About this cabin rental
ALPINE RIVER HAUS is directly on the Chattahoochee River in Helen. Cabin with hot tub on the back porch and fireplace and firepit! River access, fish from the backyard. IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR DOG, PLEASE MESSAGE US FIRST. DO NOT USE INSTANT BOOKING PLEASE. Dogs are approved on a case-by-case basis. Walk to restaurants, shops, the Hardman Trail and Waterpark. The primary suite is the entire upstairs of cabin with river views from the bedroom and bathroom (with jetted tub). Smart TV's in living room and both bedrooms. Upscale new appliances, new flooring, furnishings, lighting, paint and more upgrades coming. Peaceful back porch upstairs. Lower porch with seating gets you up close to the river.
The space
A walk through the Alpine River Haus. As you enter the front door you will have several options for hanging your coat, purse, hats etc. The main floor bedroom with queen bed is on your right. It has private access to the main floor bathroom. You also have a 43" Smart TV, chair, closet, ceiling fan and dresser for your needs. New cabin themed bedding. And the laundry closet and steps upstairs are on your left. Heading into the cabin the main level bathroom has an entrance from the hallway and the Queen bedroom.
The kitchen is on your left. Stocked with all the amenities you want, coffee maker, Keurig machine, electric teapot, blender, all cooking supplies, plenty of glasses, dishes etc. Little extras like spices, plastic wrap, foil etc. are stocked in this kitchen. (There is an owner's locked cabinet in the kitchen) Beautiful new lighting and new appliances compliment this kitchen. Counter stools are provided for guests who want to be where all the action is. Filtered water is available on the Fridge. Views of the river and the open floor concept in the living/dining/kitchen space will have you re-booking this cabin.
The dining area seats 4 comfortably at the table and 4 stools at the counter. And overlooks the back porch. The living room has multiple seating options. Including a 2 person recliner. Everyone has a view of the 58" screen Smart TV mounted above the Fireplace. Bring your passwords for your favorite streaming apps like Netflix etc. There is no cable or satellite TV connection. (There is a locked owner/cleaning closet in this room). For your convenience the end table next to the sofa has 2 USB ports in the flip top. Pull out drawer has 2 cup holders and remote holder. Again it's all about the river views from the living room. New furniture and a plush sofa throw will keep you cozy and relaxed. Take a nap, you're on vacation!
There are window screens in every room. Take advantage of the breezes and beautiful weather during your stay.
Heading out the back sliding glass door the peaceful sound of the river will be the first thing you notice. Make plans to enjoy the hot tub and spend a meal or two out on the porch. The gas grill is located downstairs off the carport for safety reasons.
Going back into the cabin, take the steps upstairs to relax in the spacious Primary suite. It's the entire upstairs of the cabin! A unique feature of this room is the loft overlook. You can view the goings on downstairs, the river or close the sliding barn doors for privacy. Plenty of room in the closet. For your convenience there is a USB plug on the left side nightstand outlet. Plenty of room to spread out. New bedding. And you can't miss the 50" Smart TV. The adjacent bathroom has a double vanity, hair dryer, plenty of room. There is no access for guests to the attic. The jacuzzi tub and separate shower unit finish off this room. And you can see the river from the window!
This property is a little bit wider than the actual house footprint. Follow the path around the side of the downstairs porch if you want to view the river up close. Respect other properties and stay on our property only.
The Fire Pit area is at the bottom of the steps. Charcoal grill set up here too!

Guests can park in the driveway or under the carport. There is a locked utility room on the carport for the owners use. On the side of the door is a light switch that turns on the lights for the carport, steps, and front upstairs porch. You can also turn it on/off in the house at the front hallway. Walk to wherever you want in Helen, the streets are lit at night too. You are about a 15-20 minute walk from the heart of Main St. Many restaurants and shops are closer along the river side of town. Beautiful walk to the Hardman Trail around the corner. The street dead ends up past our cabin. So not a lot of traffic.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet location while visiting Helen, Ga. This home, with many upscale features, was the perfect fit for us. The place was beautifully furnished. We enjoyed watching wildlife off the back porch, overlooking the river. The hot tub was a great way to end each day of hiking the many trails in the mountains. The owner, Jennifer, made us feel very welcomed. Although we had no issues, we felt we could have reached out to her at any time and know she was there to resolve a problem.
We would highly recommend this place to friends and family, and would return here ourselves.

My husband and I and our senior pup came to Helen with no predetermined expectations . We arrived with two extra family members we last minute added. Jennifer was amazing, she said that was totally fine. Then we had so much fun my husband and I and our pup decided to stay a few more days if that was approved. It was and we enjoyed every second the home is just lovely, well stocked even a complementary bottle of wine. Our last morning we saw a huge Momma Bear and 4 baby cubs cross the river behind the house. It was a perfect ending to a very wonderful vacation. Thank you so much!!

The cabin had the sweetest location on the Chatahoochee where it was low and you could walk in. Upstairs had a beautiful porch where you sit and listen to the river pass. The house was incredibly decorated with nice bedrooms and a state of the art kitchen. The host Jennifer was readily reachable with a host of ideas for what to do in the area.

This haus is one of the cleanest houses I’ve ever booked. If I lived close by I’d want the cleaning services number! The location was perfect for our needs. Being able to hear the sound of the river was so calming. Communication with the owner was terrific. You can tell they truly want everyone that stays to have an amazing experience

The property was perfect for our needs. Very well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and relaxing sitting areas. The deck was amazing and we spent most of our stay sitting outside just enjoying the sound of the river. You are close to everything Helen but not in the middle of the chaos you would expect over a 4th of July stay. And the host was amazing. Easy to communicate with and checked in with us to make sure we were all set with arrival. This place will definitely stay on my list for future stays.

The family loved the property. Close to town and easy access to the river for tubing or fishing. My oldest caught his first trout just a few yards upstream from the house. Great amenities and beautiful cabin. Host was great and checked in to make sure everything was okay. Looking forward to staying here again!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days for our 10 year anniversary. We loved the location. Very close to both tubing companies so you could walk there instead of fighting for a parking spot in there lot. The cabin was right on the river which was nice and relaxing. The cabin was very clean and the beds were super comfy. If we had our small kids with us they definitely could’ve played in the river area behind the cabin. We will definitely be back again and stay here!! Also lots of really great places to eat in Helen.

This place was magical. Everything at the place was just as described and better. It was so beautiful inside the house between the decor to the renovations, everything was well thought out. This place makes you feel at home in every way. So thankful we found this place. Jennifer was very attentive and always thinking of us. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a great stay in Helen. Will definitely be back. Thank you again for everything.

My wife and I had the most wonderful get away trip with our pup Coop. Jennifer was super helpful in guiding us to some of the best spots in the area. She was very prompt in responding to any questions we had prior to booking as well as once onsite. Highly recommend this property as it comes with your own personal concierge service!! 😊😊 The stream was so peaceful to view from the perfect back deck. The hot tub was a welcome location in the evening after a good day exploring Helen! We will be renting this property again... A definite MUST!!!

Great location. Right on the river. The cabin was perfect with everything you need including 2 bbq grills(charcol and gas)along with a riverbank fire pit. New LG appliances. Will stay there again when in Helen.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Property was really nice, updated, well-kept and comfortable. Enjoyed hearing the babbling brook right off our deck while relaxing in the hot tub. Gas fireplace was very nice for the cool mornings and evenings. Beds were very comfy.
Our host, Jennifer, was EXCELLENT! She was welcoming, courteous and very friendly. Stayed in contact with us before, during and after our visit. Provided information about our stay, the property, the area and points of interest. Best host ever! Thank you!

This cabin was so perfect for our family and our fur buddy! We had the easiest time finding the cabin and checking in thanks to Jennifer. Her attention to detail with making our stay special was so sweet! From helping make our doggy comfortable with extras to leaving us a bottle of delicious wine to fuzzy robes to use! To extra towels for the patio Jacuzzi to how thoughtfully done all the comfortable furnishing were, made us NOT want to leave! The river is so peaceful and we drank our coffee and sipped wine right outside watching and enjoying the view. The firepit, fireplace and grills were set up and she even made our sona day leaving us firewood! We had s'mores and grilled dinner as well as the entire kitchen stocked with everything you'll need minus a few things? A Keurig and extra coffee pods to enjoy! The beds were SOOO cozy and after all the exploring, the jet tub or Jacuzzi helps the aching muscles.recover! The town was epic and fun for all ages. Food is walking distance and delish! The Octoberfest was unforgettable! I can't wait to be back every year! Our new family favorite spot!

We fully enjoyed our week at Alpine River Haus! The house was clean and in a great location. Our host Jennifer was amazing with suggestions of what to do during our stay. Check in and check out we’re a breeze. We spent hours on the deck enjoying family, playing cards, and and listening to the river. We would love to stay again next time we are in Helen!

The host was fabulous and accommodating throughout our stay. She was available and gave fabulous recommendations for restaurants and recreation while we were there. The cabin is fully equipped with anything you might need. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The kitchen had anything you could possibly use available if cooking your own meals. The back balcony has a great view of the river and feels secluded while being just steps to town.

This home is a standout. Bring your float tubes or beach chairs and be sure to enjoy the water access! That was one of the most relaxing parts of our trip! We will be back!

This cabin was in an ideal location to the attractions of Helen but tucked in wooded area and next to a stream with a feel of seclusion of one on one with nature. Loved the early morning back porch coffee. The cabin was thoughtfully and tastefully decorated for beauty and convienence. Instructions on everything was very clear and the host available if needed. Yes. We would visit again.
