Welcome to CATCHING RAES on Smith Mountain Lake!

Enjoy a long weekend or a week-long getaway in our top floor/corner unit lakefront condo situated on a quiet cove in Mariners Landing Resort (check out marinerslanding.com). Newly renovated and furnished with relaxation in mind, this 2-bedroom, 2 full bath condo is located adjacent to the peaceful tree line, which means you can enjoy breakfast or a good book on the balcony with the sounds of nature beside you. If you’d rather be binge-watching your favorite show, grab a remote to one of the 3 smart TVs (living, master, bed 2). The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, private full bath and plenty of storage space. Bedroom 2 includes a queen- and full-sized bed, wall mounted TV and full bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with the essentials as well as the extras (Keurig, crock pot, blender, hand-mixer, pitchers and more) so you can enjoy homemade favorites during your stay.
Should you want to head out for meals, Mariners Landing offers The Landing Restaurant (waterfront, indoor/outdoor seating located at The Pointe), Bottles & Bites (seasonal, light fare, cocktails, live music and events) and Bruno’s Clubhouse Bistro (located adjacent to pro shop at the Country Club). Stop by Mariners Marketplace to grab a small gift, ice cream treat, Starbucks Coffee drink or ready-to-eat food item. SML offers numerous options for great dining sure to satisfy any appetite!
Additional resort amenities include a newly-updated, 18-hole championship golf course designed by the late Robert Trent Jones Sr. (15% discount on green fees), tennis, pickleball, private beach, 3 pools, fully-equipped gym, boat launch and miles of walking trails. Slip and boat rentals also available on-site. Mariners Landing Resort is located less than one mile from Smith Mountain Lake State Park.

HOUSE RULES
Located in Mariners Village, a 5-building complex in Mariners Landing. This is a quiet area and includes full-time residents. Please be respectful and observe quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. Absolutely no parties allowed.
Minimum age to rent—25 years.
This is a non-smoking rental. No exceptions.
NO PETS are allowed. This includes ESAs. *Owner with severe allergies.* Under VA law, public accommodations are not required to allow ESAs. Please contact owner if traveling with a service animal. There are several pet-friendly rentals available in the area. If there is any evidence of pets or ESAs, you will be charged a $250 pet/cleaning fee and be asked to vacate immediately.

We decided to stay at Catching Rae's for our last hurrah before we head back into school and it was perfect! The unit is very clean and well equipped with everything you need for a week at the lake plus some! The location is great and very quiet. The unit was perfect for our family of four (a 22 yr old son and a 17 yr old son plus my husband and I). We took advantage of the pools and enjoyed the "beach" area. I highly recommend staying at Catching Rae's and we hope to book again the next time we head to SML.

My brother and I had a great stay. There is a gym, tennis courts, pool and snack bar within a short walk. This unit is tucked away and on end with privacy. I would recommend this place and hope to come back soon!

inside the condo is just as shown in pictures. very clean. loved and read a few books from their collection. balcony offers a screened in section and a non-screened in section with a grill and plenty of seating.....although have to go inside to get from one section to another. in this section of condos, this one has the best location......upper corner in section closest to the edge of property note: if looking at the pictures of the condo.....the pictures with the pool and the vast view of the lake is from a DIFFERENT section of the resort. you have to drive to get there from this condo. so if you are wanting walking access to a pool, this condo isn't for you. be aware that the ice maker isn't hooked up. so if you like ice in your drinks (i drink ice water all day long), bring a bag of ice, or ice trays to make your own. also, if you're going to stay a week, you might want to bring along a few washcloths unless you want to do some laundry while you are there. i can reuse towels, but not washcloths there is a nice washer/dryer set inside a closet in the kitchen. Bart was quick to answer any questions that I had. overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone (except those wanting close proximity to a pool) loved the swimming area at the other section of the resort, near the pool.

A couple of friends and I stayed the weekend of May 10-12, 2024 and this location did not disappoint. The home was SO clean and tidy, and stocked with everything we needed to cook meals in the home, and grill on the back deck. Beds and furniture (to include outdoor seating) were comfy, and all appliances were in great shape. We will definitely be back!

Condo is on the top floor… very clean and has all the amenities you would need. We were able to park our boat rental at the slips at the far end of the condos for the night so it was easy to just go out and hop in when we wanted to. Had a great time and definitely will be back.

This lovely end unit condo was just what we needed! Quiet, facing the lake, great indoor space for families and convenient resort amenities. We plan to make this our regular condo when we stay to visit nearby family. We loved all the small touches (coffee pods, bathroom essentials, laundry needs) provided! Highly recommend trying out the restaurants within the resort, pool / game room for kids and venturing to the 'beach' on the lake with swimming! Perfect space to unwind and relax.

The place was wonderful, the kitchen well stocked, close to the pools and beach, and the outside area in the evening was beautiful. I’m a neat freak and this wonderful home delivered and was even better than the pictures. Bring an extra hair towel if you use one as each guest only receives one towel.

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Catching Rae's in Quiet Cove. The place was even bigger than the description and pictures described. It was immaculately cleaned before our arrival. The decor created a nice relaxing environment for our down time off of the water. The kids loved having a full "suite" for themselves complete with their own TV and bathroom. And the parents loved having a private balcony to enjoy the lake scenery and setting. The entire unit was well equipped with kitchen cookware and other basic necessities. The living area was well appointed and comfortable for our whole family to enjoy. The location was fantastic and was truly quiet while still being in close proximity to the main resort with its amenities. The main fitness center (with indoor and outdoor pool) is only a short walk away. Overall - we really enjoyed the stay and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a location at Smith Mountain Lake. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips to SML.

The condo is nicer than the pictures! It is upstairs and at the end, so you have great privacy and it was quiet! We enjoyed the beach, so never went to the pool, but it looked nice. We rented a boat at the resort that went well! Would return!

The photos don’t do this place justice. Large, spacious secluded yet amazing views. Walking distance to many amenities. To top it off, Bart was an amazing communicative host and very responsive to the few questions I had leading up to the stay and also during my stay. Will be back next year, even longer.
