Very nice clean comfortable cabin. Everything you could ever want. Enjoyed the screened in room with lounging swing. Cant wait for a return visit.

My friend and I stayed with my 1year old to have a girls weekend. We spent most of our time on the back porch lying on the daybed swing. The linens were clean and the property overall was very welcoming. We had a great time and didn’t want to leave.

Everything we needed or might have needed was there. The blankets and towels smelled so fresh and clean! There is nothing I would change about this cabin. And I had zero complaints.

Celebrated a big birthday and it was a fabulous place to relax. Very convenient to DeSoto Falls and Little River Canyon the hiking was great!! The porch swing and hot tub really made the trip special!

Very nice atmosphere and lovely neighborhood. Only issue was the comfort of the bed and the outside was a bit messy. Needs cleaned. Overall a very nice stay

Upon arrival had to empty the dishwasher then after seeing both cookie cookie sheets with food and grease on them put away as clean, we had to run a load of dishes to ensure what we used were clean. Also had to wash the comforter in the master bedroom due to an odor (body) which was clearly not the same as the recently washed sheets and was obviously not clean. Sofa had several fluid stains.. had to use a sheet to cover it while we were there. Everything else checked out and was as expected. Less than acceptable housekeeping and would not return/nor recommended based on this alone.

We'll definitely be back. The cabin was perfect! Very clean, great places to just relax and enjoy the wildlife. We saw lots of deer while we chilled at the fire-pit.

The cabin is exactly as advertised. The fireplace and porch swing made for a romantic evening. Had a great time during our stay and hope to plan a return trip in the future.

The house was spotless and Cathleen responded promptly when I messaged her with a problem. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. We will definitely be staying longer next time to take full advantage of the screened in porch!!

The property was just as described and easy to access. It was private and we could only see 1 cabin from ours and it was far enough away to still feel private. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and have recommended the Southern Star to two friends already!

We have stayed in several cabins in Mentone over the past several years. This cabin is well maintained and in a convenient location. We would stay again.

While we were only able to stay 2 nights in this cabin in Mentone, it fit perfectly for our needs. It is close to everything we had planned to go and see. The home was very welcoming and had the cutest setup for that mountain cabin stay and feel. The host was very informative and the directions were easy to follow. We have another trip in the future and will be looking at this home to stay at again.

It was very nice. Easy check in and out. Very beautiful place. Pretty quite. Not as secluded as I thought it would be but it was still a good ways away from the other cabins. It was really pretty clean. It was very nice and had a great time.

Only stayed at this property for one night but it as a magical, peaceful one. The house is clean and quiet, tucked away on a mountain countryside. We did not use the fire pit but it looked inviting, lined with Adirondack chairs. The hot tub was put to use and was very relaxing under the night sky. Thanks for a great stay!

We loved our stay. The cabin was clean. It had all the needed things to make the stay comfortable. We spent our days outside by the fire pit, in the spa or relaxing on the bed swing! The cabin is close to many areas that we like to visit. We left feeling relaxed which was our purpose! We would return.

Enjoyed our stay! The cabin was missing the Keirug coffee machine. But other than that our experience was wonderful. THAT BED SWING....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

I've been working long hours for the last few months with little to no time off and needed an escape. This place was it! Quiet, relaxing, and our evening encounter with a dozen doe grazing in the backyard made it even better!
It was definitely a little slice of heaven! The host is also extremely helpful and responds immediately. We will gladly stay again in the future!

The cabin was clean, well lit and comfortable. The fire pit and area was really nice and relaxing. I absolutely loved the bed swing and hot tub! It’s close to brow park which is beautiful! I will be back!

This cabin is so cute! Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated. The host is an excellent communicator and provided detailed instructions on how to get there that were helpful. The screened in porch has a tv so I can see us coming back during football season and watching a game outside. This area is beautiful and we came at the perfect time with everything turning green. We plan on coming back and checking out more of the area!
