A fantastic hotel in the beautiful location of Vico Equense. Just a few minutes walk from the train station (only a few stops from Sorrento) It is a very nice looking hotel and the staff made me smile from the moment I checked in. They were happy, friendly and helpful the whole stay. The rooms are large and very comfortable (I hear they have new mattresses which were lovely) with a large balcony which was a private suntrap. Breakfast options were plenty and you have the choice to taje your tray outside to sit in the restaurant area under the wisteria looking out on the views of the sea and the Volcano. The pool was my happy place. A great size and surrounded by a beautiful garden and with a member of staff on hand to bring you drinks and ensure everyone has a sun lounger. Paradise! I will definitely come again, next time on a romantic get away. Well done Aequa hotel!

Location is good but that's it. Terrible experience.
Outdated facilities: The hotel is extremely old and clearly in need of significant renovations.
Unpleasant odor: There was a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the hotel, including our room, which made our stay very uncomfortable.
Lack of cleanliness: The cleanliness is way below the standard.
Bathroom mold: The bathroom had mold everywhere, which is unacceptable and unhygienic.
Dirty orridors: The carpeted corridor was not vacuumed even once during our 3-day stay and was full of crumbs, and other rubish.
Breakfast: The breakfast lacked hot food options, though there were some items available to eat.
This hotel is suitable only for the most undemanding guests.
We have traveled to Italy multiple times and stayed in various, much cheaper hotels, but this was by far the worst experience we've had.

The property still on top of a mountain close to cliff views of the sea. The property is easily accessible by train then a short walk to hotel. The esthetic of the hotel was beautiful! Lots of sun light and Awesome balcony views! I love the breakfast option offered as apart of my reservation. Also, lots of nearby restaurants, local shops, and beach. A pool is located on the property too.
The hotel provided options for reasonably priced excursions through local travel companies. I purchased an excursion to Capri and one to the Amalfi coastline visiting Positano and Amalfi for a few hours!
None.

It was beautiful! The view from our room was stunning and the outside restaurant area was delightful. The staff were ever so attentive throughout.
This is not the hotel’s fault however, there was limited seating around the pool and people would often put towels down and not appear for hours. It would be great if they policed this to improve other guests pool experience.

The location was perfect - central and scenic. A wonderful view from the pool. Breakfast was varied and tasty, and staff very friendly.
We had a two-bedroom family suite, and the second bedroom for the kids was so small there was no space on the floor for their bags, let alone sit at the desk. No bedside tables or bedside lamps for them. The room is sold for for people but the balcony only has space and chairs for two, which means we could not enjoy the view together in the evening.

The pool is fantastic. We were planning in staying in Sorrento but chose Vico instead given the available rooms to stay in and were very pleased we did. Much handier for Pompei, we went to Sorrento for the day which was great and Vico has loads of bars and restaurants. And the hotel made the holiday, was perfect.

The hotel is such great value and a fantastic location in which to explore Amalfi and Sorrento without being in the tourist swarm.
Pool is lovely and the views are amazing.
Surrounded by great shopping and restaurants.
The staff were all absolutely lovely - they were helpful and attentive.
Also, as a queer couple travelling in Italy, it can sometimes be awkward on check in when being same sex and insisting on a double room. But no such awkwardness here - just unquestioning acceptance.
The lift was a bit scary! The lighting in the rooms is all bright white which I don’t like, but I appreciate that’s a personal preference.

Simple comfy room. Check-in staff. Location. Stunning views across Bay of Naples. 5 minutes walk from station. On 3rd floor was an amazing terrace, with even better views. Swimming pool fantastic, clean, simple. Lovely gardens.
Did not want to leave.
Breakfast is tired. Presentation poor. Coffee not good. But you can also see offering better coffee to locals, who are not having the inclusive breakfast. I’ve stayed in lots of hotels in Italy, where breakfast is fantastic. Mid range hotels in Viareggio, do great breakfasts simply. Provide smaller pastries, but variety. Fresh fruit, some local yogurt. Better cheese selection. It meant I did not bother dining in at all

The hospitality at this hotel was far superior to anything we have experienced when traveling in the US and Europe. The staff was very attentive in every aspect of our stay - from arranging taxi drivers to preparing vegetarian options for breakfast and bringing wine and glasses to our room - they made us feel so welcome and at home.
The beds were small and the mattresses a bit hard.

excellent location and super welcoming and friendly staff. my son, his friend and I had a challenge on Good Friday with getting to the Naples airport due to reduced train schedule. we returned to the hotel, after having checked out, in a panic because time was running out to get to the airport on time. despite being a holiday Friday in Italy, Giacomo at the front desk made several calls and best efforts to find a taxi driver willing to take us to the airport immediately. after many calls he persuaded a driver and we were collected within 15 minutes. we owe giacomo a great big thank you and much appreciation for ensuring our swift arrival at the airport - just in time to make our flight! grazie mille, Giacomo. everyone else was very helpful and kind too. we loved our stay.

The Hotel Aequa
Wow what a fabulous hotel, positioned overlooking the bay of Naples towards Mount Vesuvius, All the staff were attentive, lovely warm greetings and smiles, and always keen to recommend things to do, when exploring the area.
The breakfast was superb ( ask for a fresh omelette )
Sighted almost in the centre of Vico Equense, with many restaurants close by, you won’t be disappointed, we enjoyed meals at Bistrot la Piazzetta and Pizzeria Da Franco
Thanks again for the advice to catch the cable car from Castellammare to Mount Faito, what a view!!

Everything was absolutely amazing. Location, the family room for us and the kids and the staff were true old school professionals and superb, 1 to 5, they were 7 stars!
We had problems with the airline cancelling and changing our flights twice with different dates and they always helped us in order to stay and even change rooms. Helped us getting the right tours. This was what good hotels used to be and for a long time that I didn't get it. Brilliant! Recommend to everyone!
The pool closed at 19h. It would be nice to be at least till 20h. At this time of the year the sun sets late and it would be nice to enjoy it a bit more.

The location of the hotel was lovely, so was the availability of parking. The hotel had spectacular views and a fabulous pool area - the sea is hundreds of meters below and a good walk down!! The staff was very helpful, breakfast was lovely. All in all a really good stay!

The location is perfect with beautiful views. The hotel itself is wonderful with a dreamy pool and terrace area. My room was a standard single but was enormous and surprised me with a double bed!
The bathroom was huge but the shower was absolutely tiny. I'm very small (5ft and slim) and yet my elbows touched the sides!

The Hotel is family run and all the staff without exception were very helpful. There is a large swimming pool which is very clean. A continental breakfast is provided and cooked breakfasts are also available if desired.
It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but this is a small thing as far as we were concerned.

Giacomo and his staff were very polite, accommodating and very helpful in every aspect including organising trips, taxis etc. The hotel was better than we expected in terms of location and facilities. The rooms were spacious and had great balconies and sea views. Breakfast and dinner were good. We will definitely stay again.
One of the rooms was slightly dated but this didnt take away from its charm. Vegan options at breakfast were limited but the staff/chef were very helpful in preparing alternative options on request. We had no complaints really.
