Welcome to our charming two-bedroom duplex located right across the street from the Long Island Sound in West Haven, Connecticut! With stunning water views and a prime location, this rental is perfect for couples, families, or friends looking for a relaxing getaway.

The duplex features two cozy bedrooms, one bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed, fresh linens, and plenty of storage space and another smaller bedroom with a twin day bed. I really enjoyed staying here and the apartment was really nice. The only complaint I have is that there was a pair of underwear with poop stains in the dryer left. The silverware was also all dirty and sticky and had stains all over them

Booked this for myself, spouse, & 2 teenagers. PROS: Location excellent--short walk to beachfront, only a mile to the boardwalk itself; clean and plenty of linens; host was friendly. CONS: The listing was inaccurate. There is no deck to enjoy water views, just a front porch that just gives you a street level view. The master bedroom is listed as having a queen and a twin. Nope, just a Queen. There is a foldaway in a closet in the front room. To use it, you'd have to rearrange the bedroom. The mattress was terrible. The listing also failed to mention the steep and narrow stairway to the 2nd floor (luckily I saw that in another review) & didn't mention that you can't park on the street during beach season or you get towed. The only parking is a space next to the garage, which only fits 2 cars is they aren't both SUVs (like ours and the other renters was) or park parallel in front of the garage. Portable AC units in the main area and the two bedrooms. However, as soon as you left an area with AC, like to go into the kitchen or bathroom, it was hot and humid. Shower leaked thru the ceiling into unit below. Owner did repair next day, but it was a stop-gap. Hope they get a plumber. Washing machine doesn't work. It doesn't spin. Didn't know until we already had a load in there. Dryer vents back into room. We took laundry to relative's to dry. No instructions as to what to do upon leaving, so we just did what we've done at other rentals.

Great location!! Safe neighborhood. Short walk to the beach. Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. Clean place. Plenty of linens.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great clean and welcoming place to stay in and we definitely will come back the next time we are in the area.

Overall, I'd enjoyed my stay here. Pros: The apartment was clean, comfortable and had all the necessities to get through. It was close to the beach and had a nice front sitting area with a view of the water. Cons: There wasn't much initial communication with the property owner. I had to reach out upon arrival to ask how to access the property (i.e. key placement and lockbox code), where to park, and receive WIFI information. None of that information was provided in advance. There was also no warning that the apartment was located up a steep and narrow staircase. This is necessary information for those with mobility issues and should have been referenced in the listing. Also, the access to the beach was blocked as it was under construction. The street in front and the view were blocked. I understand that the owner can't help public construction but someone looking for a beach vacation would feel cheated if that is blocked during their stay.

The place was very cute, clean, orderly and exactly what we needed to visit friends and family nearby! Everything was comfortable, easy and as expected, with the beach nearby. A great stay!
