Whether splashing in the surf and searching for shells on the miles and miles of unspoiled sugar sand beaches, exploring the Island by bicycle or paddleboard, or just relaxing by the community pool with a good book and a refreshing beverage, this charming vacation rental property delivers the best of the Forgotten Coast. Located in the Island’s popular East End neighborhood, Serenade of the Sea is close to local shops, restaurants, nightlife, the multi-use path connecting the entire Island, St. George Lighthouse Museum, and fishing pier. Just across the bridge is Eastpoint’s seafood markets and craft brewery, and the eclectic shopping, arts and culinary scene of historic and charming Apalachicola is just 25 minutes away by car!

EXTERIOR AMENITIES
The exterior of this home offers under house concrete parking and a covered entry. A convenient elevator assists with quickly unpacking for your Island vacation. Enjoy a private boardwalk to the sandy shore and a wonderful enclosed outdoor shower after a day in the sun. An exterior spiral staircase conveniently connects all levels of the home directly to the beach level. A fish cleaning area and park-style grill are provided for your fresh catch.

INTERIOR TOUR
The first floor of this home offers an abundance of sleeping spaces. The SE king bedroom enjoys gorgeous views of the sparkling Gulf and direct access to the covered deck. This room also enjoys a flat screen TV and a full private bathroom. The SW king bedroom also enjoys a flat screen TV, and a full private bathroom with twin sinks and a private water closet. A flat screen TV and direct access to the covered Gulf view deck are also enjoyed here. The NE king bedroom enjoys a flat screen TV, full private bathroom and direct access to the covered deck with Bay views. The NW bunk bedroom sleeps four in two sets of twin bunk beds and enjoys a flat screen TV and full private bathroom.

The second floor of this home features a large and open living/dining/kitchen floor plan. Enjoy views of the Gulf and Bay, while preparing coastal meals in the well-appointed kitchen with stainless appliances and granite counters. The dining area with seating for 8 is perfect for meals, games and puzzles.

The living room boasts a flat screen TV, stereo, an abundance of comfortable seating and a gas fireplace to cozy up to in the cooler months. Exit the living or dining areas through sliding doors to the covered porch with a patio table and the exposed sundeck with chaise loungers overlooking the Gulf. A bonus breakfast/sitting area is just off the kitchen with kitchen table and queen sleeper sofa. Exit this space to the covered deck with Bay views!

The NE queen bedroom on the second floor features a flat screen TV and direct access to the covered deck with Bay views.

A full bathroom is provided for guest convenience on the second floor.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is lovely. However we stayed here last year and the sliding glass doors were very difficult to open, especially for an 80+ woman. I had to have my son-in-law open them for me. We called your office and you sent the maintenance man to work on them. He did the best he could but they were still hard to open. This year I called before I booked and was reassured they were fixed. Sorry to say they were not. Also this year the shade in the second ocean view bedroom was broken. My son-in-law had to manually roll it up and place it on the frame of the door. Maintenance came and did the best he could for the door in ocean front room to open easier and your office had to call the curtain company for the shade. We really enjoy staying at this house since it is right on the beach, with elevator, and private boardwalk. One of the questions below is would you recommend this property to a friend, "only if the repairs were truly made".

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great place to stay for our extended family. We had 4 couples and multiple children and the space was perfect. The location was great as the beaches were not crowded. It was nice to be close to the state park. The house had great amenities. My only complaint is that the sliding doors were really hard to open.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful, clean, Decor lovely. Our only disappointment was the lack of beginning supplies in the kitchen, particularly. Having come to Sunset Beach many years every house we were in had plenty of garbage bags plenty of cleaning materials for the kitchen and even coffee filters.. The coffee filters, especially were a problem because at the store on the island you could not get the right size so you had to go all the way into Apalachicola. There was not even a dustpan for the broom so it was very hard to clean the floor. There was no cleaner for the top of the counters.. There was only one dishwasher pod OK so I know if that’s your policy that’s the way it is. We will be more prepared next year. I think it was just that we were not used to that from any of the other years that We have been at Sunset Beach. We left some of the cleaning products that we bought because we did not want to pack them and felt throwing them away was really wasteful. Hope this helps. As we said overall, it was a beautiful place to be in.
