Great accommodation at a reasonable price.

The staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast was very good. Most importantly, the whole place was immaculately clean. We could see the lake from our room, which was nice.

Parking was a challenge - not enough spaces for residents, but that would not put us off staying here again. No other negatives.

Lovely short break

The staff were lovely. Great welcome. The room was spotless .The food was great. Lovely Location.Excellent value for money .There was nothing not to like. We would certainly stay again at the Royal Oak.

We have stayed at the royal oak a number of times because it is value for money the breakfast is fantastic and the stay are very polite and helpful. Ang the owner is a lovely lady who we missed this time as she was on holiday herself

Cosy hotel with lovely staff!

The whole stay was fantastic, great location, lovely spacious cosy room and on the night we stayed it was quiet despite the window facing onto the road! Had a great night's sleep, and breakfast was absolutely lovely. Can't fault any of the staff either - so friendly and welcoming and eager to help with anything we needed! Additionally, communication from the hotel before the stay was fab.

My wife & I both enjoyed our stay at the Royal Oak.

The food was very good. The location was perfect. The room (number 7} was quite small for a en-suite facility, last October we had room ( number 10} which was more suitable for us. Trying to go up and down the stairs was not very easy for my wife as she has had both knees replaced. The reason being that both handrails are hard up against the stair walls with no gap to put your hands around them to steady yourself. The staff were very helpful & supportive etc.

Staff went above and beyond

The staff went above and beyond for us. We arrived a few hours before check in due to attending a wedding and they let us have our room early so we could get ready, they organised transport to the wedding and the breakfast in the morning was exceptional. I really felt like nothing was to much trouble. The location was also fabulous and we will be staying here again for sure. Thank you to the Royal Oak team!

Weekend away

Me & my wife as stayed here twice and just booked for next year. For my wife's birthday. We couldn't ov picked a better place. Staff really friendly & helpful. Location excellent. Nice and clean. Everything you need. Iz a 2 minute walk. 👍👍👍

The location was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful and rhe room was clean. We ate in the bar on the Saturday evening and the food was nice, along with a tasty breakfast. Good value for money.

staff was more than friendly, great location, delicious breakfast and a comfortable and super clean room! :)

room was quite small but that made it even more comfortable! Unfortunately, the window couldn‘t be closed properly and it got a little cold during the night.
