My wife & I had a great wknd! The Surf Club is located in perfect area downtown, close to boardwalk & beach also restaurants..loved it! Room was nicely appointed. Hope to hit it again!

We absolutely loved the room. We spend a lot of time exclusively in OC and of all the places we have stayed at this was by far the best in every way!!! We are due to come back down for a long weekend starting July 18 and we are very much hoping our room there will be available. That is how much we loved it.

Room was bare bones…huge tv - great if you’re into streaming…no chairs. No place to sit! Bed was extremely comfortable. Great location…could ask if folks want lower floor. Seniors with bags would appreciate it.

Room was clean and cool, nicely appointed and close to the beach and boardwalk. Only negative was the parking issue. I received a message that my parking pass would be in the room but also a conflicting message that parking isn’t offered or arranged for guests. Very inconvenient as had I known this, I probably would have looked for other accommodations.

Great location (block from the beach and boardwalk) and not a bad place if you're just looking for a bed to sleep in. The room was clean and the bathroom was pretty nice. But I've stayed in "invisible" and "concierge-less" hotels before and this one was pretty middling. The guest platform they use was not functioning well and it took hours to get a text back, which was often just a canned response or completely unrelated to the question asked. I thought maybe I was talking to an AI for awhile but then I'd also get really short, unhelpful responses to basic questions that I had to ask several times. The price is also not differentiated enough from a regular hotel to fail to provide basic hotel amenities like an ice bucket or a bed that wasn't from IKEA. It was fine.

My wife and I enjoyed our mini-vacation anniversary getaway at The Surf! Although it was self-service, they were available by phone to resend my code. We definitely would stay again, and if I had to make one suggestion, it would be a stronger WiFi because we were not able to watch tv without frequent buffering. Other than that, we definitely enjoyed ourselves.

This was a great place for me and my teenage daughter to stay for a quick off season weekend. We didn’t arrive until close to 9:00pm on Friday night. I had been driving for hours so I wasn’t able to look at the text messages as they were sent for me to fill out additional information. So when we arrived, we weren’t sure where to go. The outside lights came on after we went into the room. The parking was conveniently located around the back, but the parking lot and alley way to walk through are dark, and we couldn’t see an animal that ran out from behind a dumpster and scared us. That was more funny than scary to us, but someone else might had been scared. It was dark. Anyway, the bed was comfy, the room was clean and the shower was great. In the middle of the day, we came back to the room because it was raining. While we were there, a woman opened the door. She didn’t knock, she just walked in. Obviously it was a mistake. But we would have been pretty upset if we were getting changed or something. The top lock was locked, so she must have used a key. Having someone to be able to walk right in without warning is a little upsetting. Maybe a knock every time or a chain link lock might be better to ensure privacy. Otherwise, cute spot.

Went for a weekend trip. The hotel was very clean, very comfortable bed, but overall room size small. Great location to beach and boardwalk. Had some trouble getting TV to work. Staff communication was good.

This property is brand new and very convenient to all the area attractions. Check-in is contactless and fully online. Your state includes parking and beach tags. All the rooms are brand new with quality beds and bathroom is large with new walk-in shower.

Very pleased with our stay . The room was very clean and comfortable. The only complaint I would have is the parking . The lot is too far away from the hotel. But I would very much recommend this hotel very close also to the beach and boardwalk.

The black building in the middle of a shore town was….odd. But the room was updated and clean. The shower was great. The pool needs a complete overhaul and didn’t seem very clean. Location was perfect BUT the parking lot is five blocks away which proved to be a big pain.

Our room was wonderful! It was clean and everything was new. Quiet. We were close to the beach. We had a nice tv with tons of channels. Communication was fantastic. An excellent breakfast/lunch restaurant is right next door, on the property, and made it perfect to save time for the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Relatively small room without closet. ExcellentTV. Excellent new bathroom and shower. All new, attractive renovation. I was permitted to park next to the property in the adjacent hotel parking lot which was great. However, under normal circumstances guests need to park approximately two blocks away. Very accommodating staff. Overall a great stay.

The place was very nice... but we feel like they rushed the opening & forgot details. There was nowhere to hang or set clothes (as pics) we had no trash can at all ... a used roll of toliet paper.. no blowdryer, iron... door stoppers not installed... its very bright when sun is up; so if you expect sleep not happening... never saw pool shown in pics. "Aeriel views" beach/boardwalk... def not from hotel **the smell of new paint/calking is overwhelming, 1st thing u notice upon walking in.. It is NOT oceanfront.. "free" parking is like 4blocks away , we were lucky & got street parking (worth paying) Mgr DID allow late ck out- much appreciated... This place can be great... just need to finish all details.

The bed was amazing! The large rainfall shower was a hit with everyone . Brand new construction and room with a modern feel. Only a couple minute walk to the boardwalk. Kids loved the pool as well! Definitely will be staying when we are in the area.

I booked the Surf Club for a mid-week getaway for my boyfriend and myself. We loved it! The property was extremely clean, they provided beach tags and were very accommodating over text. The shower was really great water pressure and the rainfall head made it even better! 10/10 will be staying here again
