed AND a shower that worked. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, and the whole place a bit more shabby than chic, and could do with a freshen up. It wasn't all that cheap either for off season, but this is Ibiza, so nothing is cheap here.

Good simple hotel - great location and staff

Great location, lovely staff, nice to have a balcony.

I booked a double bed but it was two singles pushed together and the beds were quite uncomfortable. Shower pressure was weak and the water runs intermittently too hot and then cold. Breakfast is OK but could be better.

The noise of the doors slamming constantly day & night up & down the corridor. The room doors need to be soft closing. Unfortunately, we never got a lie in or a good nights sleep & this impacted our stay

top location and good value

fantastic location, right on the beach, not too far away from the city center. staff was very friendly and accommodating. breakfast is good, baguette and toast, ham/cheese/jam/spreads, fresh fruit, juice and coffee/tea, joghurt/cereals etc. late check out was available upon payment of a reasonable fee. i’d definitely come back and i’d recommend this place if you are looking for simple accommodation at a beachside location not far from the city center. there’s also a restaurant and a bar/cafe on the premises with reasonable prices and a decent choice of meals/drinks. a small supermarket is within three minutes walking if you wish to buy drinks/snacks or extend your breakfast options.

beds are a bit worn out and the rooms aren’t brand new and luxurious but i found the value for money still very good. just don’t expect too much and you’ll be happy ;)

Meeting our expectations for our short stay in Ibiza

After being almost a week on the island of Formentera we wanted to spend the last day in Ibiza. We were in a very good hotel on Formentera, a 4 star with half pension and on Ibiza we were looking for a location within easy reach from the port as we were coming with the ferry from Formentera, and also easy/quick reach to the airport, the next day. Hostal Talamanca met those expectations. We did not expect any fanciness you would require from a 4 star hotel and being myself a Spaniard, I considered good value for money what we got from this Hostal. We were very satisfied with the bathroom: very good towels and small samples for shampoo and bathing gel. And it was super clean. The best was the restaurant which is part of the hotel. We ate, had dinner and breakfast in this restaurant. I have been to many, very fancy, Michelin star restaurants and we enjoyed this very lively, simple restaurant, with a varied cuisine. The waiters were a 10! Although very busy, they were very attentive with us. Maybe because I am a Spaniard?! Not sure, as most of the clients were foreigners. The best sign for a good restaurant is that it was crowdy, all day long, from the morning service until the dinner.

The beds, particularly for very tall persons. My boyfriend is a bit taller then 1.90 metres and he had to sleep in fetal position. The beds in terms of quality of the mattress were Hostal quality but the size could be adapted to a taller public. Even Spaniards, the younger generation are much taller than our parents. So i can assume that most of the guests, particularly, men, have to sleep in a not so comfortable position.

Disappointing

It’s beside a nice beach

The bed was so uncomfortable that I couldn’t sleep. The photos from the room that were in the Booking.com were different than it actually was, for exemplo in the bathroom it was curtains to the shower and on the Booking.com photos wasn’t anything like that. Very high price for what was offered.
