Fantastisch verblijf?

Zeer nette accomodatie. Absoluut de moeite om hier te verblijven als je in Kandy bent! Fantastisch ontbijt en een nog betere host. Wat een lieve man, enorm behulpzaam! Wij hadden het huis voor ons alleen en konden alle kamers gebruiken. Als hier twee koppels zijn deel je het leefgedeelte, maar de kamers kan je perfect afsluiten voor privacy. De douches zijn fenomenaal!

De kamers kunnen niet volledig verduisterd worden.

These are things why you should choose this place to stay in: 1. In whole house there are only 2 rooms. So it often happens that you will be the only guest in whole house. In this case Asitha - the owner will let you use both rooms. There is real tropical rain under the open sky in one of them. 2. Asitha is very attentive owner. He takes care of every single moment while you staying. 3. Amazing breakfasts 4. Quiet please among the jungle 5. Parking 6. Price for staying is very low. We even thought owner will ask to pay more than price booking :)

A lovely stay in a beautiful house with an exceptional host.

The house itself is very stylish indeed, with lovely touches throughout. The host, Asitha, is a lovely person who went well out of his way to make our stay special. I'd go so far as to say that it was some of the most impressive and personal service I've ever seen. The breakfasts were really great (something we found to be the case all across Sri Lanka), and the outdoor shower in the smaller bedroom was superb. We wished we could stay longer... If only all hotels and guest houses were as nice as this one!

The directions to the house weren't great, with booking.com showing the house in the wrong place. Make sure to make contact beforehand to get the right address. Location is still good though. The photos on booking.com aren't particularly helpful. The master bedroom has the balcony and a/c. The other room has no a/c but has an outdoor shower which is great. There is no pool on-site but there is access available to a lovely one nearby (10 minute walk).

Despite my late arrival after a demanding workday, Mr. Asitha, the owner, extended a warm welcome that immediately put me at ease. The villa's breakfast was a culinary delight, setting the tone for each day. The inviting atmosphere, prime location, pristine rooms, and impeccably clean washrooms all contributed to an exceptional stay. To top it off, having the chance to unwind with a short movie after a long day was the perfect touch. Margossa Residence surpassed all expectations and provided a truly rejuvenating escape.

The culinary offerings at Margossa Residence were a true highlight of my stay. Both the English and Sri Lankan breakfasts were an absolute treat for the taste buds.
