VACATION LIVING I THE CLARA DESCRIPTION: This architectural gem with striking city views. The Clara mixed Hollywood style with comfort and charm. Only a quick drive to the Rose Bowl or Dodger Stadium to cheer on your favorite team or stay even closer and explore historic Brand Park! While located in the hills, the home is nearby the 134, 2, and 5 freeways, and just a short drive to Downtown Los Angeles, Staples Center, Dodgers Stadium, L.A. Zoo, Universal Studios, or Hollywood Blvd. This mid-century modern home boasts three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and fantastic views and entertaining spaces, is here waiting for you! The abundant natural light, spacious living room, walls of windows, and curing staircase leading to the second family room and additional two bedrooms all provide an appealing and impressive environment for your vacation. You will definitely enjoy the stylish and fully equipped kitchen, with stainless steel appliances and a gas range that makes cooking a breeze! The main floor has a large fireplace at the center of the home designed to maximize the incredible skyline views. On the main level, a full bathroom shares access to the main floor bedroom outfitted with a queen bed and seating area facing the picture window. On the west side of the home sits the kitchen, also designed to have the chef looking out over the balcony to the view, and access to the two-car garage complete with a washer and dryer and supercharger for your electric vehicle! The home’s split plan has two bedrooms off the downstairs family room. The first is the Master suite with a king bed, wall-mounted television, sitting area, cedar walk-in closet, full bathroom with jetted tub, its own TV, dual vanities, and a walk-in shower. The second downstairs bedroom offers a queen-size bed and its own en suite full bath. The private master bedroom suite also has access to a stunning patio overlooking the hills of Glendale and the city below. The professionally designed backyard, with oversize stone pavers creating a path to a fantastic covered seating area next to a gas BBQ, is perfect for dining or an outdoor get-together. WHAT YOU'LL LOVE: High-speed internet, air conditioning, luxury bath towels, washer/dryer, hair dryer, iron/board, infant pack’n’play (1), and Smart TVs in the living room and master bedroom. BEDROOMS: This home sleeps 8 guests in 3 beds and 1 Queen Inflatable - Bedroom 1: 1 KING (Sleeps 2) - Bedroom 2: 1 QUEEN (Sleeps 2) - Bedroom 3: 1 QUEEN (Sleeps 2) - Common Area: INFLATABLE (Sleeps 1) BATHROOMS: There are 3 full bathrooms in this home. KITCHEN & DINING: The kitchen is equipped with double wall ovens, gas cooktop dishwasher, microwave, and all the cookware you need to enjoy delicious meals at home. There is a traditional drip-style coffee pot and a toaster. Additionally, all the cutlery, tableware, and basic spices (sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil) are provided for your cooking needs. PARKING: There is parking for ONLY 2 CARS. There is not space for additional cars. Please note this when reserving the property CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT: Check-in is any time after 4 PM and check-out is any time before 11 AM. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed this home tremendously. Extremely clean, and well kept. The view was amazing. The kitchen fairly well equiped, did not have cookie sheets or muffin tins, both of which I needed for a breakfast I wanted to prepare. They did not provide shampoo or condiitoner whihc was a disappointment, nor kleenex. Sol I had to buy a box of kleenex for a 3 day stay. The upstairs bathroom you had to step down into the tub. This could be a pro blem for some people. The lower master bath shower, my son who is 5' 10" could not fit under it, it's hung too low. The other bathroom the shelf was coming off the wall, so the glass he put there slide right off an broke. No paper or plastic cups were provided for the bathroon. On going problem with all of these style of rentals. It did have a 2 car garage, and large TV in the 2 living areas. Again, this house is all about the view.

There was ample room and I like that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The only thing I would recommend is to update the bedding and the linens and add additional cookware. Not sure if this is a norm since most properties I looked at seemed to follow the same floor plan but televisions in all of the bedrooms would be an added bonus.

I can’t stress enough how beautiful this place is. It made our first visit to California unforgettable. Especially the views, you just cannot beat them. Would love to stay here again when we visit in a couple years.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We very much enjoyed staying at The Clara in Glendale. The location is very convenient. It only takes about 10 minutes to drive to downtown Glendale with lots of restaurants and shopping. Several trailheads are less than 15 minutes away. We did some wonderful hikes with amazing views in the Brand Canyon and Verdugo Mountains Open Space preserves. The views from the home itself are also gorgeous. To get up to the house, you have to drive up some fairly narrow and curvy streets so keep that in mind if you aren’t comfortable driving in that environment. As long as you go slow and watch for upcoming traffic you will be fine though. The house has three bedrooms, one upstairs and two downstairs. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. What we didn’t like is that the bathrooms are open to the bedroom and don’t have a door you can close for privacy. It would be good if shampoo in addition to shower gel would be provided in each shower. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is very functional, but could use some attention. We noticed that the drinking water faucet next to the kitchen sink is leaking water when used. The door to the microwave is sticky and as a result a little difficult to open. Lastly, the refrigerator seems to be running constantly, so it may need some maintenance. These aren’t huge issues, but they should be addressed. Having breakfast and lunch at the dining table while enjoying the great views was a treat. The home has AC, which we used during the day. Something we noticed is that the cooling downstairs varies quite a bit by room. The primary bedroom is the coldest, followed by the living area downstairs. The secondary bedroom downstairs is the warmest. The issues I highlighted were a bit distracting, but they can all be addressed and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at The Clara again.

Spectacular view in a gorgeous house. My family members ranging from 16-75 years old enjoyed their stay. Neighborhood was quiet and serene. Communication with property manager was stress-free.
